ITunes Match songs not available on iTunes startup

I am having a problem with iTunes and iTunes Match. When I startup iTunes on a computer that only has the iTunes Match library, all of the songs that are in the cloud are unavailable for me. They are all greyed out (see image below).
I did find a workaround where I turn off Itunes Match and then re-enable it. But that is annoying.
Anyone have any advice?
No, my issue is that all songs are greyed out once I restart iTunes, whether I closed it by mistake or restarted this never fails. I can deactivate iTunes Match and reactivate but that doesn't always work. When matching IS working all the icons are normal and all files are either matched or uploaded.
The cloud icon by the Music library ends up with diagonal repeating lines moving from left to right indicating a continuous loading. I have let the app sit there "loading" for 2 days thinking maybe something is just congested on Apple's end.
Considering what I've read on the forums as well as the fact the it works FINE on the Mac leads me to believe that Apple screwed up the PC end when updating to the most recent revision.

Library Issue: I just imported 2 CD's into ITunes. They show up in "Recently Added" and on my other devices via ITunes Match, but NOT in the ITunes software on the computer where I added them. They show up in the search box, but when I click on the results it just kicks me to ALL my music. I have imported thousands of songs/CD's before and this is a new one.
Something may have gone wrong with the index of the Music playlist. Making another change to the library such as downloading the current iTunes Free Single of the Week, or deleting one track from your library and reimporting it, should fix the problem.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and delete the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder, then start iTunes again. It should run a consistency check when it starts up which ought to correct things.

Itunes purchased songs not available on my PC.
I purchased some music from Itunes and downloaded it to my comp.....the album and songs show in my itunes library, but it won't play them and gives me the message the"original file can't be found". It also does not show the icloud icon beside the songs. When I go to my purchases in itunes it does not give the option to re down load the songs. The crazy thing is that the songs are on my iphone. Help please! How do I get the songs back on my PC?
Delete them from the iTunes library on your computer and redownload them by opening the iTunes Store > Purchased (in the Quick Links section on the right) > sign in > Music

Most of Europe has it. Why not here?
All we here can say is "because it isn't", but it's a safe bet that the companies involved with the applicable content rights in Sweden haven't yet licensed Apple to allow iTunes Match there.

Unfortunately, I don't know when I can get the computer fixed, but I want to be able to listen to certain music without having to stream it from the app (long plane rides in the next week). Is there any way to download them directly to the iPod without using a computer at all?

I copied mp3 files from a usb stick and they appear in finder in my itunes media/music folder and on my iphone and ipad with itunes match but not in the itunes library?
Not working. And it didn't used to be a problem. iTunes can find the songs with Search Library, but doesn't show in any index (by song, artist or album). Finding with Search Library offers to play or add to Up Next, but neither actually does anything. Using File-Add to Library does nothing as well. The only way I can get the new files to play is to find in Finder and Open with iTunes.
I suspect Apple is trying to drive me to buy from iTunes store. Not gonna happen. If they don't fix this, I'll find another player.

I have updated my Laptop, iPhone 5 and iPadto the new ios 7, however since this was installed on all these devices, when i Purchase mucic on my laptop and create a playlist, the Itunes match is not showing the new music purchases or new playlists on my iphone and ipad- can someone help me out with this?
I can see a extremely slow download of one at a time of the remaining songs. Very disappointed in iTunes, should not take 24 hours to retrieve songs!!!

Is there a way to not show iTunes Match songs?
Hy, I'm thinking of purchasing iTunes Match to make it a bit easier to share our different libraries. I have read the issues about about multiple apple ID's etc. My main issue however is that I take great care to have an organised Library with correct metadata (names, album art, etc). My family however does not and apart from when I want to download a certain song from them I really don't want to have their whole "messed up" library to show up. Is there a way to do that? I'm okay with activating and deactivating it but I've also read that some people had some problems with that and had to wait 90 days before they could reactivate the account.
So to recapitulate what would you suggest to share music without having other peoples library's messing mine up?
P.S. I use Homesharing when I can but I'm a student so I'm not always home and my father works abroad and it would be nice to have all time access to everybody's music.iTunes Match is associated with one Apple ID and regional iTunes Store. There is no sharing of the service across Apple IDs. So if you purchase the service for one Apple ID everyone who wants to use it must then use that Apple ID.
As to your question about ID3 tags, iTunes Match does not "clean up" ID3 tags. The tags in the library are untouched. -

iTunes Match does not list all the music I had on my iphone. Not on my phone or iTunes. Only shows the music I've purchased from itunes and none of my 400+ songs. Please help. Thank you.
Is your music in your iTunes library on your computer and has match completed its scan of this library.

How can I get iTunes 11 to stop showing iTunes Match songs on a computer for which iTunes Match is not enabled?
Found it: PREFERENCES --> STORE --> uncheck "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases."

iTunes Match is not working after the iOS 6 install. All music that was previously downloaded is gone. When the "Music App" is opened, I see a picture of a cloud, and a progress bar that goes nowhere. Then it goes away. No playlists are present. It shows artists, and albums, but all songs are empty. Nothing plays.
Is there a fix for this, or are the Apple Servers simply totally overwhelmed, and this is a matter of being annoyed and patient until it finally connects.

Some further peculiar things I noticed:
Directly after updating to iOS 6 I had to switch on iTunes Match again (iPhone settings). Then I realized that my music was gone (as described above).
Under settings -> usage one could see that the memory space was still occupied by the huge music library (i.e. there where only 9 of 64 GB free). This changed after several hours. Now there are only 9 GB used, the rest is free. So the library is really gone.
Since then my iPhone continuously downloads some unknown data from the internet (even if all apps are closed and I deselect the use of mobile networks at the several menus in the settings). All apps are closed. The iPhone gets hot and downloads something. It downloaded nearly 400 MB in the last 48 hours via mobile networks. (I got a flatrate, so I don't really care about the data.)
Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for any help! -
My Itunes match is not working right, it was only able to download 50% of my songs and now I can't play the balance songs.. it has messed up my enitre music library

No judgment here on the music you listen to, I have that song too in my library. If iTunes is telling you that the song is missing and you purchased it from the iTunes Store, then just delete it from your iTunes library and then download your song again. My iTunes Match will not complete Step 3 of the uploading process. I have over 700 "items" designated as "waiting." I have restarted multiple times but it stalls at this point.
I've been reading all these comments about how match is not working and people are having problems uploading all their songs. My problem is more basic than that. When I open iTunes I immediately get the spinning color disc of death and I can't do anything at all. I can't go to the store. I can't listen to a song. I can't do anything. I just tried to sync my iPod. I pugged it into my computer, iTunes started up, looked like it was going to sync, then the spinning disc again. So forget match; I can't do anything, nada, nothing. I even tried to send my iTunes application to trash, but I got a message saying I couldn't do that because it was needed for OS X. Talk about a do loop, this is unbelievable.
Is anyone else having the problem I am having?
