ITunes Plus "Buy" button missing

I cannot upgrade individual songs using iTunes Plus.  The only options I have are to uprade albums or "Buy All".  There are over 400 songs listed but my only choice is to upgrade all.  However, when I log in using a different computer, I can buy individual songs.  Already worked for a week with iTunes Store support and got nowhere.  They determined it's not my account.  So it seems to be some sort of software conflict.  Has anyone else had this problem and been able to resolve it?  And upgrading via another machine and downloading via "Purchased" function had a whole different set of problems which make that an unworkable option.

    I feel your pain. All I can offer is what I found worked for me in my upgrade from 3.9 to 4.9--and the WHY of that is not clear to me. Perhaps it could have been done better by trashing the .plist files that are listed above . . .
    But, several things--you have provided little in the way of the details of your situation--what are you trying to connect and what error windows are you getting. So, if it's not exactly like macmend then maybe you should start a new thread/topic and provide more info. And, if you read my post at the linked thread you would see that it took me a long time to piece my personal answer together--depending on who reads your question that may be faster or slower. BUt, don't give up--I did a number of searches in the search discussion bar to the right and followed along to try to find other people who were having the same problem. The answer is probably simple if everything was working right before hand. And that is the question--was everything right before you did the upgrade--did you "repair permissions" and did you perchance "repair disk" using install CD before you did the upgrade? These kind of details can provide more info so that someone can help you with your issue. Good luck.

    As long as both devices are connected to the same iTunes Store account, they both have access to all the apps that you've purchased.

    Are you putting in the address where the bank sends the monthly statement?
    Apple's servers are very picky about the format of the address. If you live in the USA, then the server is expecting the style that the US Postal Service uses. One way to do this is to use the USPS ZIP Code lookup service;

    Enter the address to look up the ZIP code and then copy the exact USPS output into your iTunes account information.

    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

    I meticulously followed the instructions but I still haven't been able to completely uninstall itunes and the ipod.
    When I right-click on the bin folder in the ipod folder in program files and then choose delete, I get the following message:
    "Cannot delete iPodServiceLocalized.dll: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is currently not in use."
    When I right-click on the Quicktime folder in program files, I get the following message:
    "Cannot delete QTTASK.EXE: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is currently not in use."
    When i open the windows installer cleanup tool I cannot see itunes/ipod/quicktime in the list.
    I suspect this is something to do with administrator rights? How do I log in as an administrator? Only me and my husband use the computer, but we don't log in under any different IDs or anything, we just switch it on and start using it?!
    I tried installing 4.9 from one of the other threads anyway, but I still get the message that a newer version of itunes is installed so it cannot continue. The itunes in the ipod program file shows as 4.8.0.

  • ITunes Plus internal error - now I can't buy or download it

    I tried to buy iTunes Plus a few days ago, and it said that Plus had an internal error and that I should try back later.  When I tried it later, it said that I had already bought it, but it won't download any new songs or let me try to resubmit the request.  I've emailed Apple support twice and am not getting anywhere.  I believe my credit card was charged, but when I check for new downloads, nothing comes up.
    Any ideas?

    Well, you have to fix it with the bank.

  • The BUY button does not work in iTunes

    iTunes will not allow me to buy music. The BUY button does not work. I can drag a song to my Purchased folder and then the BUY button comes up in my Library! And then I can buy the song. However I want to purchase whole albums, not single songs.

    It really makes it tough to troubleshoot when there is no error message. So what I'm saying is - I am sort of at a loss. Anyway, try this - close all apps on your iPad, reboot the iPad and then try again.
    Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Buy All Button Missing from My Wishlist - Answer as to WHY!

    Okay everyone that has been frustrated....or rather HALF of everyone, I finally got an answer from Apple (after being on hold on/off for just under an hour), as to WHY the Buy All button feature was removed from the My Wishlist when wanting to purchase ALL of your items in one purchase, as opposed to each item being purchased and charged separately to your payment account (i.e. debit/credit card, or checking/savings account).
    The reason WHY is because the other half of everyone was frustrated that they were accidentally clicking on the "Buy All" button when it was in iTunes, and buying all of their Wishlist items when they in reality wanted to just buy a select few (be it one or many...but NOT all).  So after listening to the complaints of the userbase and apparently my definition of half is in reality the majority, Apple removed the Buy All button.
    So there you have it!  I feel a sense of relief knowing why and the explanation of it.  Now being a computer programmer myself, I'm sure there is some way Apple can design it so that it would prevent the user from accidentally buying all by providing another prompt or perhaps a checkbox option in some "Settings" environment where the user can toggle on/off this feature.  Any those are my thoughts and that should be the "feedback" to Apple.  Not just to put it back but put it back in this way so the entire user base can be satisified.
    Thoughts?
    P.S. - Apple assured me that if I were to buy the items separately (assuming done within the timeframe, my guess of a few minutes, assuming you don't have a million WishList items) that they still will show up on my credit card as one charge.  I beg to differ and told them that I still got separate charges.

    Seems to me a total 'own goal'.  I, like many, haven't the time to sit there and purchase each song individually and then there are all the other valid comments about fraudulent alerts etc.
    Dear Apple.  Kindly see sense and revert your systems.  If that's deemed to be too negative, why not develop a best of both worlds solution.  Provide a tick box against each entry in the wish list, with an option to multi populate/toggle.  The purchaser than has the flexibility to buy individually, as a whole or pick and choose. Coding for this is not difficult.  I am amazed that this universally used option (see all email platforms), was not adopted at concept let alone at the time of the rather ill thought out solution of taking down the 'buy all' option.
    As it stands at the moment, you have lost my business.  I can't believe that this decision hasn't affected your sales revenue.  I maybe 1 small voice, but look at the amount of negative commentary going on about this issue.  Please listen to your customer base.
    While you are at it....  Can you reinstate the listen to all option through iTunes store, again I haven't the time to fiddle around looking for the best recording among the many.  This includes wish list as it helps me to make my final decision whether to buy.

    The buy button isn't working in iTunes. I can sample songs, but can't buy them. When I hit the 'buy' button nothing happens. It is not greyed out. It should just purchase the song, fine, but nothing occurs. My credit card info. has not changed and just a week ago it was working fine. Please help.

    See if there's an iTunes upgrade available.
    Also try quitting and restarting iTunes, to see if that clears the issue.
    Failing that, try a system reboot.

    It has been about a month ago that I successfully downloaded music; but within the last week this problem with an unresponsive BUY button began, for no apparent reason.
    I have an Intel 3.06Ghz Core 2 Duo, using OS 10.6.3 and iTunes 10.1.1
    The strange thing about this problem is that I can download music by "Gifting" the selection(s) to myself, but the cost is charged against my iTune MasterCard number, .......even though I have a positive credit balance in my iTunes account.
    If I download music selections using the same iTune account ID and PW but accessed with my iPad (ver 4.3.5), everything happens in a normal way, that is, the "BUY" button works fine and the charge is deducted from my iTunes balance.
    I should mention one other thing about using my iMac:  Everytime I clicked on the defective BUY button, which seemed inoperative and music selections never downloaded, a $1.00 pending charge showed up on my MasterCard account;  this is not good, although the pending charge disappears in a couple of days because the music never downloaded.
    I think my problem (and maybe yours) has something to do with the local iMac with its iTunes software, because using my iPad results in a normal operational download.  Should I upgrade to a later version of iTunes staying within the range of my OS 10.6.3  (don't want to move to Lion or Mountain Lion; I'll loose usage of my old software)
    I have "Reset Warnings" in the account pane of my iTunes account;  that didn't solve a thing.
    Please let me know if you have any thoughts or better luck than I.

  • "Buy" button is missing

    The main "window" in Itunes is too small, so that things to the right do not appear and there is no way to scroll to them. Specifically, I am trying to "buy" a ringtone and the cancel button appears (about half of it) but the buy button is off the screen/out of the window. I've changed the "resolution" to every conceivable setting and no help. Any ideas?

    It appears to have been removed in the current version of iTunes - other people have made the same comment. You can try leaving feedback for Apple, and maybe it'll be added back in a future update : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
