It is possible to get a response of a asynchronous RFC call thru wait loop
Hi Experts,
The requirement is that i queue up all the requests from a web services ( One queue per plant for example) which i set in the HTTP sender URL ( i mean the queue name ). and i am posting the records thru a RFC call.
1. Let the RFC call be synchronous and in case the R/3 system is done.. Will the XI queue keep the Call and keep on retrying it till the R/3 system is up.
2. Otherwise if the RFC call be asynchronous, is it possible to introduce a wait loop in BPM to listen to the RFC till i get some response ( i think this is not possible).
Need your suggestion on the same...
The requirement demands that no single request from the web service should be lost.. in case of failure of R/3 they should be queued up and re tried.. Forget about the error because of exception in RFC this will be taken care manually..
Thanks for your response in advance.
Hi Rajesh,
you can queue and restart only asynchronous messages. I think you can build a Business Process, where you repeat sending a message til you have success or maximum number of tries is reached. But no good idea, coz you will get timeout at HTTP sender. Aynchronous messages dont have a response.
May be, XI can solve your task in the standard: In transaction SMQR you can just configure what you describe. All asynchronous messages will be queued and restartet in case of receiver not reachable. You can configure no of retries and intervall between.

Strange response time for an RFC call viewed from STAD on R/3 4.7
Hello,
On our R/3 4.7 production system, we have a lot of external RFC calls to execute an abap module function. There are 70 000 of these calls per day.
The mean response time for this RFC call is 35 ms.
Some times a few of them (maybe 10 to 20 per day) are way much longer.
I am currently analysing with STAD one of these long calls which lasted 10 seconds !
Here is the info from STAD
Response time : 10 683 ms
Total time in workprocess : 10 683 ms
CPU time : 0 ms
RFC+CPIC time : 0 ms
Wait for work process 0 ms
Processing time 10.679 ms
Load time 1 ms
Generating time 0 ms
Roll (in) time 0 ms
Database request time 3 ms
Enqueue time 0 ms
Number Roll ins 0
Roll outs 0
Enqueues 0
Load time Program 1 ms
Screen 0 ms
CUA interf. 0 ms
Roll time Out 0 ms
In 0 ms
Wait 0 ms
Frontend No.roundtrips 0
GUI time 0 ms
Net time 0 ms
There is nearly no abap processing in the function module.
I really don't uderstand what is this 10 679 ms processing time especially with 0 ms cpu time and 0 ms wait time.
A usual fast RFC call gives this data
23 ms response time
16 ms cpu time
14 ms processing time
1 ms load time
8 ms Database request time
Does anybody have an idea of what is the system doing during the 10 seconds processing time ?
Regards,
OlivierHi Graham,
Thank you for your input and thoughts.
I will have to investigate on RZ23N and RZ21 because I'm not used to use them.
I'm used to investigate performance problems with ST03 and STAD.
My system is R/3 4.7 WAS 6.20. ABAP and BASIS 43
Kernel 6.40 patch level 109
We know these are old patch levels but we are not allowed to stop this system for upgrade "if it's not broken" as it is used 7/7 24/24.
I'm nearlly sure that the problem is not an RFC issue because I've found other slow dialog steps for web service calls and even for a SAPSYS technical dialog step of type <no buffer>. (what is this ?)
This SAPSYS dialog step has the following data :
User : SAPSYS
Task type : B
Program : <no buffer>
CPU time 0 ms
RFC+CPIC time 0 ms
Total time in workprocs 5.490 ms
Response time 5.490 ms
Wait for work process 0 ms
Processing time 5.489 ms
Load time 0 ms
Generating time 0 ms
Roll (in+wait) time 0 ms
Database request time 1 ms ( 3 Database requests)
Enqueue time 0 ms
All hundreds of other SAPSYS <no buffer> steps have a less than 5 ms response time.
It looks like the system was frozen during 5 seconds...
Here are some extracts from STAD of another case from last saturday.

Is it possible to get a log of the Face Time calls?
I use Face Time on my iPhone 5. When you check the logs on the Face Time app on the phone, you can only see the most recent calls and duration. Is it possible to get find the log over a much longer time period, like a month? Is there any place where I can find it?
I'm afraid there is only the "most recent" list. Since the calls are mostly placed via Wi-Fi, your carrier can't record the dialed numbers either.

Is it possible to get a response from anyone at Verizon about my bill?
I need to speak with someone about getting an adjustment to my bill. I have called 3 times, and each time, I get put on hold for various amounts of time anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes, then there is a sound of a ringing phone, as if I'm being transferred, then the phone goes dead. I have to start over. This is appalling service! Is there no way to speak to a human or even email a human? Is there a special number to call? If so, it's hidden on the website. This is ridiculous.
You could try calling Financial Services:

I am on a family plan and was wondering is it possible to get a detailed break down of my calls and sms that would include phone numbers for my line only?
If you are the account owner, you can log into your My Verizon ccount online and view the usage details for all the lines on the account. If you are only an account member, you should be able to view some details for your line, but I am not sure exactly how much.

Please tell me how can i hold all the values together and write it at once in a single file. I have tried in sdn but i couldnot get the relevant answer.note i need to perform the same with out bpm.
Thanks and Regards
KarthikeyanThat should be possible using RFC mapping lookups, which is explained in detail in https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a03e7b02-eea4-2910-089f-8214c6d1b439

IDoc to webservice and get the response back into another IDoc.
Hi guys
We have a scenario where we need to send an IDoc to webservice and get the response back into another IDoc.
Questions:
1. Is this scenario possible without a BPM? or do we need to use BPM (Sync-Async bridge).
2. Is there a Async to Sync bridge in BPM?
3. How do I use this bridge in my scenario and customize it?
4. If not possible, provide me the related docs using BPM for the same scenario.
Appreciate your quick response

Is it possible to get control of the .SWF files in JSP files
Hi All
In my web application, I got 4 swf buttons which are created by flash and they are embedded in the jsp's. Each button perform the navigation to other page.
this is the jsp file.

Bidder should be able to get create response button before payment of Tender fee
Hello Friends
I would like to discuss and find solution for below scenario :-
In case of Open Tender, Tender Fee is required to pay either Online/Offline before submission of bid because it is marked required in customization “Define Tendering Option”. Subsequently When Vendor Clicks on Register button and system check whether Tender Fee is paid by the vendor or not. If tender fee is paid then system show “create Response button” but tender fee is not paid by the vender then system doesn’t show “Create Response button”.
Business requirement is to Appear Create Response button before payment of Tender fee but when we marked “Tender Fee” as optional in customization “Define Tendering Option” than Create Response button is appear before payment of tender fee but other side from purchaser portal while payment offline payment, Tender Fee is not showing in drop down of Related link. I am looking a solution if Tender Fee is marked as optional to get Create response button and Tender Fee option is to be also show in drop down of Related link.
Vendor Portal:
Purchaser Portal:I doubt there will be a 1 per customer rule....this wasn't the case with the iPhone 4 and that release may have been one worthy of it since it was the first time after years of wanting it Verizon customers were getting the chance to get their hands on one. But as far as the original question, yes you can get it. You are well within the exchange period so you can either exchange or just return it now and then buy the 4s on the preorder date...or the store release date. If you have any concerns about the possibility of not liking the 4s after getting it and wanting to be able to exchange it after that you might want to just return the iPhone(s) you have now and then buy the 4s when available. I say this because if you exchange now and then decide you don't care for the 4s you won't be allowed to exchange again to a different device. It won't matter if you love the 4s....matters a lot if you don't and end up stuck with it because of that one exchange policy.

RFC - XI - WebService :: Not getting complete Response from WS
Hi
I am working on a following Synchronous scenario
<b>SAP R/3 --> Sender RFC Adapter --> XI --> Rec. SOAP Adapter --> MI Web Service</b>
Now I tested the structure of Request/Response Message from WebService in XML Spy, & designed my Request/Response Message structure in XI based on that.
Now when I am sending the request from <u>XML Spy</u>,the Response message which is coming is this -->
<i><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<soapenv:Body>
<ns1:getResponse soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns1="http://www.MI/util">
<getReturn href="#id0"/>
</ns1:getResponse>
<multiRef id="id0" soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="ns2:AddressDTO" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns2="http://to.MIutil.com">
<latitude href="#id1"/>
<longitude href="#id2"/>
<postcode xsi:type="soapenc:string">111</postcode>
<state xsi:type="soapenc:string">XYZ</state>
<streetName xsi:type="soapenc:string">NYDEL</streetName>
<streetNumber xsi:type="soapenc:string">444</streetNumber>
<streetType xsi:type="soapenc:string">ST</streetType>
<suburb xsi:type="soapenc:string">SQY</suburb>
</multiRef>
<multiRef id="id1" soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="xsd:double" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">-33.87571285585008</multiRef>
<multiRef id="id2" soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="xsd:double" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">51.20783220341076</multiRef>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope></i>
{ <b>Pls. take note that it is referring variables</b>}
But when I am sending the Request from SAP R/3 <u>using SAP XI</u>, I am getting the Response message from WebService like this -->
<i><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
- <!-- Call Adapter
-->
- <ns1:getResponse xmlns:ns1="http://www.MI/util" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<getReturn href="#id0" />
</ns1:getResponse></i>
which suggest that operation is getting called successfully & response is coming back.
Can you tell me what is the reason that why I am not getting the rest of the response .
Regards
- Lalit Chaudhary -Hi,
Yes it can be possible, you have to maintain SOAP Header.
please see the below links..

Is it possible to get a discount on the Iphone 5
Is it possible to get a discount on the iphone 5 ?
The reson is because I'm trying to buy one for my dad's birth day for the lowest price i can get.
Is it possible to give an apple product to apple, and get a discount for a
product i would like to buy?
Or just a discount?
In this position i would like to give an Iphone 4 and get a discount for
Iphone 5 is that possible ?
If not is it pssible to get a disount?
Waiting for a response
Maxime SellierApple does not take trade-ins. In a few countries Apple does work with a company who will give you some return on an existing device; for the US, see:
http://www.apple.com/recycling/gift-card/
Similar programs are available in a few other countries, and some dealers may have their own trade-in programs. But you most probably can get more for your iPhone 4 if you sell it yourself.

My company ordered my iPhone 6 Plus 16GB on my behalf on 9/25. I am unable to get an order # from them so I can't track it. Is it possible to get an estimated shipping date? I see that today for orders being made it's 11/13, but hopefully since it was ordered last week it could come a little sooner? I know it's wishful thinking, but do business customers ever get their orders expedited?
Thanks for your responses.Thanks ChaunceyM_VZW! Unfortunately, I am not the authorized user for my company and unable to get the number. I think my only hope of getting a shipping estimate is if someone else on here who ordered on or around 9/25 posted their estimate.

Getting the responses to be dated
Where do I go to get my responses dated? ie the first column in the response area.
Hi,
Is it possible that you hid the column that contain the time a response was submitted? To check if that's the case, follow these steps:
1. Click on the column letter to show the column pop-up menu
2. If the "Unhide" menu item is not disabled, click it to expand the list of hidden columns (see screenshot below)
3. If the Time Submitted column is in the list of hidden columns, click the menu item to unhide it
Regards,
Brian
