ITunes Constantly Turns Shuffle Back On

Since upgrading to iTunes 9, shuffle continuously turns itself on. If I turn it off again and play a song, it will reset once that song finishes. How can I fix this?

I have this problem as well. Repaired Itunes, removed itunes (all files, registry stuff etc.) reinstalled... Same problem.. It has made itunes unusable. Also linked to this when i sync my Ipod it syncs half my music collection every time (exactly half).. Tried restoring my ipod, no luck.
Any ideas ??

Not true at all.
It does not matter where the songs came from, they are not yours and the previous owner does not own the right to distribute them to others.
The law is the same with downloads and cds and any other medium.

That is referred to recovery mode. At this point your only option is to restore to factory & then from a backup if you have one

Put your phone in DFU mode (search Google for instructions) and restore as NEW device. If that doesn't work, you've no choice but to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.
If your phone has been jailbroken, this problem can occur. In this case, Apple won't even touch the phone and you'll have to buy a new one.

Go to settings and click in iTunes and apps then click on iTunes Match it should tell you that you will need to switch press yes this should take you back to your original setting

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

So when you plug it into your computer, you're not getting a message in iTunes that it has discovered a phone in recovery mode?
Reboot both the computer and the phone and try again.

TS1741 Does anyone have trouble with the Remote app losing contact with the iTunes library after it has been connected and working fine for a while. If I go to the computer and turn off sharing, then turn it back on, it will relocate the library again.

I have just found the problem to be windows firewall on my library PC
I can only presume there has been an update to windows firewall or iTunes
all the relevant programs were on the allowed list
I'm now currently running with firewall turned off on my library PC.

Your iPod has dropped into Recovery mode. You'll need to restore it via iTunes on your computer.
