ITunes Producer "you have unsaved changes to Untitled.itmsp"
Hi all
I'm trying to load a book /EPUB via iTunes Producer and aftr entering allt he info it says "You have unsaved changes to Untitled.itmsp" on the Delivery page and I cannot submit the book.
I have no idea what that file is - can anyone help please?

I puzzled over the same error message too. But the answer is ridiculously simple.
You have to save your work before you can deliver.
Hit Cmnd+S to save, or Cmnd+D to save and deliver (it's in the File menu). Then Untitled gets given the unique ID you've given it: in my case it's the ISBN. I don't have enough experience to know what else might be used. And, showing its iTunes heritage, the file is stored in your Music folder by default, under iTunes Producer. I don't know if this setting can be changed.

My machine has been phased out and updating the OS will happen when ache e elel freezes.
So, I followed what other people did when receiving this error and saved my file. I exported the saved file to my desktop as an Ibooks file. I then attempted to upload the saved file and this still pops up on my screen. How do I get rid of this errorwithout needing to buy a new machine? Or, do all Macbooks eventually become landfill lessees for a producer? Your help is appreciated.Software glitches such as this do not warrant disposal of the computer - so the landfill problem is averted.
I notice in the image that the itmsp number is a copy - I say this because I have never seen any items number ending -1 - which is ( to me) a sign that this is a copy made either during a transfer or intentionally.
iTunesProducer will not recognise this - because its not the same number which it created during the first upload.
I suggest you delete the "-1" from the itmsp number and double click it to open iTP or open iTP and copy and paste the number.
Check the file content in full - which means you may have to add the screenshots and book files - then save it.
Another interpretation.... the file cannot be moved because it does not exist - and what you are seeing is a link - although there should have been a curved arrow as seen on all alias links.
BTW if you consider that updates or a computer crash threatens your book files.... its wise to save a copy of the iBA file - the book in progress in iBA - NOT the exported version which cannot be opened in iBA. -

VIs that are never called or changed but always have "unsaved" changes
I have a large project. Whenever I close it, I always get a pop-up telling me that the same 7 sub-VIs have unsaved changes. I have not edited or changed these VIs in over a year. They are called by sections of the program that are conditionally disabled at the moment! I get this pop-up warning even when the last thing I did before closing the project was save every VI that is open.
The only clue I have to offer is that these 7 VIs are the only ones in the project that directly talk (via ethernet) to a motion controller. Is internet activity on my computer while I am working on the project causing these VIs to think that they have been modified??

If you open one of these VIs and look at the "lilst unsaved changes" of the VI properties, what does it say?

I try to open iphoto and it comes up with You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto. I have downloaded photo manager and it's telling me to update but it wont update...
iPhoto is Apple's included program to manage your photo's and pictures.
It receives updates over time with Software updates and new machine or iLife purchases.
When iPhoto gets updated or a newer version is used, it may alter iPhoto support files, but newer iPhoto versions usually always compatible with older files which it then updates.
If you used a newer iPhoto on your iPhoto support files, then they got altered to the newer format, older iPhoto versions can't read the older format.
Somewhere along the line you somehow got a older version of iPhoto on your computer, you need to fine the newer version of iPhoto (not this photo manager, sounds like another program)
Or somewhere along the line you used a newer iPhoto version (like on another Mac) and it altered the iPhoto support files on your older version of iPhoto.
So the key here is to find the newest version of iPhoto and use that to access your iPhoto support files.
If you didn't access your iPhoto support files from another Mac, then you should have the newer iPhoto version on your computer.
Once you find it, and get it in the Dock, you should remove the older iPhoto version from your computer to prevent this from happening again.
Lastly, if the newer version of iPhoto is somehow gone off your computer, you should be able to get a copy off the latest OS X install disk or iLife using a free program called Pacifist.

My phone is not showing up in itunes. I want to sync it. I have a MAC and I have restarted the phone, it's charged, I have the most current version of itunes. What do I do now? It says to reinstall itunes if you have windows but not for mac. Help!
With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

I would like to take a iTunes play list and put it on a USB drive for my car radio to stay in my car. Is there a way to do this through iTunes so you have all the song info and there's no number in front of the name of the song? Is there a program?
iTunes only syncs to Apple devices.
Assuming the media is not DRM protected, any of the media can be dragged and dropped from iTunes onto other drives (external, flash, etc) as the user chooses. -
When opening the version of Iphoto i have an error message appears that says; You can't open your current iphoto library using this version of Iphoto. You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iphoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iphoto. What? If I can't open the current library using the latest version of iphoto, and I am asked to make changes the the newest version!!! I'm asked to run in circles chasing my tail...I had a new hard drive installed about 6 weeks ago. I am running MAC OS 10.5.8
What version of iPhoto do you have? If you're on 10.5 then you're not running the latest iPhoto
Any chance that the library was opened with another version?
Simplest solution will be to just restore from your back up. -

If so, as your post isn't clear, it may be a bogus message caused by a corrupt database.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

After I installed the iLife software, I cannot access iPhoto. I made sure that I am updated to the newest iPhoto. It gives me the following message:
"You can't open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto."
You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Do you want to quit and use the latest version of iPhoto, or do you want to create a new photo library?
What do I need to do?

Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library' and start.

Opening iphoto I get an error message that says "you can't open your current photo library using this version of iphoto. You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iphoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iphoto." I wouldn't have a clue as to how to change to a new version of iphoto even if I wanted to.
If you don't have a backup you can resort to give this a try:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Is it possible to change just the ram on the motherboard (G5) or do you have to change the whole motherboard?
I do understand that... but this is the problem - The computer freezes when it is put to sleep (and sometimes more frequently). Apple told me that it could be three things: ram, hard drive or the motherboard. - take the ram out and then put the computer to sleep, if it still freezes than it is one of the other two and not the ram. They told me that there is ram on the motherboard. So I tried that and the computer wouldn't even boot up. So I thought the problem is the motherboard and possibly the ram on the motherboard. I really have no idea what I am doing, I just don't want to have to throw a $3,500 (when new) computer away.

How do I delete files on my iPod second gen? This is a NEW problem I have only had with the latest version of iTunes. I have not changed libraries. All files are grayed out. I have already read related posts in the iTunes community.
Thanks but I had already read this, and it was no help at all. Under the Summary tab, "Options", there is no check-box to manually manage my stuff. I suspect this is because it is a 2nd gen iPod, with ONLY manual management. The only way to delete my stuff seems to be to reset the entire device.
I like to listen to podcasts. What is particularly frustrating is that the 4th gen shuffle CANNOT play podcasts, but ONLY music, which I discovered after a lot of research and multiple visits to an Apple store. So I have to resort to an older version of the shuffle to play podcasts And now with the latest version of iTunes there seems to be no way to delete any podcasts on the older version. Apple just makes it harder and harder for us podcast-lovers, driving us away from Apple -- driving me away from the entire brand and from ALL Apple devices, not just iPod. -
I just reinstalled and this is the pop up that shows "You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Do you want to quit and use the latest version of iPhoto, or do you want to create a new photo library?" what do i do next? it just keeps popping up and loading but only gives a quit button?

How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store
If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store
Otherwise you update via Softare Update
