ITunes Library: unknown error 13005

iTunes Library cannot be stored: unknown error 13005.
I'm using iTunes V 11.1.3.8 and WIN 8 latest Version and Updates. iTunes Library and Media files are stored on a QNAP NAS storage.
Error occurs when deleting no longer exisiting files on storage but contained in iTunes library.
What has to be done?

FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT.....
DELETE THE BELOW FILES and EMPTY TRASH
iTunes Library Genius.itdb
iTunes Library Extras.itdb
THEN LAUNCH iTUNES.

  • ITunes Library unknown error (-54)

Trying to synchronize my iPhone 5s on my McBook Pro where I installed the latest update of Mavericks
I've got this error message "The iTunes Library file could not be saved. Un unknown error occurred (-54)"
    What should I do ?

Thanks for the tip Limnos, that is now done.
I had made the Maverick upgrade a few hours ago and wanted to update my iPhone to iOS8, first saving it to the MacBook Pro.
iTunes opened automatically when I plugged the iPhone through the USB cable, then the problem appeared during the synchronization
As I didn't had the problem before I thought the new Maverick release was the culprit.
I simply closed iTunes and reopened it and the problem was solved.
Why this problem? really don't know but the simplest solution worked out well

  • Updating a new iPod with existing iTunes library - Unknown Error (-69)

Just unwrapped my shiny new iPod and connected it to my laptop and part way through the update an unknown error occurred and the update stopped as it was unable to update disk. Error (-69).
Anyone know how I can sort this out or shall I take the iPod back?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

If you're getting that one on iTunes 7.3.0.54, try an upgrade to iTunes 7.3.1.3. (Note that Michael, who replied to you earlier in the thread, is reporting that here: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=4923385#4923385 )

  • Unknown error 13005

Yup, I'm another one - tried to download 8, and now get this maddening 'unknown error 13005' message every time, and iTunes won't open. I've run the 'repair' programme twice, uninstalled and installed iTunes - what twit at Apple put this upgrapde out there without debugging it properly first?
I'm no computer whizz - I want a simple solution, preferably supplied by Apple - failing that, anyone else out there cracked this problem?

    Hey collissharvey,
If you haven't already try updating to iTunes 8.0.1.

You also might want to try and re-create the iTunes library as described here:

cannot connect to iTunes store unknown error(0x80090318)

This solved my problem; maybe it would fix yours too: Uninstall iTunes 11 and all the applications that were installed with it. Afterwards, install iTunes 10 instead.
Make sure to delete the library folder created by iTunes 11 in C:\Users\[username]\My Music\iTunes before launching the older versions of iTunes. Otherwise you would receive an error indicating that the programme cannot start.
