ITunes Podcast doesn't grab all episodes

I have a really strange issue that started to occur recently. I have 51 episode, however iTunes Podcast only has 3 cataloged (originally it had all 51, but dropped back to 3). I even deleted all of my XML's and started from scratch. After re-doing all the XML's iTunes Podcast grabbed randomly different episodes (the number did jump from 3 to 14). In all honestly, I didn't even change anything I just re-uploaded them. I compared old XML's to the new ones, and they are identical. I have no idea what the heck is going on.
Here's my XML:

Any ideas if I have a weird XML problem or is it Podcast issue?
Looking forward to your responses.

Yes, there are 51 episodes in the Store. It can be a bit glitchy sometimes. Its favourite trick is saying is has the correct number of items but failing to show any.

  • Itunes doesn't show all episodes of a subscribed podcast

    Hi,
I am new to itunes and couldn't find the answer to this question:
how can I see all episodes of a subscribed podcast? In my library it only shows the most recent one.
      Windows Vista

If you see an arrow pointing to the right, next to the titlem change it so that it's pointing downwards. That should show all the eps & download all the episodes.

  • Podcast page doesn't show all episodes???

Hi, I maintain a video-podcast for a Dutch bookshop. A while ago I updated the RSS-feed with new episodes. However, they won't show up in the list of my podcast: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=130908598
When you subscribe, you'll see all 8 episodes, but on the main page, it only shows 4...
Feedvalidator claims my feed is OK:

  • TV Show doesn't show all episodes in cloud

I bought a few episodes of the show Arrow.  In trying to clear up some disk space, I deleted them from itunes.  For some reason, most of them show up in my library with the cloud icon, and are available on my other devices, but at current, it doesn't show in the list on other devices, or in itunes (until I download it as I'm doing in the picture.
Is there anything I can do to restore it to it's former cloudy self?
Using iTunes 11 on OSX Lion

i'm having the same problem with an episode of beavis and butthead I watched it on the computer but then when I synced it to my ipod it won't play just a black screen and I'm not sure what the problem is. I checked the video settings and it didn't help fixing the problem with it. but the podcasts still worked on the 30 gb ipod.

  • Podcast didnt update now all episodes are taken off

    http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/coliseum-sports-radio/id422497818
    what happened?
it used to show 2 episodes and didnt update, now it doesnt show any episodes :/

    Your feed is at http://coliseumradio.com/?feed=coliseum-sports-radio
It appears to be OK, apart from the fact that it has no title (there should be a title in the 'title' tag, which is missing in your feed). All the episodes appear when subscribing.
The Store's behaviour is odd: if it had failed to read the feed at all because of a server problem it would have stuck where it was before. The only way I can think of that this could happen would be if you uploaded an empty feed before uploading a populated one, and the Store happened to check that. I'm assuming you haven't done anything like changing the feed URL.
The only suggestion I can offer is to give it a few days and see whether it updates - it should do, since subscribing works OK.

  • Itunes 12 doesn't display tv episode information?

I mean I guess I'm ok with the new design of iTunes but seriously...is there no way to display the information from the tv episode I have selected in my library?  Any way to change it so it doesn't show EVERY SINGLE EPISODE in a list (for tv shows like the simpsons that have over 20 season this is a little ridiculous...).
TV shows in my library, not in the iTunes store.  Any way to see any information on the episode other than title and length...?

See TV Episode Description Missing in iTunes 12
... where the same question is asked and answered.
UPDATE ... Well, almost the same question.  The answer I show is in the Store, not the individual collection.
Of course, music and iBooks don't show as much information in the user's collection as it does in the Store either.

  • ITunes syncing doesn't save all settings

Not sure if this belongs in the developer forums, but I couldn't find a good place for this question over there.
Basically, I'm running the iOS 5 beta on both my iPhone 4 (GSM) and my iPad 2 (Wi-Fi). I sync pretty regularly, and even use the iCloud backups, which seem to be working pretty well.
However, I run into this major issue each time I have to restore the devices when updating (that is, when OTA updates don't work...which happens from time to time). I sync RIGHT before I restore, to hopefully ensure that everything is preserved, but when I finish the restore, iTunes seems to forget all my settings. It attempts to sync apps that were either previously removed from my device, or apps that were never on it to begin with (this happens moreso on my iPad wherein it seems to think that a few of my iPhone apps belong on it, when they were never on my iPad to begin with).
My folders are never preserved, random settings are undone, and twice its lost a few days worth of photos. It doesn't even back up app settings. I have several games where weeks upon weeks worth of progress have been lost.
I don't understand what's going on. It's as if there's no point to syncing at all because nothing gets backed up. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm using the latest betas for iTunes and iOS, and have been part of the dev program since iOS 5 beta 3.
I know it's beta software, and that "bugs may happen", but this seems like a larger iTunes syncing issue whereby it simply refuses to do what it claims to do.

Well repairing permissions through disk utility didn't work.
In the end I converted the file to AAC from within iTunes and I was then able to edit & save info field again. I know this is not a fix but it is a usable work-around.

  • ITunes Podcast crash when include all podcasts.

iTunes crash when include all podcasts.
Podcast > My stations > Setting > Include all
What can i do? It's a pain to browse podcasts without this feature.

I've posted here also and suffer with the same problem.  Excluding video does allow synch to work however.

  • Itunes library doesn't see all the songs on my ipod

i manage my music manually as i have more disc space on my ipod than on my hard drive. so i just add stuff to my ipod one album at a time as i get it.
fast forward to me wanting to make a mix cd of the stuff on my ipod, and since i can't get any of the songs off my ipod through itunes i just used yamipod to move them back to my computer to burn to a cd. problem now is that all the music i've added since upgrading to the new itunes isn't showing up on my ipod, yet the space is still gone. when i use windows to search for the music, it shows up and will play in windows media player, but the ipod seems to think these songs are gone.
is there any way to get it to "see" these songs? or does itunes JUST look at the db file ONLY?
    TIA!!

First off, I would STRONGLY suggest that a external hard drive would make you life much easier by at least being able to back up your songs on the external drive for when you need them. Even if you don't want them in the iTunes library, you can have them all ready on the external to be re-added as needed. You can get 100's of gigs for under $100 shipped.
Anyway, since you used Yamipod, are all the songs back on the computer? If so, I would go ahead and restore the iPod, let iTunes then resync everything back to the iPod, then switch it back to manual and see if the restore and resync clears up the issue.

  • Itunes library doesn't show all the music on the ipod

Hello, My daughter's ipod version 6.1.6 shows that there should be 800 songs on her device. We plugged into the pc and the itunes menu showed this but when you go to the ipod itself and access the information that is on the ipod in the About section on the device it shows that it has only 197 songs on it. so what do i do to get the 800 back onto the ipod. thanks for the help

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

  • Why doesn't iTunes Match doesn't show all of my songs?

Some albums in my iTunes album don't show up at all, some show up, except a couple of songs off of it, and they're songs I've listened to with Match before. It just seems random and sporadic that the songs show up gray and can't play. (Correction: If I click on the songs in gray, they do play after downloading.)

I figured it out kind of. Looks like iTunes on my laptop is doing weird things sorting my tracks. It is spltting up compilations and saying some of the songs on the album are by an unknown artist. I have re-organized my songs by the same artist and that seems to have worked but still some missing.
I am still missing a lot of album artwork though.

  • Season pass doesn't show all episodes

I bought a season pass for the Good Wife on the understanding that I would be able to view current and future episodes. However, I cannot seem to view any episodes which have not already aired in the UK. I would like to know how I access future episodes. Any help much appreciated.

    Hi KirkersLaura,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. When you purchase a Season Pass of a currently airing television program, you are buying the entire season/series, but each episode is only available as it is aired (i.e. not in advance of their normal broadcast date), as outlined in the following articles:

  • Sometimes when burning a cd with iTunes it doesn't burn all tracks selected.

When I burn an audio cd sometime all tracks aren't burned to the cd.  It might burn the 1st 4 tracks and then for the rest it makes a sound like theres a plug not all the way plugged in wasting my cd.  What is causing this problem.  If I burn an mp3 cd everything usually works out fine.

    This same thing happened to me about two months. ago. I bought a new harddrive for my previously-fried netbook, and when I installed iTunes it gave me the missing registry business. So I came online and looked for solutions. This solution led to a different 'can't burn' error in iTunes, and I found a solution to that one, and it was like I was running in circles for a solid two weeks. Finally I managed to fix the problem, but after trying it hundreds of times I couldn't tell you which solution won out. Well, everything was fine and dandy, until I upgraded iTunes last night. Now its back to the same registry settings problem, and I want to maim something. Someone please help me ;___;
I'm running Windows 7 by the way, on an Acer aspire netbook

  • Outlook Sync doesn't grab all fields!

    Hi!
I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. My versions are:
    Windows XP Pro SP 2
    Nokia PC Suite V. 6.83.14.1
    Phone is a Nokia 6126
    Connection via Bluetooth
    Outlook 2003
    The Problem:
I am trying to Sync with my Contacts folder in Outlook 2003. I also set the Sync direction to always take the Outlook version to use. A couple things aren't happening:
    1. When syncing, all the fields do not get transferred to the phone. If the Outlook contact has Business, Home and Moble phone numbers, shouldn't I see all three of those in the contact on the phone? This is not happening.
    2. I then updated a single contact's phone number in Outlook, performed a sync, and nothing was updated.
Any responses to this issue will be grately appreciated!
One more question too, there is no place that I could easily find a phone/USB cable compatibility chart on the website. I have a DKU-5 cable from an older phone and was hoping it would work with my new 6126 phone. Any thoughts?
    Thanks!
    Jeff Tolman

The European PC Suite compatibility table here does not list the 6126:
    http://www.nokia.com/A4423033
Nor does this one for the USA:
    http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410034
Both do list 6125 and CA-53 compatibility for that one. Perhaps the 6126 is a close relative: http://forum.nokia.com/devices/6126
    http://forum.nokia.com/devices/6125
If the CA-53 works, then a DKU-2 will work, too. However, a DKU-5 won't (the DKU-5 and CA-42 are for phones without true built-in USB support, so those cables have electronics that make the serial port support on the phone work with USB).

  • All episodes don't show up in Grid view

I've got 20 seasons of Top Gear all converted and waiting to be added to iTunes. They exist on my external HD, so when I drag them in to iTunes I hold in Alt/Option, so they stay there.
If I drag in the folders for seasons 1 through 13, all episodes show up, and if I select the show in iTunes I see "tabs/buttons" for Season 1, Season 2, etc etc.  Pic here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2213114/2013-08-23_18-05-00.jpg
However if I drag season 1 through 14 (or more), only season 1 shows up in iTunes grid view.  However all episodes/season show up in List view, and all are available on my Apple TV.
If I drag just, say, season 14 through 20, they add fine.  But if I then add 1 through 13, again only 1 season shows in Grid view.
In all cases the correct number of "New" episodes shows on the blue banner on the cover (i.e "99+").
Top Gear generally has about 6 to 10 episodes per season.
I have exactly the same problem with The Simpsons.
All my other shows added fine.  Just The Simpsons and Top Gear had issues.  I doubt it's a co-incidence those are the only 2 shows I have with hundreds of episodes and 20+ seasons each.  It's almost as if iTunes has some kind of limit…
    Running iTunes 11.0.5 and OS X 10.8.4.

Your website has a link to a feed at
    http://feeds2.feedburner.com/CrossCultureCalvaryChapelPodcast?format=xml
This feed contains the itunes:new-feed-url tag, forwarding to a feed at
    http://calvarychapel.nl/index.php?option=comsermonspeaker&task=podcast&feed=RSS2.0&nohtml=1
This latter feed is what is being used when you click on the 'subscribe' button in the iTunes Store, and the result matches the feed. (The list you have under 'Podcasts' in your own iTunes application probably includes earlier episodes: removing them from the feed doesn't remove them once downloaded, but the removed episodes don't show for new subscribers).
However, the iTunes Store page lists 114 episodes, the last being 28-3-09, thus not showing later additions, and shows earlier episodes present in neither feed. Therefore the page has the correct feed link for subscribers but itself has not updated since March - since when you have changed the URL and deleted earlier episodes. Why this should be I can't say: there is usually a delay before changes show, but only a day or two. It's peculiar that it should have failed to update the Store page but has the correct link on the 'Subscribe' button, and I can only suggest you try contacting Support:
