  • ITunes gives error code -54 when sync with my iphone 5

iTunes gives error code (-54) when i try to sync with my iphone5

I am having the same issue. Since updating to iTunes 11 my iPhone 5 will no longer wirelessly sync. I am operating the latest version of Mountain Lion on a two month old Macbook Pro. When I plug in the USB I go through the steps of making sure the box is clicked to Wireslly sync, but after a few minutes of un-plugging the cord my phone dissapears from my devices. It tries to locate it, but cannot.
Furthermore, when I launched iTunes 11 for the first time my phone was synced, but since I accidenttly hit the eject button in the top right, this button has yet to come back. Even when the iPhone is linked via USB. Am I Crazy, stupid, or is this a bug?
BTW, how did MrTrav15 have this problem on 10/17 a month-and-a-half before the launching of iTunes 11?

  • Error message -54 when syncing

error message -54 when trying ti sync

There is no documentation on this crazy error code.  But, I think I figured this out.  I down loaded the latest version of desktop software to my desktop - running Aug 25, 2010 bundle 47.  I am running 64 bit Windows 7, new PC.  I received the error 0x83860028.  I went into "Organizer" and clicked on the "Reset Settings" button.  I then reconfigured the settings to sync e-mail and calendar only.
I then re-ran the sync and it worked.  I am no techie but found this with luck.  Good luck.

  • HT1386 error message 1140 when syncing new iphone 5

Everytime I sync my iphone to my computer I receive error message 1140  which says my iphone cannot be synced

On iTunes un-select sync photos and then apply.  Next click on sync.  That should allow a sync to occur.  Now go back and try to do a sync with photos selected.  Appy first then Sync.

I ran the diagnostic and it kept saying under Port, it does'nt not find Iphone. Tried EVERYTHING! From uninstalling, youtube, google, DFU and downloading some of the so called help links and files. It also keep saying my phone is in restored mode and on the phone it shows a usb plug pointing to itunes and a cd. Trying to fix problem from home and not be charge a fee just to talk to Apple representative. Please help !!!

Apple does not support downgrading, so that is probably why you are getting error 3194. As you have to hack the phone to downgrade all bets are off now. As some of the help links and files direct you to jailbreak your phone if you followed any of those you now have bigger problems.

  • Error message -5000 when syncing

I didn't have any problems syncing my iPod touch before I downloaded IOS5.  Now when I try to sync, my music library gets halted partway through the sync and I get an error message that says "unknown error -5000".  I can see all of my music on the iPod but it's pale gray and unaccessible.  Has anybody else had this issue before?

  • ITunes Store error message -9813 when attemping sign-in

When I try to sign in, I get an error message that says to check my internet connection and try again. It also gives me error message -9813.

Since thousands are able to connect to the store, this is most likely an issue with your computer, network or ISP. Make sure you don't have any Norton or McGaffe type software (Firewall / Anti-Virus) running that is blocking the ports needed for iTunes. Even though you have been able to connect in the past, any updates to those programs or iTunes (or something your ISP changed without telling you) can mass with the iTunes connection - even if you can still connect to the internet.

  • Error Messages received when syncing rentals

I get the error message from ITunes when I transfer the rental to my Itouch:  the rental could not be transferred to the IPOD because an unknown error occured (-3259).  It does show up on my device however when I hit the play button, the message I receive is either I don't have permission to access the resource or cannot open.

Selecting all photos and then starting to drag and drop but dropping back into place created a pop-up alert for each file which was causing the problem.  Fortunately, I did not need these files, so I was able to delete them and the problem appears to be corrected.

  • Error message -39 when syncing?

    Hey,
I've recently moved my iPhone back to my MacBook Pro after having it fixed and everything was fine until I added some photos from iPhoto. I have been getting the message 'error -39'.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Imogen

    Hello there, altecjohn.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up information on your exact error message. It's found in the section entitled: "Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows)":

This can be caused by outdated iTunes software or web accelerators.
To resolve, download the latest version of iTunes for Windows at apple.com/itunes/download/
If already on the latest version, look at disabling or uninstalling any web accelerator software and restarting.

  • Receive error message 0x80040fb3 when syncing Outlook to 8830

I have been trying to update my address book on my device for a week and every time I try to sync, using the desktop manager, I get to a certain number of contacts and an error message shows up - 0x80040fb3. I've looked it up and it says information may be missing in the First, Last Name fields or Company. I have been through my Outlook contacts at least a dozen times, renamed people, double checked that all of the fields are filled in yet I still cannot synch. Is there something I am missing? Is there another way to get my contacts on to my device?

  • IPad 1 gives error message -54 when sync music  it won't sync songs

It gives error -54 when sync music

Try a system reset.  It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

  • Error Message 0x83860028 when syncing

I recently installed the latest update to the desktop software for my Curve 8330.  Now, everytime I sync, I get error message 0x83860028.  The process hangs up slightly and then continues.  However, I find that the calendar is not syncing at all.  This has been happening since Sept. 17.  I am not sure if it is a bad bit of  data that hangs it up or a software issue.  I cannot seem to find this error message anywhere. This is a shared calendar in Outlook 2007.  My OS on the computer is Vista.  I was able to sync up until that point. Any fixes or help??

  • ITunes displaying error message when trying to copy songs to iPod

I've been having intermittent problems with my iTunes/iPod setup since about the time I got an iPhone 3G. The problems were with syncing or not mounting correctly.
I'm still having the mounting issues but I'm no longer able to sync my contacts at all (I don't sync anything else). I manually add/remove tracks from the iPod, but can also no longer do this.
I have also tried resetting the iPod and restoring through iTunes. With the restore option I receive the same 'insufficient privileges' warning and it will not restore.
I have also recently upgraded to 10.5.7 (and repaired permissions before and after).
I'm fairly sure it's the iTunes setup on my current machine as when I use the iPod on my iMac I can easily add/remove items.
I'm tempting to use the restore function from the iMac but am skeptical it will work because the only thing new introduced to the MacBook is the iPhone. The iPhone syncs bookmarks, contacts, some photos, applications and that's it.
Anyone have some theories? I've read some places about the iPhoto cache being a problem but I deleted it and I'm still having the above issues. Boo.
    Thanks.

Try this. When the stick is mounted on your desktop, right click "Get Info" and at the bottom choose "ignore ownership on this drive." See if that works.
