ITunes 7 is crazy!

My iTunes is very slow!
And Crazy, have various bug, and interface bug's!

Strange.. the songs sound much better when i jack up volume to 100%. Anything lower than that and it sounds terrible. I tried all combinations of bitrate and frequency in quicktime control panel. No change.

Creating a new playlist in iTunes 9 - crazy

When I create a new playlist in itunes 9, my song list disappears, and a window replaces it that tells me how to drag songs into the playlist I just created. What??? Even after 20 new playlists created, this window comes up offering tutorials. (100 milion people using iTunes, and we all need a tutorial on dragging songs to a playlist?)
So each time I have to go back and find the song I wanted to drag to the new playlist in the first place.
Anybody know how to turn this annoying behaviour off ? I sent it in as a bug to Apple feedback.

It is irritating and I haven't found a fix. However, if you select a song in your library and use the File > Create New Playlist from Selection, you don't get the window. You new playlist name is already highlighted so you can type a new name for it. And iTunes 9 has fixed the problem with not being able to create a new playlist from selection unless the selection was 2 or more songs. Now you can do it with only one song.

I downloaded 3 videos from LOST and all downloaded fine. The next day I tried again (3 more), but my internet conection failed and the videos were left on hold.
EVERYTIME I go to ADVANCE --> Check for Purchases ...
It sort of names one by one, and then a sign pops up saying "There was an error downloading your purchased music. Unknown error has occured: -50. Please try later." ... and that's it!
I've tried for 3 days clicking non-stop and nothing... always the same crap. BUT ... if I download the next episodes to those (which I have been doing so) it downloads perfectly! .. it's just those 3.
I emailed apple support (in case you might be wondering) and their reply was horrible --they said "we apologize you couldn't find your music (music?? it's video!) and please make sure you check on your hard drive since they could be there." <-- that's a horrible answer. Of course they are not there, since they haven't even downloaded.
PLEASE I BEG OF YOU! HELP ME! ... I'm lost without lost --pleaaaaaase.

Your music files are porbably still on your PC. I suspect the iTunes Library.itl file got damaged.

Itunes gone crazy! Spurious feeds have suddenly appeared!

First we had the "unable to submit podcast feed" error.
Then there was (and still is) the "cover art not appearing" bug.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, I present the "three extra podcast feeds that weren't there before" bug.
Try searching for "Parker Summer Sport" in the iTunes store. Up until last night this produced the "Parker Summer Of Sport" podcast, which is well and good.
Today you now also get 3 other feeds called
"Parker Podcasts99e99a"
"Parker Podcasts99e99a23"
and
"Parker Podcasts99e99a23a"
Will somebody please explain to me what in the name of Steve Jobs is going on???
This is making Apple and iTunes look extremely silly.
Is this affecting anyone else?

Actually...looking at the XML code a little more...you can blame Apple. The 3 iterative.com feeds have this:

HELP!!!!! iTunes is crazy!!!!

ok one day i opened my iTunes and it had deleted all my playlists....it then proceeded to "create" my library....in doing so it began to get every song that was on my computer including those songs that are other people's who share this computer...
what happend here and how can i fix it???

POSSIBLY... someone deleted your iTunes library. Upon restarting, iTunes sees no library and asks "do you want iTunes to search for music files on this computer?" Upon clicking "yes" iTunes goes out and searches the entire volume for any and all appropriate audio files.
I'm not sure how you have iTunes set up, but I would suggest clearing your library, then using the "Add Folder To Library" function in the File menu to add whatever music you want.
You will likely have to recreate all of your playlists... unless someone just moved your library file to the recycle bin?
FYI: You can back up playlists (and libraries) by "exporting" them as txt files. If someone did delete or move your iTunes library file, you may want to make "exporting" a habit.

What just happened? - iTunes gone crazy

So, this just happened: I opened iTunes and EVERYTHING was gone, all the songs, podcasts etc. I can find them from my computer but they seem to have disappeared from my iTunes. Is there any sensible explanation for this? Has my computer been hacked or could I have done it myself by accident?

Go to my documents/MyMusic/itunes/itunesMusic and see if there is anything there. if not it is a problem with XP.
If all your music is there go to edit... preferences...advanced there make sure your iTunes music location is C:\Documents and Settings\"Your computer name"\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
if not change it to that.
Still no avail File... Add folder to library... Add the above folder to library.

ITunes gone crazy!

Music won't sync with my iPhone or iPod. When i unckeck the sync music button, it checks itself again automatically and syncs old songs and not the new ones I want to add. It never happened to me before and I dont what to erase all my data from the iphone or ipod. What do I do?

Itunes going crazy

did the recent upDate and now it seems i'm getting i guess what you call drop outs when playing my tunes.
even if i scroll my library it makes my tunes go nuts, like i'm scratching like a dj with vinyl.
never did this before.......

Maybe the itunes library.itl file is corrupted.
See if rebuilding it fixes it.
Try this. Stop iTunes. Rename the itunes library.itl to itunes library.old.
Now start iTunes. Your library will be empty. Drag some of those songs over that haven't been playing correctly- are they OK now?
If that doesn't work, you can just reverse the process. Stop iTunes, delete the itl file with just the few songs in it.
Rename itunes library.old back to itunes library.itl. You'll be back where you started.

ITunes acting crazy

I installed a program called Qloud on my previous version of iTunes. I then uninstalled it and installed iTunes 7.4. iTunes started popping up, even when I wasn't opening it, and presenting me with a blank sign-in box, which I could not exit, even when I pressed the x. I had to exit every time from the Windows Task Manager. Please help, this is really annoying.

I don't know anything abould Qloud, but I gather it has an iTunes plugin so this link may help:

If Qloud uses the Windows COM interface to access iTunes, it may cause iTunes to start unexpectedly. Look for something in the Qloud options about when it starts. If it starts automacically, it may also cause iTunes to start.
I am not sure about the sign in box, is that Qloud or your iTunes account login?

Itunes went CRAZY...help!

so i'm VERY angry with itunes....after a routine restart, itunes automatically started up (like i have it set to do) except 9/10 of my music was missing and it had deleted ALL of my playlists....it told me that it was going to label my previous library as damaged and start a new one....i found the music in the itunes music folder and started to manually put it back in but about halfway through my 60 gigs of music (sigh) it froze and i had to restart the entire computer....and NOW when i open itunes it starts to do the gapless playback CRAP, and i have to quickly quit that before it freezes or i have to restart AGAIN....
after that lengthy explanation my question is:
is there anyway to get my old library with all my music and playlists back??....or if thats not possible to get itunes to stop acting up and actually enter in all the music again?

To stop the 'gapless' playback stuff - in the player window at the top of iTunes - click on the 'x' and it will stop.

Can't connect to ITunes Store

I have a G4, running 10.4.1, ITunes 8. I can no longer connect to the ITunes store. I get a non-responsive white screen with what looks like the Store web page footer visible. Itunes itself works fine.

I upgraded to iTunes 7.02 and through reading a zillion posts, which in itself makes me wonder about Apple and how they are handling this, and I think I gleaned that perhaps when Cox upgraded to the accelerated speed of connection it made iTunes go crazy...guess I'll just wait til it gets fixed but it seems this has been going on a while...I checked my Norton, I did the network diagnostics all good to go...so who knows...if you get an answer that works I'd love to know.

How I fixed my Home Sharing iTunes Issue

I had a very old version of I Tunes running on a Windows XP laptop.
I upgraded my Iphone to IOS 7 today, my Apple TV too and decided to refresh my version of ITunes on my laptop to make sure it'd all still be compatible with IOS 7. Everything stopped connecting to Home Sharing....
Here's how it wasn't fixed....
Degrading the iTunes version
Rolling back to a restore point
Repairing the installation of Itunes
Doing crazy stuff on IPV6 to my network
Here's how it was fixed....
Uninstall iTunes
Remove all traces of Apple software from your PC
RESTART
Go to Apple website and install the latest version of ITunes from scratch
DO NOT cut any of these steps out, if you do, it won't work. If you do, it will fix your problem, guaranteed!

I was having trouble seeing my Nano 2nd in iTunes and was afraid to do this step; but it works. My Nano was updated to version 1.1.1 and now everything seems to work perfectly. Keep in mind you will lose everything that is stored on your Nano when you format it.

ITunes won't stop launching

I don't know if this happens every time that Apple has a release but it seems like once they have pushed an update my iTunes goes crazy. It won't stop auto launching at will. It's doing this on all profiles and I do not have this in my auto launch application list. I also already tried to run a permission repair and this did nothing as well. The launchd is the parent service and I thought by force killing it, it might fix the problem. Needless to say that killed my session lol. I checked the permissions on the application and my files and the permissions appeared ok. Any suggestions would be helpful.
P.S. I have deleted the app before and reinstalling it but that doesn't help.

I believe I found the answer from another post. The post mentioned a Bluetooth connection problem. I looked at my Bluetooth item list and noticed that my discoverable option was on and I turned it off. I also noticed that my Bluetooth connected printer was also unavailable and think that this was the root cause.

Some thing wrong in iTune , DVD Player , or may be with my keyboard

after installing the last update of mac lion os , iTune went crazy ,
itune was starting automatically every 30 secconds , even wehn i quit iTune , it start automatically .
actully first i thought only it's iTune , but after a while i get the action by DVD player too .
first i though some body is hacking me , but after disabling any device that is connected to out side of os things happends again .
i check forums about itune and many guys ask about iTune , but no body ask about DVD player , so i think may be it's keyboard signal bugs .
i am thinking maybe the "Play button" of keyboard is hitting automatically and by that iTune or DVD player appliaction starts .
dose any body have any idea ?!

After endless hours of trying to work around the same problem you have, I found the solution. The problem has to do with the script. For some strange reason the scripts become corrupted. I found out that the problem was corrected when I made a new script and connected the buttons to the new script. Hope they at apple find time to correct this problem in the future.

Can't open/install iTunes

Ok so one day, I opened my computer and iTunes went crazy. It's not opening and when I reinstall I have the same problem. I've never experienced this with iTunes, and I've tried nearly everything online. When I try to open it, I get these messages.
I have a Windows Vista Home Premium. Someone please help me out!

Ack. A damaged file down in the system folders by the look of it.
The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, does your iTunes launch properly now?

IPod Nano 4th Gen wiped when connecting to iTunes 10.0

Hey all
Don't know if anyone else is having this issue... my iTunes went crazy just now (recently updated to version 10) when I routinely attached my iPod. Got this message saying "duplicate file" something or other, and the thing wouldn't sync. I tried to reboot it and ALL of my music had been wiped. Fun. And after restarting iTunes it still wouldn't sync (the same error message just kept coming up). Not fun.
Eventually had to restore the iPod to factory settings just to get the thing to switch on.
Is anyone else having this issue??

I am having a problem after upgrading to iTunes 10, I get a message that my iPod 'is synced with another iTunes library. An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Well....I cannot locate this other iTunes Library and know if I sync with the one that opens I will lose all my current songs.
