ITunes keeps old artist names that are incorrect, even after remaking the database

I have a huge classical music collection. Using iTunes is a frustrating experience since the tags are quite useless. No one wants to search for
this conductor with that orchestra
as the artist. You want the composer!
And then, in multiwork sets, iTunes tags a CD as
Beethoven symphonies - Vol. 2
rather than
Beethoven: Symphonies Nos. 3, 4
And, for example, I am reripping Dvorak's works. As I type in the Artist (composer), the first choice is
Dvorak, Anton
Then it lists the correct
Dvorak, Antonin
Where is it getting the incorrect name from?
I once had Anton by accident, but I retagged all my files to make this correct. Now iTunes does not list Dvorak, Anton as an Artist, but it is still there when I retag.
I deleted the .xml and .itl files in my music folder, and remade the database from scratch. They are still there.
How do I fix this?

    I am also having a similar problem. I have at least 100 songs I deleted from my itunes library and from my iphone that keep showing back up on my iphone. I have manually deleted them repeatedly from my iphone and yet they continue to show back up on the phone. They are not listed in my library so I have no idea where they are coming back from as they are not in the cloud either. I have also emptied the trash on my Macbook, so they cannot be coming from there either I would love for this to stop, as I keep getting a statement that my iphone is full, but if these 100 songs would stay off of my phone that woulld not be the case.

    I have a CD that i purchased of a south african Band that i ripped in the Itunes and i know that South Africa doesnt have a music store coz i checked however the Album does exist in the Portugese store...
    Will this upgrade my rip or will they still have all the limitations that you can only Match this song with an account that has access to that country as i had to purchase these CD's Physically as i was unable to purchase it in the US on itunes.

    The tracks in your iTunes library will be matched against the store in which you have an account. You don't explicitly say which store that is so for the sake of argument let's say it is the U.S. store (since iTunes Match is currently only available in the U.S. anyway).
    During the initial scan of your library if the album by the South African band is available in the U.S. store, then it will be matched. If it is not available in the U.S. store then the files will be uploaded. ITunes Match does not scan other countries stores for matches. This will apply to all the music in your iTunes library.

    Whenever I sync my iPhone 5S, the iTunes will ask me to authorise my computer, iMac.  So I will go the 'Store' on menu bar to click it. and scroll down to Authorise my computer and click it. And It will say - your authorisation is successful. After that I go and sync my iPhone, and a window will popped out and said I need to authorise my computer again.  Can someone help me to resolve this issue.  Thanks

    I have forwarded these questions about the version of Exchange server that is being used and whether Microsoft host the mai themselves to the IT Dept but I will not get a reply from them until tomorrow.
    In the meantime I have also tried:
    Deleting and re-creating the account AGAIN!
    And re-setting the phone (recommended as a solution to a similar problem with an iPad in another forum.
    But please remember that:
    The phone would not connect for 2 months after I bought it
    Then started working unexpectedly in December
    Then stopped working again when IOS 6.1.2. was installed
    Also why am I the only person affected by this when colleagues with iPhone 3s and 4s who use the same mail system are not (I am still trying to find one with an iPhone V to see if their's works).
    Like I said I think that there must be a fault, either with my own phone or with iPhone Vs in general.

    You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud.  Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
    You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
    If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.

    Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
    Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

    I have a similar problem.  The default answer on the web is to open Videos on your iPad, then touch and hold the movie you wish to delete, then tap the little cross that appears. Alternatively, you can connect to iTunes, select your device in the list, scroll down to the Rentals summary and delete from there.
    I have a problem with both of these solutions!  The Video App on my iPad does not contain any video icons, just an option to browse my shared library, so I can't delete it from there... ANd in iTunes, the movie in the Rntals tab on my device summary is greyed out, so I can't do anything from there either.  But the movie is taking up 2.5 Gb....
    Can someone please offer an alternative to resetting the device entirely?!

    If the phone was NOT unlocked, it can't work or be activated with any other carrier than AT&T.  It CAN'T be used with Tigo or Movistar.
