iTunes ask me for password for backed up file, and i never set up any password, now i can't restore my backed up files to my phone!! please help this is really annoying!!! please help.

I have the same problem with the voicemail password. I have a voicemail password, I don't need to reset it - but I want to get rid of it. Did you get a satisfactory answer?
VERY irritating to suddenly have to put in a password to hear voicemails. What is up with iPhone? I hope someone can help me.

Help me I have been trying to restore my iphone back to original settings an very time I try it asked me for a restriction code I have never set a restriction code and was just wondering if they were all the same for every iPhone please could someone help me
- Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored.

I have changed operator and also changed IOS and did a back up of my old phone in Itunes so i would keep all my contacts etc. Now when i want to get everything back in the phone, Itunes asks me for a password, which i do not have since i did not enter any password when i did the back up. Is there any way I can bypass this password request? Otherwise i have lost all my contacts etc.
Greatful for help.Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service like Gmail, iCloud, or an Exchange server.

i have just reinstalled my mac os x, in fact yesterday, i have not been able to update my software or change anything at all, i try to do a software update and it is asking me for an administrators username and password that was not happening before, i enter the username and password i created and it comes back wrong, its driving me nuts, been to keychain but unable to figure it out, its asking for a system unlock and i have no clue what that is.
am desperate.Stick the 10.6 disk into the computer and reboot holding the c or option key down, select the disk to boot from.
In the installer menu is a Utiltiies menu and a password reset.
If you don't remmember the name, reboot the computer holding the command and s keys down
a black screen with white type appears, when it's finished, dbackspace any extra ssss you have made and then type
ls /Users
(that's Larry, Sam, space, slash, Users)
and press return, a list of user names on the machine appears
type exit and reboot and use the 10.6 disk to reset your password -

I do not allow apple to access my library or my hard drive because you guys are predators, and I have NO interest in using the app store. I have disabled access to the store, so i do not know why it keeps asking me for a user name and password. You have NO right to see the music THAT I PURCHASED a loooooooooong time ago. It is my license. I should be able to play it whenever and wherever I like...and NO, I do not burn and copy my music. I just want to play it on MY MACHINES. So, I do not need your useless snooping, which is probably the reason you want me to log in. Who do you think you are? You didn't write the songs. You just sell licenses. Period. And I purchased mine, thank you. I no longer use your store for these reasons. I use Amazon.
Not control-R. Command-R. Shut the computer down. Reboot it. Hold down cmd-R when you hear the chime. Keep it held down and you should see the Lion recovery partition.

you have to restore to ios 6 and then sign in with your own apple id,
any apps etc on the iphone now, will not be able to be backed up and used in the future as they are not linked to your apple ID. and if you plan on using the previous owners ID then you need there [*** which I assume you dont have.
simply just restore using itunes then setup as new with all your details and your done, you can go to the appstore and start getting your own apps -

It's a really bad idea to post your email addresess - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
This is a user-to-user forum and no-one on here can take any direct action. If your Yahoo address is not working that's something you would need to take up with Yahoo - have you checked it by sending yourself an email to it?
Otherwise you will need to contact Support: go to https://expresslane.apple.com/ and click on 'iTunes' in the center column and then 'iTunes Store' in the right-hand column and proceed from there. -
ok i have been trying to download albums, songs, apps, etc. and my itunes keeps asking me for the security question and for the life of me i cant remember the answers. I dont know what the email is that receives the question reset. is there anything i can do to fix this or am i screwed?
If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours. You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method. But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . You may have reached your 5 computer limit.
Open iTunes > go to iTunes Store > Account (in Quick Links section on the right) > Computer Authorizations if it says 5 computers are authorized then click the Deauthorize All button
Note: Apple limits the Deauthorize All option to once every 12 months -

Do you recognise the account id e.g. has anybody else downloaded apps onto your device/computer ? All apps (and other content from the store) are tied to the account that downloaded them, so only that account can download updates to it apps. If you downloaded those apps to your device then try logging out of your account by tapping on the id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your device and then log back in and see which id then shows in the Updates tab

When I try to open an .ai/pdf file received through my email, it won't open and asks for a password. I have never set up any kind of password for email security, but have tried typing in my standard passwords. Nothing works. I wonder if it has anything to do with the use of my Wacom3 Tablet...I've been having trouble with it and was getting the same message when trying to open the User's Manual in my Applications/WacomTablet file on my hard drive. It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.
