Itunes error 45054

HOw do I fix this error?

I, too, have this problem. I cannot update apps or purchase anything from the iTunes store. Very frustrating. It appears this question has been asked over and over with no response from Apple. There appears to be a solution for Mac, but not for Windows. Any ideas?

Downloaded latest itune 11.1 or something, now theres an error 45054 saying I haven't got access privaleges and then a second box comes up with an error 45054. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Support Communities!
The first thing I would suggest to open the Applications folder on your Mac. In the Utilities folder you will see the Disk Utility application. Follow the instructions below to Repair Permissions on your internal hard drive.

Restart your computer and see if that resolves your issue. If not, you may need to drag the iTunes application to the trash and redownload it from our website:

ITunes closed with error (-45054)

After a recent upgrade, my iTunes crashed after opening with the error "Unknown Error as occured (-45054)" I have unistalled and re-installed it but still now help!
Any ideas?

The iTunes error is because doesn't exist a shared folder inside the /Users folder
You can fix this creating a shared folder and assign correct permissions
In order to create the shared folder do the following
Open Terminal and write
sudo mkdir -p /Users/Shared/
This command creates Shared folder inside Users folder
Now you have yo assign permissions
If you are running 10.5.8 or before write: sudo chmod 777 /Users/Shared/
If you are running 10.5.6 and after write: sudo chmod 1777 /Users/Shared/
Thats all. Close Terminal. Open iTunes and voilá

ITunes unknown error (-45054)

I just upgraded to iTunes 11.1.4 on my iMac and now I receive this error message. When I click on OK iTunes closes so I can't interact with it at all. Any ideas?

After installin 10.9 i checked applications and noticed that Itunes gives the "Unknown Error -45054" I click ok the the applications closes. Also Itunes is running 11.1.2, any one else having issues since loading new OS? Needing a little assistance if possible.

A fellow musican I know had an identical issue with this and asked me to check it out. I fixed it and wrote a long set of instructions on my blog. His problem was with 10.6 but it was an update he did preparing to move to Mavericks.
I was able to reproduce the error by just removing the /Shared folder from /Users

Error 45054 iTunes

I'm using iTunes 12.0.1 on OS X 10.10. Trying to purchase a song and every time it says error 45054. I've restarted my Macbook, I've shut down iTunes, and i've tried every little thing that has been suggested on here, but the suggestions were working for those running on older systems. This is very frustrating and there seems to not be any help anywhere else. Please Help!

What does iTunes error code (-45054) mean? iTunes quits itself when you click on "OK"

iTunes error code (-45054) comes up when trying to download a M4b file to our computer to synch with an Ipad. We get this error code when we try to open this audiofile in iTunes and when we click on the OK button on the error code box, iTunes quits itself. Won't open without the error box showing: "An unknown error occurred (-45054)" and quits itself when you click on OK to close the error message box. Uninstall? How? Any ideas or suggestions?

ITunes download error -45054

Hi there
I find myself today to no longer be able to download items from iTunes in the cloud - movie purchases in my library. I try to download but it fails each time with the status of the download showing as ....
stopped (err = -45054)
The computer is authorised and has been working fine from since I got it with iTunes and streaming the movies I purchased as well as downloading.
I have searched for the error number mentioned but have located nothing - does anyone have any ideas how I can this fixed?
