ITunes Shuts down if I click any folder in the Library

Question

I've searched the forumns thoroughly and have found many people with a "shut down" problem, however none specific to mine. iTunes version 7.0 shuts down automatically when i click on any of the folders in the Library category. I get no error message of any type. It takes nearly four or five reopens after the shutdown for me to able to access my music, movie or podcast library. Extremely frustrating. Any fixes????

sounds a bit drastic but....you could erase all media from itunes ( not your pc/mac  ) then reload your library. this type of thing happens when you re-organise where your media is stored and then moved say to merge two mis-spelt prince folders into one properly but now different folder in roughly the same but not exactly the same place. ive done this a few times, im a bit sad about renaming music folders properly if i find them only to see itunes look past them because its looking for the original media files in the original folder/place...hope this helps a bit
