ITunes Update Version 7.4.1

I am having difficulty with installing iTunes version 7.4.1. I get the message "downloaded successfully" but when i attempt to install, the items dissapear, and i get the error message "iTunes encountered a problem and needs to close". any suggesstions on a possible fix?

Use the information in the following Apple support document to completely uninstall all iTunes application components. You do not need to do anything with your music or video files.
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93698
Then, download iTunes from the following link and reinstall.

After installing the most recent iTunes update/version iTunes will no longer run on my PC (Windows 7).  I receive multiple error windows with the Microsoft error code R6034.  Microsoft's Help site states that this error occurs when a driver attempts to access the C++ library without a "Manifest".  I do not know what a manifest is, but apparently any attempt to directly access the C++ library is not permitted.  The site instructs the viewer to contact the application developer.

  • ITunes update Version 6.0.3.5-Having Problems

I updated iTunes to the current version, 6.0.3.5 and am now have serious problems. I can't even open the program; I tried restarting the computer, uninstallin then reinstalling and nothing works, the progrom does not resond. Is anyone else have any problems with the new version?

I also updated my iTunes to the current version 6.0.3.5 from a perfectly working older version (I was quite happy). The only reason I did so was because the blurb said that this version was more efficient.... NOT!!! It not only zapped my library/playlist but it also lost the signature for my IPOD. Luckilly I'm a nut for backing-up things and now I am painfully downloading my recent backup to my IPOD. Apple... I'm not impressed with the delivery/packaging of this update and whoever wrote the patch should be fixing his resume!!

Some interesting observations on this by markarich over here, wha:
Re: apple software update in windows help!!!!
    My thoughts there:
In the normal course of events, SoftwawareUpdate.exe is not set to run as an administrator.
In the normal course of events, if SoftwareUpdate.exe is set to run as administrator, then the Apple Software Update.lnk compatibility mode tab should also be showing that ASU has been set to run as an administrator. So it's not clear why a discrepancy was being seen there.
(Granted, if we've dealing with weird permissions **** here then the symptoms ought to be a bit weird, by definition.)

  • HT2311 it won't let me install because I don't have 10.6.8 updated version?  I have checked for updates and nothing comes up.  I can't access Itunes to download Iphone photos etc....

Itunes doesn't recognize my Iphone 4 or Iphone 5.  I get a pop up that says it requires me to install Itunes updated version of 10.7 to access my phones.
When I go to install version 10.7 it says I can't because my system needs to be updated to version 10.6.8?
Need some advise on my next step.

If you're on a Leopard operating system (10.5.8), you're not going to be able to sync to the iPhone 5. (The iPhone 5 needs iTunes 10.7.0.21, and that's only available for Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion.)
You should still be able to sync to the iPhone 4S if you've got iTunes version 10.6.3.25 installed. (Your Leopard operating system supports that.)
A .dmg installer for iTunes version 10.6.3.25 for Mac OS can be found at the following download page on the Apple website:

  • USB Cable no longer responding after iTunes update?

I recently downloaded the iTunes update version 6.0.4 to my Dell Laptop. However, when I go to synch up my iPod, upon plugging in my iPod, I get a message from my computer that says "USB Device not recognized". I have tried the USB connection in numerous USB docks, however keep getting the same message. The iPod says "Do not disconnect" but it does not synch up with iTunes, even after I leave it there for about 10 minutes.
I have downloaded then re-installed the iPod Updater Version 2006-01-10 and re-booted my computer but still the USB connection is not recognized.
    Any suggestions? Thanks!

You need iTunes 10.0 or greater to update your phone...iTunes isn't confused at all. If you're on a Mac, you'll need OS X 10.5.8 or greater to update iTunes to 10.0 or greater.

    Hey there davidgor2!
I have found an article that should help you resolve this issue with updating your iTunes. The article can be found here:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
and the specific part of the article you will want to look at first is right here:
    "Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
    Remove the SC Info folder.
If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

  • I updated itunes to version 11.0 and now it will not open and says it is corrupted?

i updated itunes to version 11.0 and now it will not open and says it is corrupted?
how do i get it to work it updated fine then asked to restart comp so i did now it will not open

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

  • HT6001 I have tried numerous time to update iTunes to Version 11.1.4.  Each time it has failed. I get the message of "This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found".  Also I get a message of "Error 7". Advise please.

I have tried numerous time to update iTunes to version 11.1.4.  It has failed every time.  Now I can't even get into iTunes on my PC.  The message I get is "This application has failed to start because MSVCR60.dll was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix the problem."  Okay. Which application?  What steps are needed for this process?
Also, I get this message "iTunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 126)"  Could someone please assist me in the steps necessary to remedy this issue.  Thanks.

For many users at this point in time (iTunes 11.1.4.62) uninstalling iTunes alone is not enough and they may need to undertake further steps...
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • TS3694 Rec'd a note to update iTunes to version 11.1.4 on my PC.  All was routine until an error message appeared: "MSVCR80.dll is missing".  I''m at a loss as to how to fix this.  Help

Can't download and install iTunes update to version 11.1.4 without receiving an error message: "MSVCR80.dll is missing".  What do I do?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Since updating itunes to version 10 my ipod classic will not sync any new music that I have added to itunes, can anyone help

I recently updated iTunes to version 10.3.1.55. Since then when I try to sync my IPod classic it says on the top of iTunes (where the barbers pole is) "Step 1of1 Determining Tracks to Sync". This stays like that for about 15 minutes before a message pops up saying "Itunes could not copy ""song title name here"" to the Ipod because an unknown error occurred (-50)". This message pos up for every song title that has been added to itunes since the itunes update. Therefore I am unable to sync any new music. This only happens when syncing the ipod as the iphone syncs with no problems.
Does any one have a solution?
