Ithis ipad is supervised by another computer cannot be used with this computer help

i need help this ipad3 is supervised by another computer and cannot be used with this computer please help me i do'not know what i should be do help thanks

It depends of what type you have. If it is your own personal iPad you should have any problem but if it is a school owned iPad then you'd have to ask the teacher who ever gave it to you. I have a school owned iPad and I e-mailed someone about it and asked and she told me to use cloud but I am/was confused and I will try again soon.

I have the CANON REBEL T5 1200D, and when i connect it to my mac which is 10.10 the new OS X YOSEMITE it says that it "Cannot be used with this version of the operating system" why does it say that if my camera is listed under the supported digital cameras for OS X YOSEMITE?

Put simply, the minimum system requirements for iTunes have changed. You need a Mac running at least OS X 10.6.8.
It's best you look online to see if your model of Mac can be upgraded to at least 10.6.8 "Snow Leopard". It should still be possible to order a copy of Snow Leopard if so.

  • Mac OS X Server 4.1, Xcode 6.3.1 "This version of Xcode cannot be used with this server"

    I'm utterly confused.
The documentation for Mac OS X Server (from https://help.apple.com/serverapp/mac/4.0/#/apdA154F061-7CE4-4A58-843D-DC2CE3A1AE 8C ) shows that Xcode 6 or later (my emphasis). I have installed Mac OS X 10.10.3, Mac OS X Server 4.1, Xcode 6.3.1. I have no apps in the App Store's "Update" tab that need to be updated (just now double-checked). I clicked to the Xcode tab under "Services" in OS X Server, clicked the "Choose Xcode…" button, selected the version of Xcode from the Applications folder on the root HDD, and got the error message "This version of Xcode cannot be used with OS X Server."
    So .... now what?

Well, for some reason it just started working.  I was busy trying to fix another issue when I noticed that the Xcode service was running.  I would still like to know what happened in case I have a similar problem with the next OS/Server upgrade, but for now it's at least running.

  • HT4972 When trying to update to 5.1.1 it tells me to do it on the computer i initially used with this ipod 4th g.  This is the computer i used initially.  It says i will loose all my music and i don't want to do that.  HELP, Ashley.

I can't seem to get my ipod 4g to recognize that this computer is the computer i initially used to start this brand new.  It tells me i will loose all my music.  Help please, I guess I'm just stupid!

    If necessary:
    - Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party progrtam like one of those discussed here:
    Copy music
--- When everything is on your computer, connect the iPod to your computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
--- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.
Sometimes a computer glitch causes the iPod to see the iTunes library as a new one.

  • "Cannot be used with this version of the operating system"

So I'm on a IMac running OX 10.8.5, avoiding Mavericks because it's not yet compatable to some other software programs I use, is there an update for Mac 10.8.5 and above?

There have not been new firmware updates for the camera, but there may be newer software updates for the Canon software on your computer.
You can find the latest software here and compare to the versions you have installed:  http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_rebel_t3_18_55mm_is_ii_lens_...

  • ITunes says iPad is supervised by another computer?

I have a school distributed iPad and they gave us the freedom to put music on it. However, when I plug in my iPad into my PC, an error message comes up and says, 'iPad is supervised by another computer and cannot be used with this computer,' and then won't let me do anything else with it, so I can't sync music to my iPad. The iPad doesn't show up under devices or anything. Help!
So far I've tried logging in on both my iPad and PC with my iTunes account, turned on home sharing on both devices, turned on iPad to automatically download music from other devices, and downloaded a free song on my iPad (I hoped it would trigger something).

Supervision Mode seems to embed itself into the operating system. In Apple Configurator, I had to unassign myself from the iPad. That restarts the iPad. This is something your IT Administrator has to do, but I doubt they will take it out of Supervisor mode as that means the devices can be stolen and used by anyone.
You are getting this error message?
Someone, your IT Administrator, used Apple Configurator to lock down your device and turned on "Supervision" in Apple Configurator:

  • While syncing iPad with my computer, i get an error message: cannot back-up to this computer

while syncing iPad with my computer, i get an error message: cannot back-up to this computer. I'd like to know why?  Is it safe to download IOS6 if the ipad is not backed up?

This is the same computer that I originally synced with the iPad and the first backup worked. Is there any way too solve this problem so I can upgrade to iOS 6

  • Backing up iPad - 'Backup cannot be stored on this computer'

    Hi all
Decided today to upgrade to iOS 4 on my iPad, running Snow Lepoard and latest version of iTunes. When I try to update it, after a few minutes, it says that the backup cannot be saved to this computer, so I cannot update it. I read that a solution to this is to delete the backup from iTunes Device Preferences.. and I have done this, but I got the same problem again. When I went back into iTunes Device Preferences, the backup is still there... i've tried deleting it many times and it just won't work
Any help either deleting the backup of preferably helping to get my iPad updated is greatly appreciated

With iTunes closed trying deleting (I would move vise delete) the backup using finder. You can find the location of the file in the following under About Syncing and Backups.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4079
I would also try repairing permissions via the Disk Utility.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
I have seen previous versions mentioned in a pop up message before on iCloud.com, but I'm not really sure at all how it would help, as I couldn't get it to do anything.
The best advice I have at this time is to back up your work on your iOS device by regularly saving it to iTunes, if anything goes wrong you can then either load it into the numbers app again on the device or recover it via iTunes on your computer.
My syncs are immediate, I never get chance to see if it works in the background, sorry.

  • These apps cannot be accepted on this computer error

I am trying to update iPhoto and iMovie from versions 9.3 (iPhoto) and 9.0.5 (iMovie) to iPhoto 9.4.3 and iMovie 9.0.9. I keep on getting an error message that reads "These apps cannot be accepted on this computer. Future updates of these apps can be found through Software Update." Well, software update just launches the App store. I have done extensive searching on forums and tried to delete the apps and run the updater like suggested, but it still does not work. There is also no option to "Accept" the applications in the Mac App Store.
I am running the latest version of OSX (10.8.4) and have never had problens updating before. I have a mid 2009 15' MBP and have been the only owner. My laptop came with iLife '09 and, as the very rude guy from apple support pointed out, I have never purchased iLife 11.. but have somehow been allowed to update through software update and the Mac App store (have never pirated the software, as the Apple tech suggested). I guess my question to you is:
    1. Why is it suddenly giving me problems when I try and update the software and 2. How am I supposed to buy the software if I am only given the option to "Update." I would also love to know how I've been able to keep updating for this long without having to pay for iLife '11.
    Thanks for your help.
    Corey

There are problems with some of what you describe. iLife '09 was not Mac App Store (MAS) software. iLife '11 originally was also not MAS software. iLife '11 is a major paid upgrade from iLife '09 and Software Update (SU) would not have upgraded your iLife '09 to iLife '11.
iLife '11 did not transition to the MAS until after the MAS was issued to the public as beta software for OS X 10.6.6 in JAN 2011. After that, Apple began phasing boxed software out of their stores as the supply ran out and iLife was issued as 3 individual apps for $14.99; iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand, sold only in the MAS. The MAS cannot update the original boxed version of iLife '11. Those apps can only be updated through SU.
So the part of your story that doesn't work is how you got from iLife '09 to iLife '11. You did not get there through SU. And if the MAS is reporting that those apps must be updated through SU, they would be the original, none-MAS versions that came preinstalled on new Macs or as boxed software. Could you have transfered these iLife '11 apps from another Mac? A Mac that is newer than your own and would have had the boxed set versions of iLife '11 preinstalled?

  • çnow won't sync back to my iPad because it says I don't have permission on this computer. I don't want to download it from iTunes again because it took up a lot of bandwidth. What's the deal

I bourght "E O Wilson's Life on Earth" and backed it up to my iMac. Now it won't sync back to my iPad because it says I don't have permission on this computer. I don't want to download it from iTunes again because it took up a lot of bandwidth. What's the deal?
I also made the big mistake of downloading a free book about the making of the movie "Frankenweenie." Mega-memory eater. Now it wants to download additions and started to do so---now says paused. I can't delete the bloody thing. Seems like nothing I've downloaded, including free books, can be deleted. How can I get rid of this garbage?
Is there any way to just transfer my music from my iMac to my iPad and not affect anything else on my iPad? The whole iBooks thing is just a mess as far as I'm concerned. Is there any way to just drag and drop?

"I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up."
Correct.  it does not magially appear in other places.  It will only be where you put it.
"I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where  I sync everything. "
Correct as well.  Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.  Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one.

I understand, while you may have knowledge with PCs you don't have the diagnostic tools available to you to professionaly diagnose a Mac. Apple does not make those tools available for the general public, they are only available to Apple and AASPs. To install the OS on the machine you need to locate the original 10.5.x install disc that shipped with the machine and insert it into the SuperDrive. Below are Apples instructions for setting up the machine:
    Turn on the computer.
Insert the Mac OS X Install DVD into the optical drive, or insert the MacBook Air Software Reinstall Drive into the USB port.
    Restart the computer.
Press and hold the "C" key while the computer starts up. The computer will start up using the Install media. Alternatively, press and hold the Option key at startup to select the volume containing the installer.
If your are using a wireless mouse, a mouse icon should appear asking you to turn the mouse on so that the computer can discover it.
Select a language, then press the right arrow key.
Click the Utilities menu, the choose Disk Utility.
Select a volume to erase (usually called Macintosh HD).
    Click the Erase tab.
Click Erase... Important: This step will completely erase your hard drive. If you have installed Microsoft Windows using Boot Camp, or have multiple partitions, this procedure will erase the partition you select.
A dialog box appears asking if you want to erase the partition: click Erase.
After the partition is erased, choose Quit Disk Utility from the Disk Utility menu.
Part Two: Installing the operating system
When the Mac OS X Snow Leopard Installer screen appears, click Continue.
When the license agreement appears, click Agree.
Select the disk you erased. It should now be highlighted with a green arrow.
Click Install. A status bar appears on the bottom of the screen while Mac OS X installs.
An Additional Information screen appears, advising you that you operating system has been installed. Click Continue.
An Install Succeeded screen appears. Click Restart.
Part Three: Completing the Mac OS X Setup Assistant
When the restart has completed, a welcome video plays, then country/region selection screen appears.
Select your country or region and click Continue.
Select a keyboard layout and click Continue.
A migration screen appears. If you wish to migrate your data from another Macintosh, see Migration tips and tricks. If you do not wish to migrate, or want to migrate later, select "Do not transfer my information now" and click Continue.
A Wireless Service screen appears if you have wireless services available within range of your computer. Select "On" and click Continue.
If the network is password protected, you be asked for a password when you select it. Type the password and click Continue.
An Apple ID screen appears. This is used to purchase content from the iTunes store. When complete, click Continue.
If you do not have an Apple ID, click Continue to move to the next screen.
A Registration Information screen appears. You are not required to fill this out, but it is helpful if you do. When complete, click Continue and your product registration will be sent immediately.
If Mac OS X servers are available on your network, you'll be asked if you'd like to log on to them. If not, click Continue.
A Create Your Account screen appears. This will be used to create a User Account with Login ID and Password for you computer. You should remember this password. You'll be asked for it when you install new software or perform other administrative tasks on your computer. When complete, click Continue and your account will be created immediately.
A screen to select your user picture appears. Take a snapshot with the built-in camera or select a picture from your Library. When complete, click Continue.
A MobileMe screen appears. Select an option and click Continue.
A Thank You screen appears. Click Go to complete the Mac OS X Setup Assistant.
Eject the Mac OS X Install DVD by dragging its icon to the Trash.
    Good luck.

  • "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer." New Hard Drive.

I have just bought a new Seagate Hard Drive and I want to install Mac OS X 10.5 on it. My MacBook is from the days of Tiger, but I have since upgraded to Leopard using the upgrade discs that Apple gave out.
My next door neighbor has a brand new MacBook, so I borrowed her "Mac OS X Install Disc 1" which has a lovely copy of 10.5.2 on it. I put the drive into my computer and partitioned a Mac OS X Volume (Journaled).
    THE PROBLEM:
When I then try to boot from the Install Disc 1 and install Leopard, the computer says "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer."
Need a solution. Thanks in advance.
PS - I would use my install discs but they are at home in another part of the country.

Well, Apple would probably point out that what you are trying to do violates the EULA.
Technically speaking, however, the issue is that the install/restore DVDs that ship with Macs do not carry all the drivers, or even all of the various versions of libraries that support all of the various models of Macs. The come-with-your-Mac disks are different than the retail versions of the OS (also, the come-with-your-Mac ones bundle iLife, which the retail ones don't).
Because the come-with-your-Mac disk contains only the drivers specific to that generation and model line of Mac, it contains a stub of code that verifies that your hardware matches the driver set on the install/restore DVD.
Your friend has a different model of Mac, with different hardware, so her install/restore disk won't work in yours. Solution: go get the retail boxed version of Leopard.
