ITunes Backup to Disc never works for me

Hi there,
For months I've been trying to use the Backup To Disc feature since iTunes 7.0 but I never can get passed the Please Insert a Blank Disc.

It rejects every DVD I put. Is there a specific brand or type of DVD-R/DVD+R I should try?

PUSH notification were delivered to some of the other iOS devices: (iPhone5 / iOS 6.1.4 and iPhone5 / iOS 7.0.3)

Sounds like you have a battry issue but don't want to believe it.
If a car was running fine on one tank of gas, then you filled it up with another tank of gas and it began to run funny, one might suspect that tank of gas. But let's just say coincidence blew a valve-- would you think the new tank of gas was the culprit?
BUT WAIT!! It just might have been! The gas could have been of higher octane and put more more strain on the valves; you know, like going from 87 octane (OS6) to 93 octane (OS7) and showing you the engine was on the edge of compromise.
Sometimes you have to go with common sense. If everything else is ruled out, it must be the battery. And if it runs fine one moment in OS6 but immediately ***** in OS7, I'd believe my battery was suspect-- though comfy-- in OS6 but the OS7 showed its true power.
Moreover, if you had the answer-- or didn't want to believe someone's more competent advice-- why did you even call? You've already shown that you don't know much when you asked if you could go backwards after setting up the new OS as a new phone.
Additonally, if you're such the know-it-all, but yourself the $29 battery and put it in yourself. It's a piece of cake.

Does iTunes in the cloud only work for purchased music?

Hi,
I was wondering, does iTunes in the Cloud only work for purchased music?
Also, does the automatic wifi sync feature not sync everything that it would if you manually iniate the wifi sync? The reason I ask is because my iPhone is often connected to my charger, and then today I decided to perform a manual wifi sync and it had a lot of content to update, definitly way more than any changes I've made since I plugged it in to the charger last night.

You can turn on Music, Apps,and Books by tapping Settings > Store
Connecting your iPhone to a wall charger should not have any effect on sycning.

- Go here and see if you can redownload the movies. If you can then delete the movie and redownlod it.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Otherwise, contact iTunes and explain your problem. They should allow a free redownload.

ITunes 12.1.2.7 works for one user profile and not another on the same PC

When using iTunes 12.1.2.27 with my user profile in Windows 7, it will run for about a minute before I get the message that iTunes has crashed and that Windows is searching for a solution. It never finds one, and the problem persists. I've tried doing a restart of the computer and uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. Nothing works.
However, my wife has a separate user profile on the same computer. The same installation of iTunes that crashes with me works as it should when she uses it with her profile. What's going on, and how do I fix it?

Apple tv 2 never works for me

I spent hours on the phone to apple support when I bought the apple tv 6 months ago and it never worked unless plugged into my modem in the office directly. It seems to be something to do with the wireless network.... however, everything else on our 4 computers works well wirelessly. We never saw one film on this device and gave up. My laptop downloads films in itunes easily.... but not on the apple tv box. I should add it does play u-tube and previews..
Is this something to do with being in Australia and having little support for our wireless protocols here ?
Anyway...
After 6 months still unused, I have just updated ( 2 updates since my last attempt to watch a film), and guess what... the apple TV does not work. I choose film and go through to the final stage where it says that it can not find my account / password ! It asks me to go to iforgot.apple etc... however, I have not forgotten my password... it just doesn't work.
Extremely frustrating as we'd really like to watch a film tonight and again are left to watch rubbish tv...
We expect something that is so simple ( just streams video) to work easily but it seems troubleshooting and alot of time investigating is required to get this little sucker to work. Have I got preferences set somewhere in Apple land that is stopping films to download?

I've had similar issues in the UK with my ATV. I am able to stream photos and music from any of the other devices around the house, via wi-fi to it, but movies have been hit and miss. We have had 3 that have stopped during playback, telling us it will be another 1 1/2 hrs before it has loaded. We have ended up trying the following:
Resetting the ATV
Restoring it to factory settings
Trying different wi-fi channels
Using Ethernet (it's about a foot away)
Downloading movies way in advance of watching them
Our wi-fi signal is full strength with an average rate of 9.8MB and I don't have issues with drop-outs or impaired performance on any other device as far as I know. I've had to resume movies by renting them again on our Virgin Media service and get refunds from the iTunes store...
It's been really frustrating, but speaking to experts in my local Apple store and finally, Applecare, it appears that I may have a rogue unit. I'm sending it back for them to check as it is still under warranty.

Why doesn't the iTunes Apple ID and password work for iCloud on the iPhone 3GS?

I even logged into this Apple Support Community using my Apple ID and password with no problem. It also works in iTunes. But it still doesn't work for iCloud on my iPhone 3GS. It keeps saying "Unsupported Apple ID - iCloud requires an Apple ID that is an email address (including @me.com addresses)" I even put my email address associated with my Apple account and I still get the same message. I also checked to make sure the OS software was up to date.
What's going on and why is this so difficult to accomplish??!!

Same problem. I enter my password correctly, and I can't get in. but I can get into Apple Support and other login pages with the same (correct) password. Arg!

Compressor never works for me

I shot my friends music video with my Canon 7D, imported it straight into FCPX- edited it- sent it to compressor- chose 1080p HD Video sharing, and it never works. The compression fails everytime. I've tried other compression settings as well.
Any help?

Plenty of bugs with this. For one thing, you never want Final Cut and Compressor competing for system resources. Both use VRAM, RAM, and CPU cycles. Quitting Final Cut ensure that compressor has all the resources to itself. The other big problem is that the hand off frequently goes really badly. By submitting a stand alone Quicktime file, you know for certain what type of file you are submitting to compressor.

My I Touch is frozen. I have rebooted it, restored it to factory settings and restored it with backup. Sometimes it works for a week or 2, sometimes not.

full restore, will wipe out the system & lock code...
resync with your data, and you should be good...

ITunes 11 'Up Next' not working for album

When I click on the small arrow and select 'Add to Up Next' for an album, nothing happens to the Up Next list. Nothing is added. When I do this for a song, it does add the song just fine. It's just not working for the album. Anyone else seeing this?

Make sure the tracks are active (check box to the left of track when looking at songs in a list). I ran into this on a number of albums that I had previously deactivated(unchecked) so they would be skipped in playlists/iTunes DJ. If they are not checked they can only be played or added individually as you are discribing.
It is also possible to re activeate multiple tracks by rt-click to pull up menu. There you can check/uncheck selected or just 'Add to Up Next" directly.

ITunes Store Never Works For Me!!!

I'll tried to go into the iTunes store for a few days now and it only shows an error 502. I get into the store but then when I try to click on something or search for something it starts to load, but takes a long time. After a few minutes it tells me there is an error 502! Please help I don't know what to do.

ITunes Backup to DVD Not Working

I'm in the middle of backing up my music library to DVD, and it keeps crashing on disc 4 of 8. I get this message: "An unknown error occurred. Would you like to retry this disc, or skip to the next disc?" I don't want to skip over 4.7GB of files, so I tried "retry."
After the first one, I thought maybe I had a bad blank disc, but I've retried twice and gotten the same message halfway through the burn. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, as I have spent a lot of time organizing my collection and really want to back it up. Thanks.

Maybe the problem is with the source files rather than the DVD's your're burning to. Have you tried checking the source disk for errors? In Windows Explorer right-click on the drive in question, click Properties, then click Tools. Under Error-checking, click *Check Now*. Under Check disk options, select *Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors*. Click Start. If your music is on the C: drive you'll need to let Windows reboot to perform the scan. A full surface scan is going to take some time however so you might want to leave it running overnight. Hopefully the scan will repair the problem file & you will be able to complete your backup.
If your backup is taking 8 DVD's you'd be much better off investing in a suitably sized external hard drive & backing up to that using SyncToy 2.0, a free tool from MS. You can use SyncToy to create backup copies of your iTunes library & any other important files. After making the initial backup copy use SyncToy to periodically synchronise the backup copy with your library and only the changed files will be copied saving lots of time.

WiFi sync NEVER works, for any of my devices

Hello, Apple Support Community!
This is a problem I have had for literally years now, and always just dealt with it. Today, however, I'm in a mood and it's especially p---ing me off.
First, the details.
My devices:
- A PC desktop computer (HP Omni 200), running 64 bit Windows 7
- iPhone 4S running iOS 7.1.1
- iPad 2 also running iOS 7.1.1
I update iTunes regularly, and it's currently version 11.2.2
All devices are on the same network (the -only- network available to me in my home).
I have both my phone and my iPad checked to sync over wifi. On the rare occasion, when I start up iTunes on my computer, they will show up under "devices" and stay there. 90% of the time, however, either they'll show up for a moment, like they're loading, and then disappear, or won't show up at all. I've tried restarting iTunes a bunch of times. I've tried running iTunes as an administrator (which will sometimes work if I am verrry lucky). I've restarted my computer, and each device. I've tried turning WiFi off and on again on the devices, which leads to them showing up briefly in iTunes, again with the loading circle, before disappearing yet again. I've tried having the devices connected to power. NOTHING seems to be a permanent fix. This is something I've struggled with for years, and keep hoping that the next iTunes update will solve the problem, but nope. I have grown to hate iTunes with a burning passion, but I have such an extensive music library there, and with my other "iDevices", I've kept around for the sake of simplicity. It's not that I really mind plugging them in via USB to sync, but there are other features (such as the iTunes Remote app) that rely on the device being connected over WiFi.
This seems like such a ridiculous issue, and I am baffled as to why it has persisted for so long (and for so many people). Stop updating the "look" of iTunes and actually fix the stupid thing! If anyone has any permanent solutions outside of throwing my electronics out the window, I would appreciate your help!

Okay, nevermind the sync for now. I did know it has to be connected to power, but that is irrelevant since my devices won't appear in iTunes at all.
I am pretty sure the issue is with iTunes, as the it persists no matter what network I am on. I just moved recently, and now have internet with an entirely different provider and still no luck. Today I changed my network name and password, reconnected my computer, phone, and iPad all to the same network, no change. I also tried ending the "AppleMobileDeviceHelper" process in Windows Task Manager repeatedly, a solution I saw in a thread for the same issue - still nope. I have Norton Internet Security and manage all firewall setting through there. iTunes and all related incoming and outgoing connections are allowed, so it's not my firewall either. I am at a sincere loss with this.
