ITunes Synch: 'x' items could not synch. See iTunes

I'm baffled. I get the msg when I synch my iphone with my MAC that reads on my iPhone: "iTunes Synch: 'x' items could not synch. See iTunes for more info."
I look in iTunes to see where that info may be, but am unable to find the info. I use 'x' to indicate a random number because the number is almost never the same. SO what am I looking for or how do I find this supposed info?

As far as I can tell, if you go to iTunes, right click your device in the lefthand panel, and click "Reset Warnings." That's what it took on mine to list the items that didn't copy to the phone. Hope that helps. =/

  • I am constantly told by Itunes that 107 items are not synching from my contacts. This is a message from the Conflict Resolver that appears whenever I synch. I try to resolve the synch and a text message pops up telling me it could not find the synch serve

I am constantly told by Itunes that 107 items are not synching from my Ipod Touch to/from Outlook Contacts. I try to resolve the issue and eventually a message pops up saying it could not be completed because it could not find the sync server. This started after one of the updates a couple of months ago. If anyone has found a similar problem and resolved it I would appreciate any assistance.

  • Itunes sync: 44 items could not be synced see itunes for more information

I have an Iphone 4s, itunes lates version 10.5.1.42 running on 32 bit widows 7 pro.
I was having problems with my music playing on my phone after upgrading from the 4 to the 4s.
My music would just refuse to play at times. One solution I tried was to go into the music tab of my iphone in itunes and uncheck "sync music" in order to remove musice completely; then to recheck it and resync music......my resynced music plays fine, the PROBLEM is itunes refused to sync any of purchased music that i purchased on my prior device!!  My phone displays this error: "itunes sync 44 items could not be synced see itunes for more information" yet itunes displays no messages -
I've tried to individually select these songs, albums - make additional playlists...nothing works.
    Please help asap.

Were they purchased with the SAME Apple ID you have registered the phone with?

  • When syncing my iPhone with iTunes, I get the error, "some items did not sync, see itunes for help", but can't find any helps for this in iTunes. Where can I find out what is not syncing?

When syncing my iPhone with my iPhone, I get a message that 2 items did not sync - use iTunes for help.
But I can't find any help information in iTunes at all, let alone when items are not syncing.
How do I figure out what is not syncing?

Since it seems App related, I'm not sure what to offer you.  I guess the only suggestion I have is for you to reboot your iPad and then try again.  To reboot, hold the power and home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds (keep holding past the swipe to shut down bar if it appears) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You won't lose any settings or data, so it's worth a shot.

and then I press ok and it says:

Apple appears to be having trouble with the iTunes Store servers right now. Wait for them to fix it.

  • ITunes error message: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (4002). Any suggestions for curing this?

After migrating my old iMac to my new one, every time I start iTunes, I get the following message: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (4002). Any suggestions for curing this?

    Perfect - thanks so much!
For anyone else wondering, the clue was in what was displayed on the screen after I turned iTunes Match on again: it asked whether I wanted to add this computer. Having copied my iTunes library over from the old machine, I'd completely forgotten that iTunes Match identifies each computer uniquely (not each iTunes Library), so was never going to work with this one until I specifically added it. Sorted!

  • HT203180 iTunes Sync: 792 items could not be synced! See iTunes for more info - it's the first time I get this on iPhone and iPad after adding pictures to my library on PC/Win7. Can anybody help please. Thx Vincent

I always proceeded the same way. I cannot find the message in iTunes and do not know how to solve. Can someone help please?

You said pictures. Do you have them in iphoto, and then sync with iTunes? That should make them appear in your iPhone, check the Photos page in iTunes for the settings.
Space: when each photo is 5MB only, the 792 is already 4GB !

Basically, logout of your Apple ID. Quit App Store. Logout of your mac, log back in. Login to Apple ID, and enjoy downloads.

  • I believe it's a bug: How do I fix the 'items could not be synced. See iTunes' issue on iPhone?

    Hello,
I've read previous discussions that are marked as fixing this issue, tried them, and they didn't work. Including deleting the cache.
Everyday I've synced my iPhone since the iOS 5 update, I've had this alert: '54 items could not be synced. See iTunes...'
When I go to iTunes, no clue, no buttons, etc..
I do know now what items those are, by sheer coincidence.
I clicked the triangle near my iPhone device in iTunes and saw 4 greyed out items under Television. They were 4 tv shows I had purchased and then deleted from my iPhone. I never synced them with my desktop. Yet the device is trying to sync something that supposedly has been deleted.
So then I clicked in Rentals, and there are 50 items greyed out. All Rentals I watched through my iPhone since I've purchased it. They get deleted after 48hrs you've started watching. Desktop is trying to sync those as well. Even though they also have been deleted from my iPhone.
So now I know what those 54 items that cannot not be synced came from, but not how to fix it.

I updated to iOS 5.0.1 days ago and didn't receive that notification until just now...
This time I synced new photos I took yesterday, and it gave me the:
"iTunes Sync: 54 items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information"
Perhaps it kicks off when new items get synced.
I've decided to rent a movie yesterday. Once it gets deleted, I'm curious to see if it jumps to 55 items.

  • 1 item could not be synced. See iTunes for more information

After syncing  my iphone 4 ios 5 with itunes the following message appears ''1 item could not be synced. See iTunes for more information''.
Everything seems to be synced however is there a way to find any information that itunes could not sync?

This might not work for everybody, but... I noticed that right before the sync chokes, iTunes is processing photos. Likely, I figured, there's a discrepancy in what iTunes thinks is there and what actually is. An effective way to solve this issue (without obvious help from Apple / iTunes / iOS) is to remove the 'iPod Photo Cache' folder that's within the iPhoto Library on your synching system.
So, on my Mac, I navigated to my Pictures folder, right-clicked (or Control-clicked) the 'iPhoto Library' icon, selected 'Show Package Contents,' then scrolled until I saw the 'iPod Photo Cache' folder, selected that folder and deleted it. I then restarted iTunes to re-initiate a sync.
That seemed to resolve the "[n] tems could not be synced. See iTunes for more information." problem for me (which was occurring on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S equally). Might work for you, too.

  • Items could not be synched

I get this message when I synch my iPhone5 with my MacBook; "* items could not be synched. See iTunes for more information". I cannot see anywhere on iTunes to get that information so cannot tell what is not being synched and why. Any ideas?

What items are not synced to your device? If apps, check the iOS specs for the apps. If music or video data, make sure it can be played on the iPhone:

  • "Itunes sync. 55 items could not be synced. See itunes for more information

I am having problems syncing songs from cds onto my ipod from itunes.
I upload a cd onto my itunes account and it clearly works there and plays but when I plug in my ipod and click and drag the songs onto my device, itunes makes a weird noise and a message shows up on my ipod saying “Itunes sync. 56 items could not be synced. See itunes for more information” And, of course, there’s never anything on itunes to help me.
Last time I did this, three of the 25 songs from the cd I wanted synced played on my ipod, and none of the others. Sometimes, if I do this enough, over the course of a few weeks, I can get the whole CD onto my ipod.
The weirdest part is that the songs show up on my Ipod, but they are shaded over almost and cannot be played. It’s irritating.
My Ipod is 4G and is in need of the latest update, but last time I updated my Ipod, all the songs were deleted and I had to resync all of them…so you can see why I’m hesitant to do this.
My Itunes on the other hand, is all up to date.
I just want my music please!

Were they purchased with the SAME Apple ID you have registered the phone with?
