ITunes not showing ATV Content...can't sync...HELP!

Just updated to Snow Leopard...linked the ATV and iTunes with the 5 digit code. It shows up under devices...but only the summary and photo tabs are available. In the summary tab (where you usually have all the info on how you want to manage syncing, etc.)...it is blank with no info/options.
I have the most up to date software on ATV and MacBook Pro / iTunes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

2 reasons why you might only have 2 tabs.
1) itunes is set to use "automatic syncing" as opposed to "custom sync"
2) you have linked itunes to the appletv as a secondary streaming only connection, thus no sync options are available.

If the sender got a message that the Messagers were not delivered than they were never delivered and the only way for you to get them is for the sender to resent them

Purchased content not showing up and can't sync to AppleTV

I have some songs and TV shows on my iMac that I purchased from the iTunes Store. I just got my AppleTV and updated it to 2.0.1 I can stream/sync all my non-iTunes content just fine. When I look to stream something that I purchased through iTunes it doesn't show up at all on the AppleTV.
I also can't sync any of that content. I get the error message that the AppleTV can't connect to the iTunes Store to authorize. Yet I am able to connect to the iTunes store to rent a movie. I only have one iTunes Store account and have it setup on the AppleTV and iTunes.
So obviously I can connect to the iTunes store it just won't authorize it for any of my purchased items to play on the AppleTV. I haven't rented a movie through iTunes yet because I don't think it will work on the AppleTV since nothing else I got from the iTunes store works.
I tried reimporting my library per the guide that I have seen posted on the message boards but that didn't change anything.
Help.

Okay spoke to soon. I saw a tip to deauth my computer that I had syncing to the AppleTV and then re-authorize it for iTunes purchases. Did that and it resync'd my AppleTV and I saw a message saying that it was authorizing the Apple TV for iTunes store and now purchases are working correctly

Deleted files from iTunes not showing in Trash Can

Hi there,
I am experiencing a problem where if I delete a track or podcast from iTunes and select the option Move to Trash, it does not show up in my Trash Can on the dock unless I open TC in Finder. Only then the TC logo on the dock shows that TC is not empty. Is this something that only I am experiencing? Any help to explain why this is and how to remedy it would be appreciated.

I have found that if I delete files from iTunes, I don't see paper showing in the trash indicating that something is there, but if I click the icon for the trash, the paper will suddenly appear...and opening the folder to view what's in the trash shows that the deleted song is, indeed, there.

ITunes not showing some content after I purchassed and downloaded the album

I went and downloaded cant hold us by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and I had a look in my library after I downloaded it and could not fid it so I went into finder to see if it was there and it was so I played it from there and it opened in iTunes then I searched the track after doing it thousends of times the album name came up so I clicked on it but it took me to nothing I am really ****** off

Seems as if the index of the main music playlist isn't getting updated in some circumstances. Apparently the most effective voodoo is to obtain the current "Free Single of the Week". It may be that any new purchase causes ITunes to reindex itself properly but this one seems to work, and is free. Alternatively you could try closing iTunes, deleting the hidden file sentinel from within the main iTunes folder, and restarting. This should cause iTunes to run an integrity check on the database which will likely resolve any issues.

Ralph9430 offers a good suggestion. But you may need to do this before taking his advice:
Check in iPhoto's Preferences (which you can open from the iPhoto menu). Look in General, and make sure "Connecting Camera Opens" is set to "Image Capture").
If it is set to "iPhoto", you won't be able to get to Image Capture easily.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

No - not at all. Look at that one app that I gave you the link for. That is supposed to transfer all of the iPad content to the new computer. I have no idea how much it costs, but it's worth a look. There are other out there as well. Google "apps to transfer iPad content to computer" or something to that effect. These apps claim to transfer everything.
Several things to remember - you can still transfer all of the iTunesicon tent that you purchased by using the Transfer Purchases option in iTunes. Just remember to turn off auto syncing before you do it. You will also have to authorize your new computer to transfer the purchase if you haven't done so already. From the iTunes menu on your computer go to Store> Authorize this computer.
Plus any apps or music that you have bought can be downloaded again at no charge with the cloud feature in the latest iPad iOS.
EDIT - I see that you did transfer the purchases. Look at one of those apps that I described and they should be able to get you set up. You should also invest in an external hardrive for backing up all of your computer content ... don't want this to happen again!

In the article you were coming from, there is actually a section regarding what to do if you have never synced to iTunes before:
If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer
If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

i found the answear. go to library/PDF Services or ~/Library/PDF/Services and clean out this folder. you can also add scripts and automator scripts to add things

When I login to portal as admin user go to administration --> Display portlet repository--> Seeded providers does not show Portal Content area.I tried to search but no results shown.
Any idea as to how to get it back ?

1. From the Portal Object Navigator, click on the Applications
tab.
2. In the "Find" box, type %search% and click "Go"
3. There are 2 reports you need to modify, depending on which
portlet provider you want to use: RPT_SEARCH (owned by
people_app) and SEARCH_RESULT (owned by wwv_system)
4. For each report, click the "Edit" link
5. Click the "Display Options" tab
6. Under the "Full Page Options" heading, change the "Size"
for "Row Text" to 12. (If you are running the reports as
portlets, then you must also change the "Size" for "Row Text"
under "Portlet Options".)
7. Click OK
Search results are now visble using either portlet, the Oracle
Portal provider or the PEOPLE_APP provider.
You may also need to change the field settings on the hierarchy
if now when you run the people search you receive SQL errors.
Here is what worked for me (assuming you want to change both
users components):
1. On the Application Tab search for %search% and %detail%
components. You don't need to change the WWMON components.
Change the font size on the full page and portlet options
(Display Options Tab)for the heading and text (I use 12 and
11pt). Otherwise the default can only be read with a magnifying
glass.
2. The org chart components are slightly different. Search for %
org% and you will find 2 components org_chart and orgchart. Both
of these need to have the column fields changed (Table or View
Column tab) as well as the font size for the Parent, Child,
Grandchild (Display Options Tab). Here are the Table Column
settings (for some reason they are initially blank - yet will
fail if recompiled without values):
People_App.Org_chart
1. key values:
primary key - empno
parent key - manager
start with - empno
ww_system.orgchart
1. Primary Key Column WWSEC_PUBLIC_DIRECTORY.ID
