Issues with Sections in WebI report

I am working in BOXIR2. I created a WebI report where I created sections on almost all fields of the Table. I need to create the report as book which almost 58 pages. I am getting following issues.
1) When I run the report some of the sections are appearing several times in the same page.
2) Some of the Fields are not completely seen in the report.
3) The values in some sections are displaying "MultiValues".
4) Also, in the prompts, I need to give one value as "ALL" which will fetch all the exiting values for that field (58 values) and display the results each in one page.
Please let me know how to avoid these issues.

Hi,
1) Copy the existing object and paste in the same class.rename with all.Like my object is 'Department Name'.second object is 'Department Name with All'.Edit 'Department Name with All' and add (union select 'ALL' from dual) in the sql and checked the check box do not generate sql.
2) Go to the insert and tab and select the condition. create condition like this.and parse the condition.
(@Select(Department\Department Name) in @Prompt('Department','A','Department\Department Name',multi,free)
OR ('ALL') IN @Prompt('Department','A','Department\Department Name with all',multi,free) )
3) use this condition in the report and you can hide the 'with All' object in the universe so that it can not visible to the users as this is specfic for the All condition.

Having issue while opening BI4 webi report instance using CMC on IE8 browser.
Steps to reproduce the error:
1. Login to CMC
2. View Webi History.
3. Open successful instance (For the 1st or 2nd time reports are opening up, from the 3rd time it just freeze the session)
4. After it get freeze we need to close the IE using Task Manager.
Can any one please suggest a resolution for this issue.

first thing is to check is if your chrome version is supported by your current BO version as specified in the PAM (is it?). If the chrome version is supported, and you still have an issue, then you can check with a sap support engineer.

Photoshop batch production - issues with 'save for web'

Hi,
I'm having an issue with 'save for web' on a batch. I've just spent the last 2 hours searching the web and this forum and although the issue gets touched upon, the threads either suddenly head off in another direction, end, or i just struggle to make sense of the answers given.
I have 350 images that i want to resize to thumbnails and then save for web. 2 hours ago this seemed like a 5 minute job.
I creat an action called 'batch_thumbnail' and press 'Record'.
I then select 'File' > 'Open' and select an image to open using the dialog box.
I then select 'Image' > 'Image Size' and resize the image to the thumbnail size (200 x 125) and press 'OK'.
I then select 'File' > 'Save for Web and Devices', set my optimisation settings and press 'save'.
Using the dialog box that pops up, i navigate to a pre-created directory called 'thumbs' and press 'save'.
I then select 'File' > 'Close' and on the dialog box that pops up i select 'Don't Save'.
I then stop the action from recording.
So far so good.
I then select 'File' > 'Automate' > 'Batch...' and the dialog box appears.
I select my action in the 'Action' drop down menu.
In 'Source' i set the drop down menu to 'Folder', select 'Choose' and select the target directory with my 350 images in.
In 'Destination' i set the drop down menu to 'Folder', select 'Choose' and select the target directory (thumbs), where i wish to save the thumbs.
In 'File Naming' i leave the first box as 'document name', set the second to '_thumb' and have the third as 'extension'.
I then click 'OK'.
And this is where the problem begins. Everything works fine till it trys to save the second image. I can see what's happening, as the directory path and image name that are used whilst setting up the SFW part of the action, are getting hardcoded into the action. So every resulting image is being saved as the same file, instead of being overriden by the settings in 'File Naming'.
I've tried selecting 'Override action 'Save' command', but it doesn't make any difference. Is it actually possible to batch produce files using 'Save for Web and Devices'?

Issue while opening saved web reports

Hi,
The web reports are saved as excel to local machine using 'Export to Excel' fuctionality.
But when the excel report is opened from local machine BW system requests a UID/PWD.
It is a Standard functionality when Hiearchy images are present in the web report.
One solution is to create an anonymous log in for the BEX service or MIME service or create an alias for the BEX service and use the same in the URl. But we can not implement any of these solutions now.
Is there any other solution existing for this like creating a class and create a service for the class and handle this logon issues at the class itself.
Can anybody please let me know how we can handle this?

Issues while saving the Webi Report locally in pdf and Excel Format

Hi,
I am getting issues with the images on a Webi Report when I try to save the reports locally on my machine in either a pdf format or in an Excel Format.
I think the issue is that when I am trying to save the report it saves the address of the image binded in the report but it doesn't save the image/download the image and when the report is opened locally it couldn't refer to the image location.
I am using BOXIR2 with SP2.8.
I am not sure what should be the right solution for this. Any insight or resolution will definitely be helpful.

I would investigate on the load balancer and/or Apache front end servers, are you sure you don't have a keep alive setting enabled somewhere on one of these servers? in the Tomcat connector maybe?

Issues faced after integrating WebI report to C4C

Hi All,
I have Integrated a WebI report in C4C by creating an HTML mashup with report URL.
I Added the mashup as a new facet in Customers->Accounts.
Expected behaviour: The report should be visible in the new facet.
Issue: While using the HTML version of tenant, when I select this new facet I am redirected to the WebI portal
Is this the Expected behavior? If not, how can I prevent this from happening?

Mashup details
2. In Accounts, went to adaptation mode->Edit Screen and added TESTWEBI as a new facet
3. Switch to HTML5 link of the tenant. Navigate to Customers->Accounts->TestWebi
4. We are redirected to WebI portal
What could be the reason for this behavior? I tried the same steps with a Bex /BI report and there was no such issue. On load of the page I got a popup asking for uname password and the report loaded as an anscreen component on the page.
But any WebI report, whether generated from Bex query or other data sources is causing this issue.
Any thought on why would this issue occur would be very helpful.

Issue with scheduling a quarterly report in Central Management Console

I'm new to BusinessObjects and am a brand new member of the forum here and this is my maiden post and I'm hoping that the community here can help with an issue I have encountered. Basically we are using BusinessObjects Exterprice XI Release 2 and had a report schedule set-up to run Every N months Where N is 3, the start date was set as the 22:30 on 31/3/2009 and the report ran as scheduled on that date, however, the report didn't subsequently run at the end of Q2. I suspect it may be due to the date being set as the 31st March and that, ft is is to run every 3 months, that it tried to roll forward to 31st June which is obviously an invalid date. Has anyone seen this issue before and can you advise on the possible reason and a workaround/solution?

If you are using SAP BO XI R3.x, you can use "Import wizard" or LCM for replacing \ overwriting the existing version of any objects (Programs, Crystal, webi reports etc..,) from one environment to another (Dev-QA, QA-UAT, UAT-Prod).
If you are using SAP BI 4.x, you can use Promotion Management which is integrated within the CMC to replace or overwrite the existing version of any objects from one environemnt to another.

Issue with SSL in web service.

We are having synchronous web service to proxy scenario in XI. We are trying to send a binary data using the SOAP web service to SAP via XI. Initially, we were posting large binary data using HTTP connection via XI from the SOAP client. The scenario was working without any issues.
Since the data is sensitive changed the web service from HTTP to HTTPS.The interface works without issues when we test it using the SOAP client for testing. When the data is sent using the Dot Net application (the end application) using the same webservice, URL (HTTPS connection) the message errors out. The connection is borken and the message fails. In this scenario, XI does not even receive the message which I can make out looking into the SOAP adapter communication channel.
The interesting fact here is the same Dot Net application is able to connect and send smaller binary data using HTTPS connection.
Could you please let us know if this could be the issue with HTTPS connection on XI side? I doubt it to be an issue on XI side because the adapter does not even receive any message when the scenario fails. But we used some HTTPS monitoring tools and found that the Dot Net Application receives some encrypted response from the server which the application is not able to decrypt and the handshake breaks.
Could you please throw some inputs into this issue.

Issue with indicator values in report display

Hi All,
I am getting an issue with valutype #.
we have account restricted hirerarchy ,fiscal year period and Valuetype in rows .
I need to show the actuals indicator of value type 10 data in one row for each fiscal year period.But some of the key figures we are getting # data .valuetype indiator is repeating 2 times for each period.but we need to post this # values to 10.Any one have any idea how to handle this.
for example : my report is displaying like this
Account code :   Fiscal Year period   Value type      Keyfig 1    keyfig2   Keyfig 3

But I need the report like below

   in the Query, You can filter your query to actual value i.e. 10. display KF1 and KF2 as it is coming from source. create restricted KF with restriction on account, fiscal year period and value type (= #).
you will get exact value. or while loading to cube or ods.. you can move that value to KF3 using start routine.

Issues With Save For Web CS6

I'm having some issues with my file when trying to Save For Web. A band of transparency appears above my image even though I have everything cropped to the artboard, and the artboard is exactly the size I want the final image to be. If I uncheck "Clip to Artboard" the band of transparency disappears from the top, but reappears on the right side. It seems as if the artboard area is calculated differently in the Save For Web screen; its slightly off. I've included some images so you can see the issue.
Trying to save for web as a .png with "Clip To Artboard" selected; a tiny (one pixel tall?) band of transparency on the top of the image.
Trying to save for web as a .png without "Clip To Artboard" selected; the image seems to shift and the band of transparency appears on the right size. Also some of the pieces of the image appear on the bottom outside of the artboard.
I made sure to crop each element of my image to fit exactly on the artboard. Previously, I had made sure to use a clipping mask exactly the size of the artboard and still had these issues. I would like my .png to not have a band of transparency. It has the same issue when I change it to .jpg, but instead has a white matte band. What am I doing wrong, or is this just an issue with Illustrator? Thanks in advance!

Depending on your use of the image in context, won't the transparent strip "disappear?"
The only solution I know is to open it in Photoshop and manually crop out the transparent strip. AI or Save for Web also seems to antialias the edge of free-standing art over a transparent background. I just make the artwork slightly larger than the final cropped size, save for web, then crop in Photoshop.

Repalce comma with Space in Webi report.

Source control issues with Azure Pack Web Sites

Struggling to get my Azure Pack Web Sites POC off the ground. Infrastructure is built and I'm ready to deploy a .NET app. I can successfully deploy an app from the gallery and tested and it works so we're good there.
However I'm having an issue with source control and getting an app deployed. We have a local instance of Github enterprise here we use for all code repositories. Can I use this? In my tenant site I have created a new web site and added
an external repository for source control. I put in the HTTP link to my local github enterprise repo and it tries for a minute and returns the following error:
Command 'git.exe fetch external ...' aborted due to no output and CPU activity for 60 seconds. You may increase SCM_COMMAND_IDLE_TIMEOUT setting to solve the issue.
git.exe fetch external --progress
There's nowhere I can specify credentials or SSH keys so azure pack can communicate with my repo (i'm assume this is the issue). I can't put company custom code out on codeplex or public github so that's out. Am I trying to do something that
isn't possible in Azure Pack?

I guess I'm confused. When I go into my web site and click the Setup deployment from source control, under the External repository option it says both Git and Mercurial repositories are supported. This is a different button than the GitHub option
for source code. So what's the point of that option is you can't actually use a git repo?

Issue with creation of web service

hello,
i use Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0.0 and i want to create a new Web service client and proxy to communicate with Bi publisher web services.
1) I Choose the client style JAX-WS Style
2) in the select Web services Description i set WSDL document URL to
