I updated iTunes and now when I plug into my computer I get the message " thisiPad cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes then install iTunes again."
But if I do that will I loose all my apps?

You may be loose your apps. However, you can re-download them for free using the same account you used the first time. When you do that it will say you already downloaded and ask if you want to download again. Your receipt will show $0.00.

ITUNES NOT WORKING ON IPAD 3?

    What exactly is the problem?
The iTunes App on your iPad is a portal to the iTunes Store for music and videos.  It needs a connection to the internet (either WiFi or cellular) to work.
To play music on your iPad, use the Music App.  To play videos on your iPad, use the Videos App.
If you need help using your iPad, look at the iPad iOS 5.1 User Guide

  • Polarioid pogo printer not working with ipad and iphone

And I can not believe how that truly *****... I am traveling through the states and bought the pogo to print on the road... Only to find out that it does not work with ipad and does not work with iphone... Unless I jailbreak my phone which I don't really want to do...
Apple wants us to go mobile and clouding and all those things, yet, when we do go mobile and try a mobile life style, we are encountering so much technical crap that we loose the will to live...
I could have spend the hundred dollar for the pogo to have pics printed out in every kiosk in the country...
WWhen is Apple going to come to its senses about little life savers like the pogo and bluetooth???????
Is anyone aware of a work around so I can print on the go? And a solution that does not involve a programmers brain because my single braincell is not working while traveling... It needs to be easy!

To cut through all the rage and anger and "knowing" who wanted what, the Pogo has been out for a year or so, well before Mr. Jobs' passing, and Apple did not make any mention of supporting printing on anything other than Airprint compatible printers.
Since Airprint is a Wi-Fi/ethernet thing, Polaroid would have to make a significant redesign to the Pogo.  Considering that the first iPhones only supported Bluetooth headsets and Apple didn't provide any indications about increasing Bluetooth support, Polaroid's decision for the Pogo to be Bluetooth was obviously not with iOS devices in mind.  This is why initially Polaroid had links on the FAQ to tell Apple to add Bluetooth printing support (so that in effect, asking Apple to pay for the expenses to make the iPhone compatible with the Pogo, rather than Polaroid paying to make the Pogo compatible with iOS.)
I come from a photograpic background.  I got the Pogo as soon as it came out.  I quite literally was on Polaroid's website every day checking to see when I could order it.  Having "instant" sticker prints is wonderful at family picnics with all the kids.  While it would be great to be able to get Pogo prints from anyone's iPhone, I stopped holding my breath when Apple announced Airprint, which came well after the Pogo was released.  So I took that as the sign that it was probably never going to happen.  (I knew that the Pogo wasn't iOS compatible when I bought it so not having compatiblity is not a deal-breaker for me.  But, yes, it would be nice.)
I now use a Polaroid Z340 since it's a 14 megapixel camera that prints larger 3x4 Zink prints.  Polaroid makes the GL10, which is basically a Pogo using the same printer as the Z340.  But it's still Bluetooth only.   So while I sympathize with the desire to have a really compact portable printer like the Pogo, iOS compatibility just does not seem to be on the horizon.  IMHO, it would be more realistic that Polaroid create an app to do Bluetooth printing.  But considering Polaroid's financial issues, I'm not holding my breath

  • Av adapter not working with ipad 2, please advice

I bought an av adapter 2012 release, is not working with my ipad 3g att ios version 4.3.5 i tried reset, changing the widescreen button multiple times no luck no video mirroring or sound. When i plug there is a msg displayed: accessory not supported.
    I have 2 questions :
    1) is this a ios version ? There a lot people complaining that after updates the adapter stopped working, if it is is this version w abug?
    2) can i update the ios to 5.x not the ios 6 or i m forced to update to the last version ?

See the following where it states the requirement of iOS 5.1 or later (in the features box)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4108?viewlocale=en_US
And yes, you should be able to update to iOS 5.1 without going directly to iOS 6. You need to locate the correct .ipsw update file for your iPad 2 and manually install it through iTunes. Google "ios ipsw 5.1.1" for links to the iOS 5.1.1 files.

  • Itunes not working with Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Itumes 10.6.3 version will not work with Vista Home Premium. I have a 32-bit operating system. I'm not sure what to do next. It appears in trying to update it deleted the old itumes, as I can't find a copy of it when I search the computer.

    Then I installed Quicktime on its own - still get the same error 'Quicktime has stopped working;
Okay. That will be the source of the iTunes problem. (Without a properly working QuickTime, iTunes won't work correctly.)
Checking on things that can cause QuickTime launch errors now.
Have you at any stage installed any Codec Packs, any copies of the programs QT Alternative, QT Lite or Storm Codec, or any media converter programs that can convert files into QuickTime readable formats?
(I'm checking on these things because depending on the versions of the programs/codec-packs, these can install earlier versions of QuickTime componentry on a PC, which can interfere with the running of a higher version of QuickTime.)

  • Work around for iTunes not working with shuttle

Well, I have found a work around for the iTunes not working the the Shuttle. It is not pretty, and many of you may not choose to follow my lead. This procedure has a lot of dumb steps in it, but in the end, one can copy data/songs to a Shuttle.
It involves removing the current iTunes and replacing it with a version that also had a bug in it.( I told you it ain't pretty).
    Procedure:
    1. Go to this url: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/ipod_itunes/itunes802forwindows.html
    2. Download the old 8.0 version of iTunes for Windows.
    3. Remove the current iTunes from your computer. Note after you run the remove utility in Windows, you need to delete the iTune library that isn't removed.
    4. Install iTunes 8.0
Here is where it gets dumb.
This version of iTunes has a bug with the USB interface, but there is an easy work around.
    5. Make sure the Shuttle is not connected when you launch iTunes.
    6. After iTunes comeup, attach the Shuttle.
    7. iTunes should see your Shuttle.
    8. Select the music you want to upload, and drag it to the Shuttle.
    9. iTunes will just sit there, so you need to get its attention. To get its attention you must disconnect and reconnect one of your USB devices, just not the Shuttle. Some folks do their mouse, one used a USB drive, and another on used is GPS because he was working from a laptop and did not have a mouse.
    10. In a few moments, iTunes will do its thing and copy your data to the Shuttle. You must do this routine for each copy, so if you develop a Play List, you only have to do step 9 once.
The getting the old copy of iTunes was my idea, but a gentleman from a year ago figured out the mouse step.
I am now a happy camper, my Shuttle is full of music again.
However, I hope Apple finds a fix for the 8.2 problem soon.
    Take care all.

I stand corrected on the name. By the time I figured out how to copy the songs I had a few other names in mind.
One of the first things I tried was the Reset utility. After the iTunes restore did not work, I went looking for something else. After using the utility, I connected the iPod and resynced. I had left the Autofill box checked. iTunes autofilled the iPod. I deleted those songs and tried to put a different play list in. It would not copy the songs, iTunes said there was no room even though the play list for the shuffle was empty. I looked at the settings screen and it said the iPod was full. I synced the iPod to my Mac, and that got rid of the "full" indication. That is when I started looking for an older version of iTunes, unfortunately all I could find is a version with the USB bug.

  • Converted home videos to itunes not working with ipod touch

So I finally was able to convert some home movies to itunes but now they will not work with my ipod touch. I get a error message saying "can not be played on this ipod". I also can't get the movies to work with my ipod video (classic) either, how do I fix this? And yes there is enough space for the videos.

if the files are in iTunes, select one (or all) and choose +create iPod or iPhone version+ from the advanced menu. try syncing the newly created file(s) to your Touch.
    what happens ?

  • 3.5mm jack Ear Phones not working with IPAD

  • Peer-to-Peer Airplay not working with iPad (Gen. 3)

I'm in the process of testing "wireless projection" solutions. Since I have access to an iPad (gen. 3), iPad Retina, iPad Air and iPhone 5c all running iOS 8.0, with a pair of Apple TV's, Model 1469, one ATV a wired connection and one ATV no network connection at all.  Both devices were updated using Configurator to get the activation setup.
Once activate, they were then set up in their respective locations, and the settings were verified (i.e. airplay is on, networks are connected/disconnected as required) and tested using each of the iOS devices listed above.
All 4 iOS devices could see the networked Apple TV as expected.  But the Gen 3 iPad was the only device that didn't pick up the Peer-to-peer Apple TV when testing the standalone unit.  I tried to reset the iPad, turned off and on the radios, but the device will not pick up the PTP ATV.
Has anyone else had any luck getting a Gen 3 iPad to work with the Peer-to-Peer with out a network?
According to the following KB, Use AirPlay to wirelessly stream content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you should be able to use a 3rd gen iPad to peer to peer airplay.

iPad 3rd generation doesn't support Peer-to-Peer Airplay. Apple quietly said it was for iOS devices introduced in LATE 2012. Like for Handoff; certain devices with the latest Wi-Fi specifications can get this feature. The iPad 3 was introduced in EARLY 2012. I tried, but it didn't work. Here is what I found in the Apple TV Section.
AirPlay requires an Apple TV (2nd generation or later) with an iOS device running iOS 4.3 or later or a Mac with iTunes 10.2 or later. Some features require the latest software.
Peer-to-peer AirPlay requires a Mac (2012 or later) with OS X Yosemite or an iOS device (late 2012 or later) with iOS 8; and an Apple TV (3rd generation rev A, model A1469 or later) with Apple TV software 7.0 or later.
AirPlay Mirroring is available with iPhone 4s or later; iPad 2 or later; iPad mini; iPod touch (5th generation); and iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer), and Mac Pro (Late 2013) with OS X Mountain Lion or later.
Dual-screen capability is available with iPhone 4s or later, iPad 2 or later, iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation).

  • New version of iTunes not working with itunes library

I installed the new iTunes 8.0 and now when I try to open iTunes, I get an error message--"the file itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." What does that mean, how can i make iTunes work with my new Nano?

I have I tunes on both the laptop with WindowsXP and on the
newly acquired Desktop, HP Q 8200 with Vista 64.
For the latter I have downloaded the latest recommended
version for Vista64, but even though I can see the imported
and saved ( on an external hard drive) play list I can not
play them. When I click on them on this new Vista 64
empowered Desktop, nothing happens. When I click on
Beethoven folder ( which contains many creations by
composer) I can see nothing in the right panel regarding
    the overture, for example.
On the laptop I have exactly the same play list and all
    works fine there.
Audio is OK, because when I go to the I-tunes store with
the desktop, I can listen to the songs.
    Any solutions????

  • Itunes not working with 64 bit operating system

Does anybody know how 2 or when itunes will work or can work with a 64 bit system. I had no problems when I first downloaded itunes on my computer about 4 months ago. Then I updated itunes and it doesnt install properly. On the disclaimer it says it will only work with a 32 bit or less. I've lost my entire itunes library. atleast its still in my ipod but i cant burn any songs either. Does anybody know how 2 fix this?

If you are referring to Vista Support, It may be after the new year before it fully supports vista. I have not upgraded to vista yet but I was thinking about it!
