I am having the same issue. Since updating to iTunes 11 my iPhone 5 will no longer wirelessly sync. I am operating the latest version of Mountain Lion on a two month old Macbook Pro. When I plug in the USB I go through the steps of making sure the box is clicked to Wireslly sync, but after a few minutes of un-plugging the cord my phone dissapears from my devices. It tries to locate it, but cannot.
Furthermore, when I launched iTunes 11 for the first time my phone was synced, but since I accidenttly hit the eject button in the top right, this button has yet to come back. Even when the iPhone is linked via USB. Am I Crazy, stupid, or is this a bug?
BTW, how did MrTrav15 have this problem on 10/17 a month-and-a-half before the launching of iTunes 11?

Well I spoke too soon.
The update was successful, but now I cannot connect to the 3GS data network.
Cannot get email and cannot open a page in Safari.

Email and internet work fine on WiFi.........no data using 3GS network.
Looks like I will have to revert back to old OS.

Iphone 4 is stuck in recovery mode and gives error code 2001 when trying to restore from itunes...any help?

Just downloaded the new software from itunes today for my iphone 4. While talking on the phone while plugged into macbook (charging) my call was dropped and then my phone turned off. Itunes now says it found my phone and it was in recovery mode and I need to restore it. Are you using a Mac or PC? The step about ports, it not really relative to your issue (error 2001)
Apple wrote (in TS1275)
(2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, and so on) If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. Learn how to reset the SMC. If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue continues, it may be related to conflicting security software.
So I would try an SMC reset if you are on a Mac. But mainly, try a different USB cable if you have one.

I'm getting error code 1437 when syncing new ipod with my computer

I've just got my new ipod and when I try to sync it to my computer to copy music I get error code 1437. I'm not very tch savvy so anyone out there please explain in English and not tech speak.

1. Press PrintScreen (PrScrn) to capture a screenshot.
2. From Start, enter MSPAINT in the Search box, and then click "OK".
3. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot to the paint.
4. From the File menu, click Print to print it.

Error code -20 when syncing ipod Touch 8gb 3rd gen to windows xp

When i attempt to sync my ipod at any given time, I am told that iTunes can't write to the device, and I am then given an error code of -20. I use a Windows xp system. Can someone please help me with this?

Try a system reset. It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

They should not be, they should be synced to the computer.
Before syncing , click File>Transfer Purchases if you want to be sure.

Error Code 120 when dealing with locked files

Here's a weird one.
I've been moving some files around from drive to drive, and have a small pocket of resistance in the form of three folders, all containing locked files.
If I "Get Info" on any given file, I'm told that a) the file is locked, which is greyed out, and b) that "You have No Access" under Permissions. Attempting to change the Owner returns the following error message:
*The operation could not be completed.*
An unexpected error occurred (error code 120).
Any ideas? I can't copy the files to their future home, nor can I delete `em. I've Repaired this disk (no errors found) and Repaired Permissions as well, all to no avail.
Any insight would be appreciated!

The error code you are getting doesn't quite make sense. According to Mac Error codes, 120 means "The version of the "Mac OS ROM" file is too old to be used with the installed version of system software"--which doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything you are doing.

Error Code -54 when syncing

I recently imported a few CD's and now I get Error Code 54. Any ideas on how to isolate the corrupted file? Some of the CD's were burned files and some were original CD's. Don't know what to do next. Thanks,

Open the Script Editor in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and run the following:

This issue is often due to a locked item in the iTunes library, which can be unlocked by running the script. If you've moved the iTunes music folder, adjust the second line as needed.

As given iTunes is not currently supported on Windows 8, however this is the approach that I would recommend when the time comes.
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old operating system.
Install new operating system.
Restore the backup to your new system using the same tool used to back it up.
Install iTunes.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
This should give the new system a complete clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.
