Itunes stopped erasing played episodes

After the newest update Itunes does not delete episodes that have been played or marked as played. I checked the settings and found that now they are supposed to be deleted 24 hours after having been played, but this will not happen anyway.
Also; I found that there is some missing piece of settings that might have to do something with this issue. Be fore, when right-clicking on the podcast there was an opton that went something like: "allow played being deleted" and "do not allow played being deleted". This had to be set for each podcast once, and then the automatic deletion would work. However; now this options are missing.
I hope someone can help, because this automated erasing feature for podcast episodes was the most important thing for me with using iTunes.

my itunes has suddenly stopped playing the next song automatically. I missed have accidentally clicked something in the settings but i can't work out. So now i have to press play everytime for the next song. Humble apologies if i have missed something obvious.

whats happened is all the songs are missing checkmarks beside them, you have to put a check mark beside them.
The exact key combo I don't remeber rightnow but I think its something like holding shift/ctrl then checking one song checks all the others in the list

Itunes 7 not playing episodes correctly

How can I get the TV episodes that I recently purchased to play correctly? Right now they play very choppy and jumpy.

Thank GOD I am not the only one. I have an eMac and a MacBook, the eMac upgraded just fine, but the MacBook won't. I tried re-installing and everything.
I can listen to audio of other things, like TV shows that I've bought so far, but no audio files will play by themselves. I tried calling AppleCare, but they're out for the night... ugh. PLEASE post if you have a clue how to fix this. I'm a music teacher and use this computer everyday... I'm lost....

TV show downloaded from iTunes stops intermittently playing

It is doing my head in TV shows that I have downloaded from iTunes intermittently stops whilst viewing them through Apple TV. I have tried everything from unplugging Apple TV, Checking WIFI connection & speed , not sure what else to do as it is right beside the modem so should work perfectly. I have made sure it isn't sitting on anything that would interfere.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Try connecting via ethernet
To see a status of your network go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report. Look for signal strength, noise, Nearby networks

Why does my itunes stop after playing only a few songs?

I connected a seagate external memory to my mac mini. My itunes is there. Would changing the location help? nad if so, how can I do that without losing all the songs?

iTunes is not fully functional when operating in Safe Mode, so its possible that the component that supports Audible content is not running. If iTunes will only run in Safe Mode then there's an issue with your installation - see Turingtest2's tutorial Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates, in particular the section on removing all components of iTunes before installing the latest version.
I have Audible .aa files on a 2nd gen iPod Nano so there shouldn't be an issue with age ...

ITunes won't play songs or videos!

Hi guys, I just installed iTunes 7.0. Before that I had the must up to date version of 6. Somewhere along the line when I still had version 6.X, iTunes stopped properly playing video. I could either see nothing, or see one scene, and the audio sounded like it was skipping. I could still play songs fine though. After installing the new iTunes, I cannot play video or song files. Whenever I attempt to, I basically just hear the skipping "broken record" sound. I have other media players on my computer, but I set up iTunes to be the primary player. my ipod still plays songs fine.
If anyone can help, please reply! I'm lost.

make sure you have the latest sound driver for your sound card
reinstall quick time
check in the sounds and audio devices in the control pannel under the audio tab that your sound card is set to the default sound playback device

The "Tools" are in the old drop down menu, which are not shown by default in the new Firefox Design. To show this menu:
Firefox Menu > Customize
On the bottom left there will be Show/Hide Toolbars. The Menu will be listed here.

Hi,
As you have match, I suggest that you create a new library by holding ctrl whist launching iTunes. Select create new library. Sign into iTunes Store and activate match. You will now have access to your music and will be able to stream your music.
Options : get a new external drive formatted for mac and either download music from match or copy music from old drive to new one. Alternatively you could reformat old drive and download music from match - I would not be comfortable using this option as it means erasing drive before being able to use with mac.

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK.
Quit the QuickTime Player if you have it open. Restart the PC and try watching the videos in iTunes again. Do they play now?

ITunes doesn't play the next song, it just stops after one track.

I have iTunes 11.0.1. When I play a song in my playlist, I expect the next song to start as the first one ends, but iTunes stops and doesn't play the next song. I'm missing some sort of setting but what?
It's not a smart playlist, just a playlist of favorite music I've built up over the years.

Have the tracks become unchecked? iTunes will skip unchecked tracks, so if they're all unchecked, iTunes will play one and then stop. If this is indeed the case, re-checkmark the tracks - Command-click will select or unselect them all - and you should then have continuous playback.

Clicked on the episodes and the same message popped up. How do I get these to play? I also see my download box with an error message saying it has paused the download. I click unpause and it just pauses again. I have been able to get one of the episodes to play once through, but now it gives me the same message.

It's been months, so you may not care anymore, but you can't download songs from multiple Apple IDs over a 90 days period. Sorry, it's not allowed for legal reasons.

I've had this from new for 2 years, the battery life is excellent and lasts for days so I know it's not a power issue as it was fully charged that morning. No signs of connection in itunes, it's not showing as a connected device.
Can anyone please help?

As long as you use your computer like King Penguin stated for Report a Problem, you should be fine. If you can't get to your computer, are not using your computer, or your computer is not longer in the mix since you have been using your iPad, email iTunes support about the problem.

Try this. It worked for a few users after a drop.
Turn the iPad over and give it a very HARD slap on the back. May take several slaps.
