Itunes no longer opens

My imac (27 inch quad core running Snow Leopard ) recently went blue screen. After coming back from being diagnosed/fixed everything works fine but iTunes will not open. Any suggestions on how to access this program?

Having said that, I work a lot with the men and women of our armed services. When someone says they are leaving for deployment, it means they are going to Iraq or Afghanistan for a year. When I see or talk to those folks, I make sure to thank them for their service.

iTunes no longer opens automatically when I connect any of my devices (iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPod Nano 5th Gen) to my 64-Bit Windows 7 PC.
In each case the option to open iTunes when the device is connected has been checked in the iTunes Device Summary. However, I iTunes will only open manually. Admittedly, this is not a big deal, but it makes me wonder why iTunes has stopped responding properly.

First, try reinstalling the latest version of iTunes. If that doesn't work, try restarting AMDS:

There was a short version expressly for people who weren't bothered to read a myriad of text.
Meh, not that it matters anymore. I ended up redownloading 70-odd albums, so I have the bulk of my music back. And I still have no idea what iTunes did with my files, but I'll make sure it never does it again.

ITunes no longer opening since upgrade

I installed the newest 7.1.1 version of iTunes (and also had to upgrade quicktime to 7.1.5). iTunes no longer opens and none of the possible fixes I've seen in the discussion boards has worked. Please let me know if anyone cracks the case. I am on OSX 10.3.9.

You can also try this:
Open in Image Capture in /Applications with your iphone connected. In the lower left, you'll see "connecting this iphone opens with" (if you don't see it, click the triangle/box icon to show it). Click the menu >> select "Other" and navigate to itunes and choose that. Quit Image Capture.

Upgraded to 7.6 iTunes, no longer opens.

Upgraded to 7.6 itunes. It no longer opens, although iTunes.exe is in the Task Manager. It also made me upgrade my iPod software so now it will no longer let me use any old/previous versions of iTunes.
I've tried formatting my computer (emptying it completely)
uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it.
Deleting all my Norton software (they make it so difficult to turn the firewall off so i didn't bother stuffing around with them)
and even turning off the Windows Firewall..
Im out of ideas and this issue is popular but still hasnt been solved!

Itunes No Longer Opens On Windows PC

For many days Itunes has not opened. Nothing happens, no error messages come up or anything, it just doesn't do anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, even tried an older version of it and nothing has worked. I tried to run it in safemode and it still didn't work. Everything else on my computer works fine, only Itunes wont work. I have emailed customer support many times and they wont help or give me any hints of what to do.

There is no message. The windows hour glass starts to revolve and then nothing.
Can you check something for me please?
Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)?

The option appears greyed out and unchecked when first looking at my iPad setttings in iTunes.
If I uncheck the item in the following pic in Preferences that option changes to checked.
Stilll iTunes refuses to open automatically since iOS 5 update.

Itunes no longer opens, help!

hi, i've had my ipod for about 2 months. when i first installed itunes, i had the problem where the terms of use would flash across the screen and never finish installing. i downloaded ewido (with suggestions from this forum) and managed to get my itunes up and running. everything was working fine, until a few weeks ago, when itunes all the sudden stopped opening altogether. now when i double-click on it to open, the hourglass appears and then disappears without opening itunes.
ive tried reinstalling itunes multiple times and ive also used ewido again (just in case there was something else on my computer stopping itunes from working) but ive had no luck. this problem is really frustrating, since now i can no longer download any music to my ipod, let alone even listen to any of it on my computer. any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! thank you!

I've long had a problem with iTunes taking ages to open and within the last week, not only has it taken several minutes to access the online store, but I cannot download tunes (the download times-out) and even when I try a sample play I keep getting "Network Stalled - rebuffering stream" error message every couple of seconds. I am able to download without problems from other websites. I've thought about re-installing iTunes but I'm scared of losing the tracks I've paid for.

If I plug my ipod into my laptop, itunes no longer opens.

The ipod says "Connected" and charges, but nothing else. When I do the same for my iphone, itunes opens immediately and the iphone charges.
Oh, and if I plug my ipod in then unplug the cable, itunes then opens.
Help?

Addition: in Devices Preferences, my ipod no longer appears. All the music I've added is still in itunes and on the ipod though.

Please Help - Itunes no longer opens or works

Hi there.
Hoping someone out there can help solve my problem.
Problem occured after I first started dragging mp4 movies into the " Automatically add to Itunes" folder and was working for the first few but now the loading circle thing comes up as my mouse whenever I try to open itunes.
Have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and restarting etc with no avail.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I googled on "Windows Installer Service could not be accessed" and the one I posted was the top hit. There were others from the Microsoft website - it sure seems like a WIndows problem, and not necessarily an iTunes problem.

ITunes no longer opening after last update.

ITunes not opening after last update on my main user. Second user is fine however accesses different library.
Computer freezes when attempting to open ITunes. Have also searched for the sync services file but is not located under reveal in folder or go to options.
Apologies I am not the best tech savy person and have read other posts trying to solve the problem. Other posts asked for the following reports.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - we are an apple household and this is effecting everything!
