ITunes (for Windows) doesn't recognize iPad 2

I have Windows 8 with iTunes 11.3.0 but it doesn't recognize my iPad 2 (with iOS 7.1.2). But it does recognize my iPhone 5s with the same iOS 7.1.2.
I have tried with three different cables, the last one was a new one, but it never recognized my iPad.
Can someone help me?

the best thing i think you could do is go to an apple store or uninstall itunes and reinstall it one more time and see what happens

ITunes for PC won't recognize iPad

Running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. No version of iTunes (version 10, 11, or even the one just released) will recognize iPad1. AMDS service says Starting but never completes. Get an AMDS AppCrash message on Fault Module Name rpcrt4.dll. It used to work on an early version of iTunes, but something has changed on the computer or the Apple software.
Does anyone know what to look for to resolve this issue?
Device Manager shows both Apple Pad and Apple Mobile Device USB Driver under Portable Devices.
Just in case a registry cleaner program deleted a needed entry, does anyone know if there are any specific Registry entries that must be present for AMDS service to start completely? How about required services? AMDS service is the only service that won't work. There are no other problems with the PC.

Windows doesn't recognize iPad

When I plug my usb cable into my computer it doesn't recongnize my iPad. It says it's an unknown device... Anyone know how to fix it?

I upgraded to iTunes for windows on my Windows 8.1 64 bit laptop. I have not done any iTunes manipulations for many months. I just purchased a new song. I now have IOS 8.1.3 on my iPad Mini and I tried to move the new song from my library from my purchased file to a playlist. I can no longer click and drag the song from anything to the playlist. In addition, when I sync my iPad to my laptop none of my music from the iPad shows up in iTunes on the computer. Why does Apple continuously mess around with the simple actions of the program. It is very disheartening to be treated like this as a long time customer. Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

The main issue might be having too little RAM. Most computers run newer systems more smoothly with more RAM than Apple says is a "minimum" for running that system version
After installing 10.6.3 run the updater to 10.6.8, then upgrade iTunes.

The new system should install on top of the old one. That said, things have been known to go wrong and it makes sense to do a backup before installing the new system. In fact you seem to care about your files and things so you need to always have a backup because one day you will wake up and you hard drive will be dead and everrything on it gone. Buy an external hard drive and start using Time Machine or something to back up. The other risk is when you install the new iTunes. It doesn't happen frequently given the millions of users but there are daily posts here from people who for some reason the installation wiped out their whole library. If you have a backup then there's nothing to worry about.
This is well within what many people can do at home. It's a matter of inserting an optical disc and clicking you way through menus.

If moisture got inside, it may have shorted the iPad's electronics.

When you upgraded, itunes should have put a copy of the itunes library database in a folder named *Previous iTunes Libraries* . If you upgraded itunes today it will show as
iTunes Library 2010-02-28.itl

Since I am not sure of your setup, look for the "Previous" folder on both your C: and F: drives.

ITunes for Windows 8 does not see iPhone and iPad

In my HP Envy notebook, iTunes (last version) does not connect to iPhone and iPad. Note that the PC connects to both. Only iTunes does not. I think this version of iTunes for windows does not use the correct USB driver.

TS3642 It is really unacceptable that I cannot transfer my garageband format songs from iPad to iTunes for windows and then add them to my new iPad. Any ideas?

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3642 tells me that this is not possible because garageband format songs are saved as folders.
I just want to transfer songs from one iPad to another. Why does Apple make things so hard?

Perhaps turingtest2's fix works for you to transfer your project to iTunes for Windows, see:

But if you want to transfer between two iPads, you could use iCloud to transfer directly between the devices, if the iPads support iCloud and you are using the same Apple ID on both iPads.
If you save the project (or better a duplicate of the project) to iCloud, you will be able to import it on the second iPad from the cloud.

Video Podcasts Not Syncing From my iPad Mini to iTunes for Windows

Hello all. I have the iPad Mini, and recently have been downloading my Podcasts there.
It occurred to me that in case something happens to my iPad, I should have my Podcasts backed up to my computer. So, i downloaded iTunes for Windows on my computer. I plugged my iPad Mini into my computer and synced it, so that my Podcasts would sync from my iPad Mini to my iTunes Library.
I noticed that all of my podcasts did sync, except for the 3 video podcasts I have. None of the video podcasts synced.
Anyone know how I can get my video podcasts to sync from my iPad Mini to my iTunes Library?
