  • ITunes 12 crashes when accessing the store

I installed Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1. Since then, it crashes when accessing the store (wolor wheel)
I re-installed iTunes. It works with my Library when my iMac is disconnected from the net, but as soon as iTunes tries to access the store and refresh iTunes Match… Bang. It freezes again and I have to re-install it (it freezes again when I restart, even when disconnected).
Ho can I solve this, please ?

I was having the same issue. iTunes Match had little or none to do with it. Basically anything that required logging into the store (I needed to re auth). Frustrating because iTunes now makes you use your apple id for the tiniest little tasks, and worse yet, it shows logged in, but it really isn't. Anytime I tried to authenticate it would time out and then cause iTunes and a library file to not respond, causing me to force quit. I did notice my wireless connection was suffering. I rebooted my router and tried again, voila! connected and authorized! no time outs! iTunes 12.0.1.26 seems to be a little sensitive to weak connections?

  • Adobe Flash Player wont work after all steps taken, what haven't I done to make it work?

I tried to play a game I love & I got this message: "To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.0 or greater is installed" So I went to your site to update my flash player & hit the "Test Flash Player" button & it came up
like this^^. I went to the suggestions your site provided & went to Manage add-ons to look for Shockwave Flash Object to enable it:
You can see that it is enabled by this picture I have provided. So it also asks me to make sure that ActiveX isn't clicked on & so I did:
As you can see it's turned off & I even tried it the other way where it has the spot checked & it still wont play. So I decided to see if I could reinstall it onto my computer & so in turn I got this message:
That is the message I got even after trying to delete Flash Player & reinstalling it. Now you can see my frustration with all this. Adobe Flash Player wont work after all steps taken, what haven't I done to make it work? I have a Windows 8.1 Pro, I use Internet Explorer which has the latest version on it, which is Windows Explorer 11 Version: 11.0.9600.17498 & I was also under the understanding that I also had the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on this computer as well. Can someone tell me what to do??

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

  • I'm using Tiger 10.4.11, I had to wipe my drive an reload my whole operating  system recently, now my Itunes does not work, it says It's version 4, what the heck is version 4, where can I get a compatible version that works, and accesses the store like I

I'm using Tiger 10.4.11 and had to wipe my drive and reload my system from the install discs yesterday,
Now I'm running Itunes version 4!  It won't let me access the store, I've tried everything on the help pages,
EVERYTHING, I need a older version of Itunes, but not as old as version 4, which, no, it will not upgrade
automatically for me, it says no upgrade available.  Why does Mac not support older versions of
its operating systems, why do they make it so hard to find help for those system users other than
the money of course, but have you seen the stock lately?  They got enough money.

Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

The loading bar gets about 90% loaded and then I recieve an "iTunes has stopped working" message form windows and am forced to close the program. I've tried a few things from the support communities, but nothing seems to help, so I'm hoping someone even more tech savy than me can figure this out.

  • Why iTunes 10 crashes when accessing the iTunes Store?

iTunes 10 is local working well after starting. I can play all my music, videos , etc. When I like to access the iTunes store iTunes crashes without any warning.
What can I do, to fix the probleme?
    Thanks in advance.

I am running iTunes 10.1.2 on Mac OS 10.6.6
All my home sharing is turned off as is Genius (which was causing crashes on startup). I don't share my library. In fact I'm pretty sure I've turned off as much as I can.
If I access the iTunes store, iTunes crashes.
If I run Genius, iTunes crashes
Sometimes if I plug in my iPhone, iTunes crashes (I think it's going out to the network to find updates)
If I download a podcast or subscribe to a new podcast iTunes works OK.
If I turn off my network iTunes runs fine.
It seems that whenever iTunes talks to Apple's servers it crashes.
Here's what was posted to /var/log/system.log when iTunes crashed trying to access the iTunes store:

  • ITunes 10.6.1 crashes when accessing the store

Every time I try to access the store or turn on genius or do anything besides listen to music, iTunes immediately crashes. There appears to be a lot of discussions going on about this problem with previous versions...none of which have a solution. So I'm trying to start a new thread and hopefully get the right person's attention on this frustrating problem!

  • ITunes shut down when opening the store?

I updated to the new iTunes on my windows 7 PC and now every time I try to open the iTunes store I get an error message that windows will close the program and notify me of a solution.
iTunes has stopped working, only when I try to access the store.

  • My itunes software crashes when accessing the music downloads. I use window 8.1

Is there a fix for itunes crashing when accessing the music download. I use windows 8.1?

  • We have three different logins or accounts on our computer.  In the administrator's login, iTunes loads, syncs, and accesses the store fine.  On my two kids' logins, however, loading, syncing and acessing the store takes exponentially longer.  Any ideas?

We have three different logins or user accounts on our comoputer.  In the administrators' login, we have no trouble opening iTunes, syncing the iPod or accessing the store.  However, in my two kids' logins, getting iTunes to recognize the device, sync it, or access the store takes exponentially longer.
Does anyone have similiar trouble with this, and if so, do you have any suggestions?

I think this is an excellent indicator that not only is Palm reviewing the feedback from the support forums here, but actively reviewing feedback/comments/wishes on other sites as well.
As the original poster copied this (quite solid, IMO) wishlist from Pre Central, the palm support staff acknowledged first seeing it there.

  • Itunes crash on startup or when accessing the store

    Hi,
    I upgraded to iTunes 12.0.1.26 from iTunes 11.1.1.11 on a win7 sp1 system.
When I start Itunes, it crashes after a few seconds "iTunes has stopped working...".
    Log Name:      Application
    Source:        Application Error
    Date:          14/01/2015 05:46:13
    Event ID:      1000
    Task Category: (100)
    Level:         Error
Faulting application name: iTunes.exe, version: 12.0.1.26, time stamp: 0x543e558b
Faulting module name: WebKit.dll, version: 7537.60.17.14, time stamp: 0x53da8e3b
I have since then uninstalled all iTunes ansd Apple related software as instructed in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates (uninstall, reboot, regclean, check for remnants and delete them, reboot, reinstall) without any luck.
Removing the iTunes preference files as instructed in iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues - Apple Support seemed to allow me to start the application but as soon I try to access the iTunes store or log in, the application crashes again.
    I'm out of ideas.

    Update:
after once more removing all installed Apple products I deleted all folders in c:\programm file (x86)\; c:\users\user\AppData\ etc. that had anything "Apple" or "iTunes" in them ( Apple, Apple Computer etc). Additionally, I renamed any iTunes folder I could find in my media folders.
So far, I was able to start iTunes 12 and sign in to the iTunes store. I de-authorised all computers and authorised the machine I am sitting at. No crashes yet.
Now I just need to read up on how to import the music, apps, books and movies I purchased a while back.

  • Itunes 11 crashes when accessing the itunes store

When I upgraded to iTunes 11, it started crashed every time I accessed the iTunes Store.  After doing some searching, I decided to try resetting TCPIP on my Windows 8 PC.  Right after I did that, iTunes started accessing the iTunes Store immediately up startup, so it crashed immediately.  My fix was to uninstall everything Apple related and delete the plist preference files.  I also moved my library to a NAS device (not sure if that was necessary or not but at this point I'm scared to move it back).  Then I restarted and installed iTunes 10.7.  I had to recreate may library and I don't have any playlists (but I assume I can import them back in).  In this whole process when I tried to log in to this community site I found out that I needed to update my password.  Not sure if that was related or not.  Also, I tried going back to version 11 and it started crashing immediately, so I went back through the steps and 10.7 is working.  I haven't tried to access the iTunes store yet, though.

OK.  I went to version 11 again and my crashing problem returned.  iTunes crashes immediately when it opens.  I turned off my wireless connection and restarted iTunes.  It gave me an error that it couldn't connect to the store twice (even though I wasn't trying to browse the store).  After that, it worked fine.  So, now I can at least use iTunes without it crashing.  If I try to go to the store, it crashes again.  So, I'm making progress.  There must be something between Windows 8 and iTunes 11 that causes issues.  It worked fine on this laptop after I did the update while I was at work today, but doesn't work at home, so I'm wondering if this has something to do with profiles.  I'm pretty sure it isn't my firewall, but it could have something to do with my user profile or Windows security settings that change when I am at home versus when I'm at work.

  • ITunes stops responding when switching between stores

Since the update to 10.5.3.3, I have been experiencing a long wait-time to switch between different nations' iTunes Stores that was not evident in the previous version. Multiple times this morning, iTunes has simply stopped responding as the switch occurs. I was just shutting down the program before, but I let it sit there and it took around 5 minutes to go from one country's store to another, when it took only moments before this update. I do not know if this is only an issue because I recently updated and have not restarted, if it is only affecting Windows users, or if it is a bug that needs to be fixed. What is going on and what should fix things?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime.
I have set Norton Personal Firewall to allow all access for Itunes and Quicktime
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Itunes.
Basically, if I do anything, Itunes stops responding. Can anyone help?

  • My volume is not working when on the ringer what do I do

My iPhone volume is not working when I have the volume set on. It will work with the headphones but other then that nothing. What's going on with it?

supposedly from what I have read it is a software issue. I actually am also having this problem it worked after I performed a full reset,  but now it has started again tomorrow I am going to the apple store to find out what I can do as I bought my 4s right before the 5 was released.
