ITunes transferred playlists grayed out and not working

OK so I've transferred my old iTunes files from the old computer to the new one. iTunes is now correctly displaying all of my playlists however they are grayed out and I can't access any of the songs. Anyone know why?

Restrictions was on in my iPod. As soon as I turned that off, every was good to go.

Reset the SMC. Check the Audio Midi Setup utility. If connected to an external display that has audio, that may have hijacked the audio.

Greyed imaged in the Import dialog box mean you have already imported the photos into Lightroom, so there is no need and no benefit to importing them a second time.
Just go to the Library module, search for the desired photos, and resume working on these photos.

If you are syncing music to the iPhone automatically, you won't be able to drag and drop tracks on to the iPhone and the music will be grayed out.
You'll have to Manually Manage the music.
Configure iPhone, iPad, or iPod for manual management
If you have iTunes 7 or later*, follow these instructions:
Connect the device to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select iPhone, iPad, or iPod in the Devices list.
Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos".
Click Apply.
Even when you have enabled manual management, you can still sync some content automatically. Select any content tab, such as Video, to enable automatic syncing for that type of content.

Extension manager "install extension" is grayed-out, and not functional

I paid for the Horizontal Menu Advancer, and downloaded it. This a a Dreamweaver extension. Then I downloaded Adobe Extension Manager CS6.
From the "File" menu of Extension Manager "Install Extension" is grayed-out, and does not function.

Get / Put commands in site drop down menu greyed out and not working

About a year ago my get and put commands greyed out and stopped working. I called my webhost and they were no help, they did say that they moved my site to a new (linux) server about the same time. I have applied all the correct settings on my configure server window and when I hit test it connects successfully.
I have been posting over the last year using Firefox FTP but am making quite a few changes and it's making me crazy going back and forth. Anyone have any ideas?

Closing this question out, the MacBook reverted to normal behavior sometime since I posted the problem and this post. No clue why.

ITunes 7 Podcasts grayed out and unchecked

Can't figure this at all. I have podcasts set to download manually and Shuffle set to not autoload. I installed the upgrade over the weekend and all worked on Monday as expected.
Today I manually downloaded podcasts and they show as grayed out with no checkmark. I can't listen to them nor transfer to the Shuffle.

I also have the same issue- on occasion, when I open iTunes, and go do something else, then come back a little later, this issue tends to show up.
I have a substription to a podcast that requires a password- that box always pops up first- I think, but am not sure that this problem occurs when the box asking for the password isn't acknowledged right away.
Those podcasts not requiring passwords all appear to have downloaded, but are gray [instead of black], have no checkmark, can not be played in iTunes, but are in the appropriate podcast folder AND can be played locally by WinAmp.
Does anyone have any answers?!?!?!?!?!?

I upgated my Firefox and neither Firefox or IE can use the Proxie server and the sceen to set up the Proxie server is grayed out and not changable.

I am using windows 7 and have used Firefox many years the last time I upgraded I could not connect to the World Wide Web sites but the direct connect sites ie. LOTRO work fine. Internet Explorer comes up with a "proxy server is not responding" and dose not load the page. When I follow the instructions to change the proxy server settings the page to do that all of the proxy buttons and wording is grayed out, not changeable. The other computers in the house work fine. The Upgrade of Firefox seem to corrupted the program for the proxy control.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You should check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
You do the network.proxy settings show on the <b>about:config</b> page?
network.proxy.type
network.proxy.http
network.proxy.http_port
Do they show as locked (italic)?

Cannot convert to ACC grayed out will not work!!

Im about to rewind to itunes 7 because I cannot convertor crteate an ACC file. I've changed the encoder to ACC, I've selected the file and when I go to advanced the convert to ACC is grayed out. Current file is MPEG any ideas on why it's not popping up so that I can do it?? Read all the other posts did everything everyone else says they did but Convert to ACC still remains grayed out. Until I updated to this latest version I had no problems what gives??? Any ideas out there?

I have tried everything to fix the wifi dimed switch has anyone actually found a resolution, I'm not trying that stupid freezer or hair drying trick because thats just stupid....

You most likely have a failure of the WiFi chip.
Restore the phone as a new device. If that doesn't solve your problem, you'll have to bring your phone to Apple for replacement. If you are not within the warranty period, expect to pay $199 for out of warranty replacement.

Are you seeing your music listed in the iPod screen, or in Win explorer as in your earlier post?
I can see all the songs in my Edrive>al's Ipod> Ipod Control> Music folder.
A corrupted iPod database, will report zero music used, and have your music size reported as others, so you wont see the music in the iPod screen. Sorry, I thought there was some hope for you with iPodAccess, in recovery of the corrupted iPod database with your ratings.
You can try to borrow and use the Mac Disk Utility ->First Aid ->Repair.
Of course, if your iPod Hardisk is in a bad state, from the Disk Diagnostic report, then all my suggestion are futile.

Toolbar options are all greyed out and not working

in trying all the suggestions to fix back button and bookmarks, now my toolbar now longer works at all. it's like the whole system is disintegrating. i have tried all the solutions for back button and toolbar. all those published. no go.
now the whole program is nonfunctional with greyed out toolbar options.
apparently you can't delete firefox and reload and older version? i have 3.5.18.

If you've restored your phone as NEW and the problems persists, then you have a hardware failure. You'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

ITunes ID - tried to change and not working!

I have tried to change my wives iTunes ID recently and its presented a few problems - hopefully someone can help.
We recently got married which resulted in a change of email address and I've tried to update her iTunes ID to reflect this.
Her previous ID was a "[email protected]", but considering her change of name I needed to change the "XXXXXXXX" part but also decided to switch her to an "@me.com" account at the same time.
I appear to have created the "@me.com" account ok, and have previously sent and received a test email from her account. However, when I now try to log in I get the follwong message on the iCloud homepage; "Account not verified: Check your email at [email protected] for instructions on how to validate your account"
The problem I have is that the email address it's telling me to check does not exist because it has the new "XXXXXXX" part but its at "@ymail.com" making it impossible to check and verify.
When logging in to iTunes, she enters the "[email protected]" ID but once logged in the ID that appears at the top right of the screen is the new "XXXXXXXX" part but "@ymail.com"
In addition to this (and I'm not sure if this is connected), when she tries to log in to the iTunes store it takes her straight to the page to verify her payment, and despite her Visa card having no issues, it tells her the card has been declined. Hopefully this is not related and is just a technical glitch with iTunes at the moment.
If anyone can help with the ID issues I'm having, it would be very much appreciated.
