Itunes Newest Version no Photo Tabs

So I downloaded the latest version of Itunes and I tried to sync my photos to my ipod and the tab for Photos isn't even there.  I look in preferences for the sources and it wasnt even in there. I can not find the option to add photos or sync or anything related to photos in the newest version of itunes as the picutre below shows.

Go to full screen.  it is there but if you have the window less than max it disappears.

  • Cant install iTunes, newest version

Ok I just got an Ipod nano for my birthday and I can not install iTunes.
This is the error that pops up.
Could not set file security for file 'C:\documents and settings\All Users\ Application Data\Apple Computer\itunes\sc info\'. Error: 112. Verify that you have sufficient privleges to modify the security permissions for this file.
I dont know what to do. My wife has an iPod as well, but mine had to use the newest version. so I tried to just update the one we had and the same message popped up. I uninstalled the program and tried to install the newer version but it still has the same message. I am choked that I probably didnt have to uninstall, but if someone could help me with this that would be awesome.

I have a similar problem I cannot install itunes properly from the bundled latest QuickTime/iTunes download with WinXPPro. The install gets as far as "registering modules" then goes into suspension. I use Task Manager to get out but that does not close the install which stays in suspension. Out of this QuickTime does install properly but not iTunes which seems to open only reluctantly after a long delay, with an error message that registry is not configured properly for cd recording etc, nor does it recognise my ipod. To uninstall and start over I have to reboot because the installation program is still running in the background. I have downloaded QuickTime without itunes 7 which installs OK but I can't find a stand-alone version of iTunes 7.x to try. Why is the latest version of iTunes only available bundled with QuickTime? I have downloaded and installed iTunes 6.5 successfully, but that is not compatible with the latest ipods. I have gone through all the steps suggested on the Apple support pages but with no success. How do I get up and going with my new ipod???

  • Music appears grey with a sync symbol on iPhone 4 (iOS 6.0.1) on iTunes (newest version as of 11/20/2012) and will not play on iPhone. It is set to manually manage music.

So I got a brand new iPhone 4 from a Sprint retailer, and it came with the software that was available at the time of the release. I left it that way for a while and put music on it through iTunes (latest version as of 11/20/2012) with no problems. Then I updated the software on the iPhone to iOS6.0.1 and when i tried to put music on it through iTunes like normal the songs showed up in the library of the iPhone (still on the computer) however they were grey and they had a syncing symbol to the left as if it were still syncing the music. I waited and waited but it would not go away. then I clicked the arrow at the middle top of iTunes where it shows you what song is playing and everything else iTunes is doing, and it did not say that it was syncing the music like normal. Basically the library indicated the music was still syncing but iTunes was not putting it on. I currently have it set to manually manage music. I do not want to switch it to automatically sync or reset my iPhone because I will lose my information. Any immediate help would be greatly appreciated!

When I went to restore my phone, I may have found the cause of these problems. I never deleted all of my original synced songs before enabling iTunes Match.
When I just went to do the restore, I figured I'd delete all of my songs, then disable iTunes Match. After deleting about 3.5 GB of music and disabling iTunes Match, I ran the sync to backup my iPhone. It said there was still 2.2 GB of music. I checked my phone just in case and there was 2.2 GB there, probably the original synced songs that I never removed.
Anyway, I'm doing the restore now just in case and will respond tomorrow with how everything is working.

  • Itunes installed and no photo tab

i have i tunes installed, but there is no "photos" tab. I wanted to manually select photos and put them on my itouch, but alas there is no photos tab

That photo tab only shows up when the ipod touch is connected. Click on your device name in the left panel to see this.

  • BSOD after closing Itunes (newest version, also older versions) error: Reference by pointer 0x000000018

Every time I close Itunes I get a BSOD in windows vista ultimate 64bit error I get in BSOD : Reference by pointer error code 0x000000018.
Looked for dumpfile but no dumpfile created.
Allready uninstalled Itunes and all apple software following some tips I found on the internet in correct order, reinstalled same problem occurs.
I believe it must have to do something with apple mobile device software, but when I remove that software Itunes can't find the mobile devices
    anymore.

    Guys,
I'm in the same boat, close iTunes 11.0.4.4 and BSOD. When it is open everything is fine!

  • Downloading iTunes newest version with dial up

I just got my iPod and am having trouble already! Any successful hints on how to download iTunes via dial up internet on Windows XP? Please help!!
    Dell   Windows XP

ERGG! Are you serious? you think it deleted the file? I thought it said my iPod was corrupt............ I hate Dial-Up, but we can't get any better because no one will provide it where we are!! We are only a mile away from the closest person with DSL, but they still won't do it!
Are you sure that iTunes deleted it? What would the file be called if iTunes didn't delete it?
After paying the $9.95, I can't even get what I paid for because of our stupid Dial-Up!
I wish Apple allowed the download to be able to be paused so that slow connections could do it.
In case you can't tell, I am really frustrated right now.
Maybe there's a disk I can get somewhere that has the iPod touch update.
Is there anyone who can help me with this?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • Itunes newest version 7.x.x re; not authorized on this computer for songs

purchased. Running PC with XP. Some of the older songs purchased from itunes ask for authorization, a name and password. when given it says you are authorized but will still not play the song. you get the same name and password screen again. Also songs sound scratchy and when moving from song to song on playlists skips badly. I hope the fix is coming or I will lose about 6000 songs.

when given it says you are authorized but will still not play the song. you get the same name and password screen again.
that's familiar from the pre 7.0.x days. perhaps first check in with the Music Store to see if there's some kind of snarlup with your authorisations. the email form at the bottom of this FAQ would be the best one to use:

  • ITunes 8.2.1 update bug (-50) and changes to iTunes Photo tab

Many thanks in advance for your attention.
    1. Since I updated to iTunes 8.2.1, have had the following bug whenever I try to sync my iPod Touch (2G). "The iPod " " cannot be synced - An unknown error occurred (-50)." pops up.
    2. I have a file in iPhoto of just photos for my iPod (instead of the entire - huge - iPhoto Library.) Under iTunes, looking under the Photos Tab, this choice was "selected albums" - which allowed you to pick just one album from one's iPhoto Library to be synced. But this choice, the button, is now greyed out. It is there, but one can no longer select it.
    3. ?
    4. On top of that, the default - Sync All Photos from iPhoto is now selected. (I think this is the cause for the -50 error). I never intended to have my whole iPhoto library automatically imported by my iPod.
    4. As others have done here, I turned off "Sync Photos" from iPhoto.
    5. Then when I try to sync, no problem, no hitches. No Error prompts. Great.
    6. But - this way, I am forever stuck with the photos that are in my iPod now. Adding new photos seems impossible, as the sync Selected Albums button is greyed out.
    7. Have I overlooked something? From other posts, it seems this is a bug that is widespread.

same exact problem just happened within the last few weeks (something to do with snow leopard update??)..i had other wise been happily syncing a second generation touch with version 3.0

  • Where is the photo tab in itunes 11

updated to new itunes 11 but the photo tab (which is usually on the top with summary, videos etc) is missing. how do i transfer photos form windows back to iphone?

I am having problems with this too. I have tried changing my screen resolution, and I can't find a way to resize the window. Grabbing the bottom, right corner of the screen didn't work either. I have read about 5 forums on this and can't seem to figure it out. Seems like a common problem. How else have you all suceeded in finding this tab?

  • Adding photo's - 'photos' tab not appearing under device

I am trying to add some photos to my ipod touch in itunes. When my ipod appears under devices, I expand it but there is no photos tabe, just music, films etc. Any ideas?!

Yo need to select the iPod in iTunes then select the Photos tab across the top, not the folders on the left side of iTunes.

  • Upgraded to photos now itunes won't open photo library.

Had to restore photo library from Time Machine backup due to kids deleting it. Restored OK, opened Photos app and migrated library, works fine in photos app.
However in iTunes under the sync photos tab with iPhone, photo library is greyed out and I cannot select it.
    Any ideas?

    Hello, bas.harbers.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that iTunes will not allow you to select and library to sync with after upgrading to Photos.  It sounds like you may just need to set Photos as the system library preference.  Here is the article that will walk you through this process.

  • Missing Photos Tab

Any suggestions for how to fix the fact that my iphone does not show a photos tab in itunes?
As a matter of fact, it looks like itunes is just cut off within its frame. The summary tab vertically ends midway through the check for update button.
I am on a macbook and am running the latest mac os 10.6.1, itunes 9.02 and iphone software 3.1.2. iphone is 16GB 3gs model.
I had this same problem in itunes 9.01. Already tried deleting itunes and re-installing it. still no photos tab.
iphoto does open up and display the photos on my phone but that is the only action I get.

I had this problem on my Dell with Vista. After spending 5 1/2 hours, talking with Apple reps, googling for answers, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, and installing other photo programs, I came up with a simple idea that actually fixed the problem. It should have been my first fix rather than one that came to me 5 1/2 hours later. Always looking for a difficult answer when many times it is simple.
For those who are having this problem, go to "Controls" on your PC, find where to adjust screen resolution and slide the resolution bar gradually increasing resolution and amount of info that will appear on your computer screen. Before accepting, take a look at your iTunes page. The photo tab should appear in the extreme right hand corner. If not, keep adjusting until it does.
