ITunes keeps prompting me to reenter the security code for my credit card each time I make a purchase, saying my Windows 7 PC is a new device. However, the PC is on iTune's list of authorized devices for downloads. What's causing this? I do block cookies etc on browsers.
I don't know. No, it doesn't use your browser. Perhaps you should call and find out what the problem is.

If all your creditcard details are correct, you should be able to login and make purchases.
Please note however, that the security code (CVC code) can be asked by apple on several occassions (f.e. when you're using a device for the first time) to confirm you're the credit card owner.

Have you tried checking your payment information details to make sure the CVV (security) code is correct (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918)?

After making update on ios 6, there was a problem in updating applications and in purchasing new applications. The issue is in billing information, the security code of my credit card. How do i set a new security code for my credit card? My daughter is going over her set limit & i need to change the code again. I paid 19.99 last time to get her old i pod setup that is no longer working. Do i have to pay apple support again or is there some steps i can go through to set a new security code?

Yes, it happens to me all the time. I deleted an app because it froze the. Tried to redownloading it but it wouldn't let me ivd tried all of my cards and nothing works. I thought it was because I had a negative balance but I have a to of money all accounts. It'd be very helpful if someone could help us out.

Open the iTunes app on your computer and sign into your account to see that everything is correct.

Why would you get help from Apple? You need to contact your credit card company and find out why the security code is invalid.

Whenever I log into the iTunes store on my Windows PC I am asked to enter my credit card security code, this is annoying but now all of my devices ask for the same information. The trigger seems to be access from another device. Should I deathorize all accounts and then reauthorize them?
Make an appointment at the genius bar.

I got a new iphone 4 3 days ago. YAY! Got it all set up, downloaded some apps etc, and it kept crashing.
I took it back into the store and they replaced it. Today however, I tried to download some apps, and it keeps prompting me to log into my apple id. When I do, I enter my password etc... then I get to the part for payment, and using the same credit card I used for the first phone i input the exact info that worked for the first phone. It keeps telling me "SECURITY CODE IS INVALID" but I KNOW I am entering this number correctly.
Are you only allowed to use a credit card once? Has my second phone crashed? What gives?

Click: Edit Payment Information
Make sure you have the correct Security Code.
Then click: Done

Basically when I try updating an app it says to login. Ok say once I log in it makes me update billing info. When I put my cc info in (which has a 0$ balance) it says invalid security code. This is complete ********, I can't even download FREE apps OR update the ones I have. Im considering going back to android. This is ridiculous.
you cannot place a card on the account that has no balance to it...
you can hit the "None" option if you owe nothing to the itunes store
