ITunes 10.5 just doesn't open in Windows 7 (32 bit)

Hi everyone! I really hope anyone here can help me out.
This morning I started my iTunes and an upgrade installation for the 10.5 get started, as usual. After the installation was completed the new iTunes has just stoped to work. When I double click the iTunes icon to start the software nothing happens! No response at all! No iTunes window or any kind of error message.
I've already uninstalled it 3 times, but the issue still remains, same behaviour. Quicktime is working fine. In the task manager, the service iTunes.exe appears for only 3 seconds and then goes away.
These are the services that remains in Task Manager:
- AppleMobileDeviceService.exe
- iPodService.exe
- iTunesHelper.exe
I've tryied also running a windows registry cleanup before the installation, but...
I just followed the instructions to have the iTunes upgraded as usual. The installation went with no error (apparently!). But I don't have a clue about what might did wrong! :/

1. First check if this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?
If that works, to prevent having to do the same process everytime you restart Windows, go to. START button, type in
MSCONFIG
Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
Restart Windows.
2. If that fails, refer to following article to remove SC Info.lib file:

3.  If that fails, repair or reinstall your Quicktime.  START / CONTROL PANEL / PROGRAMS N FEATURES / hightlight QUICKTIME and click REAPIR.

  • Just updates itunes and now it doesn't open at all, not even an error message

    I just updated itunes and now it doesn't open, no error message comes up, it's like i never even clicked it, well for a second the 'in progress' circle spins
    tried restarting the computer, that wasn't any help
    cleaned up registry with ccleaner
    even opened up programs and features and right clicked it instead of uninstalling it i clicked repair, no help either
    please anyone have a solution?

    try with this one
    uninstall all the apple application S/w from your pc,
    Reboot it
    Now download a fresh itunes from apple and try installing
    Reboot it

  • Lion Mail doesn't open a window

    I keep finding unwelcome changes in Lion, especially Mail. Now I notice that Mail doesn't open a window if I bring Mail to the front and no window is already open, and if a window is minimized it won't open it either as it used to do in Leopard. I have to go to the added trouble of going to File > New Viewer Window to get the regular window or click on the window in the dock. I don't understand why this was changed, it just makes more trouble.
    I know people complain about changes, but I just need to know if there's a way, maybe with the help of Terminal, to bring it back to where it was?
    (I am in classic layout)

    hmmmm. there can be some connection problems with ipods and Toshiba laptops. so i guess it's plausible that you're getting a really subtle version of that:

    I notice Safari 5.1 (and now 5.1.1) doesn't open new window when ⌘N. The button highlight but no window appears. ⌘T is ok. but not ⌘N.
    Is someone have this problem ? And patch this ?

    Could be the preferences are corrupted ..
    Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
    Quit then relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, move the .plist file to the Trash.
    If the that didn't make a difference, click Reset from your Safari menu bar. Select the top 5 buttons, click Reset.
    Restart your Mac.
    Try Command + N in Safari.
    Also, make sure you haven't set up keyboard shortcut in System Preferences / Keyboard - Keyboard Shortcuts that may be causing a conflict.

  • Just downloaded Firefox 4 on Windows Vista 32-bit and its not working at all.

    So I just downloaded Firefox 4 on Windows Vista 32-bit, and it's not working at all. I open up Firefox and there is not tab bar, and all the command buttons are repeated 3 times, and are on 3 different bars. This only happens with Firefox 4 and not Firefox 3.6.10. Also, when I go the menu bar and I try to click soething, nothing happens. I'm not sure why this is going on. Help anyone? Here is a link to a screenshot of my browser.

    I have this too, but doesn't even startup now? I downgraded to the previous version and all is OK. I also have a 64 bit version of Vista and it seems to work "a-OK" on that machine.
    Seems to me to be 32-bit issue.

    I just seen a possible answer...Do you have roboform installed (in the taskbar also)? If so, try disabling it or removing it and try to start again. I said above that I have 2 units and on the one (32-bit) I have Roboform installed and it crashes, but on the other one I don't...so go figure.
    According to the report I read, if you upgrade Roboform it should be OK, although I have not tested as of yet...I am still at work...

    I am unable to install itunes 10.4.1 on my dell laptop windows 7 64 bit:
    i have tried to install itunes on my windows 7 64 bit dell laptop, and everytime it says installation successfully installed, but i can't find the files anywhere in the computer, i searched all the locations, desktop ... but nothing found.
    Troubleshooting Done:
    - Tried different itunes versions; didnt work.
    - Tried to install on different locations on my computer.. C:, D:...  didnt work.
    - I empty Temp files from all users on my computers who are (Me & Admin) only; didnt work.
    - i removed all related apple files; same.
    - Uninstall all apple related support ... etc..; didnt work.
    - I have Admin access to all my files and also tried to install from Admin account; didnt work.
    I don't know what else i can do, please advise me on how to fix it, i need to backup my iphone & ipad ASAP.
    Please contact me via email, phone anytime and as soon as you can.

    Tried your advise but that too failed. Problem still continues. Again that same error  "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor".
    Please advise.

  • ITunes Bounces Twice and Doesn't Open

    I read the "iTunes just won't work" thread, followed instructions to delete everything about and including itunes, rebooting my Mac and then re-installing iTunes. So I did, but then it came to re-installing iTunes and this time it downloaded, opened on finder with iTunes.mpkg as a parcel icon. I clicked on that, Installer bounced twice on the dock and disappeared, so I have no iTunes at all now.

    You are having a problem with a completely different program, so your problem is not the same. Other than my suggestions to purplesally to use Disk Utility to repair permissions & to create a new Dock icon for AppleWorks, the solutions are unlikely to assist with a problem with Mail. Since we never heard back again from purplesally, we don't even know if those suggestions worked.
    When looking for solutions to a problem to a specific program, the best place to start is a forum for that program or your operating system. For you I suggest the Printing & Faxing forum in the Category: Mac OS X v10.3 & earlier & then choosing the Mail & Address Book forum or the Using OS X forum.
    However, some basic OS X troubleshooting/maintenance steps might help you. So, the first thing I suggest is repairing permissions using Disk Utility. Then, unless you leave your Mac on 24/7 & not asleep, run a utility to run the UNIX cron routines & clean caches. Two free ones are YASU & OnyX.
    Also, make sure your hard drive isn't too full. It depends on how you use your computer, but for most normal users a minimum of 5 gigs free space at all times after installation is recommended. Power users may need more.
    If this still doesn't work, repairing your hard drive with Disk Utility may help. Start up your Mac from the first Panther instal disk. Then, instead of running the installer, go to the Installer menu & choose Disk Utility. Select your hard drive in the left-hand panel & click Repair Disk. When it is done, quit Disk Utility then quit Installer & restart your Mac.

    I updated iTunes a few days ago and now it doesn't open. It told me I needed to update quicktime and when I did that, quicktime didn't open either! So I reinstalled quicktime and it opened after a restart, not now.
    Does anyone know what's up with this?

    i have the same problem and tried all sort of things (reinstalling itunes, disc utility etc.) that i found on this page. when i open a diffrent user account it works. but i still dont know what the problem is. when try to open it with my normal accont itunes still doesn't work

    Download WinRAR from http://www.win-rar.com/download.html
    once that is installed
    Right click the iTunesSetup.exe - Extract - Extract to folder -
    In this new folder you will see individual MSI files
    Right click each one by one and run as a administrator one at a time
    Install in this order
    iTunes  - Do not open after installer Exits
    Apple Software Update
    Apple mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Did it work?

  • Firefox just won't open. I get the little timer that indicates that something is happening but nothing ever happens, no error message, firefox just doesn't open at all. Internet Explorer opens fine and firefox opened fine yesterday.

    Firefox has always worked great, no problems. Today it just would not open at all. The hourglass showed up like it was going to open but nothing would happen. I then right clicked the icon and chose open and the same thing happened which was nothing. I get no error message at all.

    One of your add-ons might be the culprit. Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If that solves the problem, see [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and possibly [[Troubleshooting plugins]]

  • Itunes will not open in Windows Vista 32 Bit.

    I am running Windows Vista 32 bit, I have just installed the latest version of Itunes, which installs, when I go to open Itunes, I get an error message, ' MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the app may fix the problem.' I have triedd re-installing Itunes, same error message, I have also tried deleteing Itunes and installing an older version, still I get the same error message !
