Nobody from Apple answers any questions here other than those that go longer than 24 hours without a response and all that those Apple people do is to direct users to kb articles that might help in given situations. It pretty much ends there. So don't expect "Apple" to hear your pleas.
if you want help from Apple, make an appointment at an Apple store and see if they can diagnose the problem for you. The only other thing that I could suggest is to connect your iPad to another computer running iTunes. If iTunes sees the iPad, then the issue is on your computer somewhere. If you try this, you want to turn off auto sync on the other computer. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically.

My phone is not showing up in itunes. I want to sync it. I have a MAC and I have restarted the phone, it's charged, I have the most current version of itunes. What do I do now? It says to reinstall itunes if you have windows but not for mac. Help!
With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

I have installed CS5 on a macbook pro 10.9.4. I am unable to get the updater to run to update applications to most current version. It tells me there was an error trying to download the update and to try again later.
Getting used to changes in the finder. I finally did see the Adobe Patch installer and am able to update applications individually. Should be able to attend to the main apps I use w/o further difficulty. Thnx for the help.

I am at the most current version of itunes, but when i try to burn a cd i get an error stating disc burner or software not found - any help?

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:

Mail on my iPad verifies my MobileMe email when I enter it in Add Account, but then says we have an invalid ID or password when you launch the Mail App. I have validated that both are entered correctly. Any ideas?
You are not the only one. I got the same message on my iphone within the last hour. However... I just got an email from another support discussion, so maybe it is working again.

my iphone 4s is not showing up in my itunes. I have tried to update itunes but it is telling me that it is the newest version. Have also tried to update my mac, which is also telling me it is the latest version (no updates) but i dont think it is.

I have a new Macbook Pro 2.66 / 8 GB, 15" and an iPad and an iPhone. The problem is that every now and then - about once a day or so, iTunes doesn't see the iPad or iPhone when they are plugged in. The device starts charging but there is no indication that a sync is occuring.
Following the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747 I reinstall iTunes and replace the AppleMobileDevice kexts and then things are fine, but after another day or so the problem occurs again. I have not been able to determine what might be causing that. Any idea?This totally does not address the problem. I have had my iPad for only a few days and I'm about to return it. I've been able to sync it once, after installing a new OS, then uninstalling iTunes... and then it just grabbed everything/apps from my iPod, most of which I would not have put on the new machine. Now I want to sync the apps I've purchased on the iPad and some music/movies and the computer doesn't "see" the iPad at all.
Users should not have to wipe/restore the machine. If Apple insists on using iTunes as a portal for all things iPad, then iTunes needs a serious overhaul. It's a music tool now being used to hobble a much more dynamic machine.
Anyhow - I like the iPad, but Apple isn't really letting me use it if I have to sync via iTunes, but iTunes isn't a functional tool.
Thanks - please give me an option other than reinstalling iTunes many times a doy or returning my iPad. -

I just installed OS 10.8.2 and have the most recent version of iTunes on a two year old iMac. I'm running iOS 6 on my 4s. I'm running 5.1.1 on my third gen iPad. I've restarted everything a couple times, but iTunes won't recognize the iPhone or iPad. iPhoto does see and will transfer photos off the iPhone. The phone charges and no further software updates are available. I've gone through Apples Troubleshooting Assistant. Any ideas?
