ITunes Used to Work, After Recent Update, itl file error

I have 2 huge need questions to be answered.
1. First off, my iTunes worked great. Never was anything wrong, went online at my work and downloaded the lastest update to a cd. Brought the cd home and installed it onto my computer. Then I click on the iTunes Program Logo and error: "..itl file cannot be found/created...default located..My Music Folder.." So maybe I moved it, nope there is the itl file right there. Next I descided well maybe I installed it wrong. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and the problem still occured. I have check everywhere for my problem, and yes I have found some people who have come accross it. I still don't know whats wrong. Please, if you know anything list me the things I need to do.
2. Second off, my iTunes and computer has never Registered an iPod connect to the computer. All it reads is a iPod Camera in the USB directory. (I own the iPod Touch). How do I get this to work as well.

It's mostly a server issue because millions of users are trying to do the same. Apple's servers get bogged down. Try waiting a bit - a day - before trying again. You can also check out this for other things to try.

ITunes 11.2 crashes after recent update

I have iTunes 11 for Windows 7, after the most recent update I beleive, iTunes will now crash everytime I luanch it. When I fire up iTunes, it'll load my library then 15 seconds later iTunes will stop working and close out. I get no error message. Need help to fix this issue.

Scott, that's a fair question! I incrementally made those adjustments over about 8 or 10 attempts as iTunes would crash not long after starting up.
When I would turn on iTunes, I could see on the "home page screen" that is was updating Genius and somehow I also noticed it was syncing or downloading Podcasts. I had already deleted the Sync Services Folder and emptied the trash, yet it kept crashing. I also would try and "x" out the Genius progress bar to stop it, but not long after it would crash. So on another attempt, I started trying to "turn off" Genius via to the Store pull down menu . It would appear to turn off, but by then iTunes would crash. And when I restarted iTunes I would see Genius try to update or sync all over again, whatever it does, and I would check the Store pull down menu and Genius was still on.
The next thing I tried was after turning Genius off, I shut down iTunes, hoping to "Save" the setting as off. I think that was how I succeeded in shutting off Genius.
In a mix of adjustments I also turned off what I could with the Podcasts.
It's been six hours now with no crashes, and I played a big high def movie file via ethernet out of my Mac Pro to Apple TV, so my iTunes 11.2.1 is basically in good shape.

Itunes no longer works after latest update

I updated the latest version of iTunes. Now, it no longer works. Then my computer told me to update the latest version, so tried again, but again it didn' work. So in uninstalled iTunes and tried to install it again. It didn't work. I even tried with an older update after I had deleted the latest one and it didn't work. Now my computer tells me that some file or stuff was missing.

Lightening to HDMI not working after recent update

I recently updated my Ipad and now my Lightening to HDMI adapter does not seem to work. It was working fine up until the most recent update. I know that the HDMI cable works and all the other connections are fine b/c it works fine when plugged into our blu-ray player.
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know how to fix this issue?

What happens when you click on the EPSON Printer Utility which should be inside the Utility folder? Have you tried repairing permissions and restarting your computer? Have you read Epson's user manual and/or contacted their tech support?

Multiple speakers not working after recent update?

Can anyone help me with getting my multiple speakers working with Itunes and ATV2. It wont work since last update a few days ago.

I had the same problem all I did was unplug all my TV's and restated my iMac and all working fine again now hope this helps

At my computer, there was a problem with the configuration file of pacman (/etc/pacman.conf). Do something with pacman in the terminal, and see if there is an warning message of pacman. After I updated the configuration file, the problem with Apper was gone.
When solved, please change the subject with [SOLVED].

ITunes had deleted songs after recent update

Recently updated cloud and iTunes software and now songs that have recently been purchased before the update are no longer in playlists or in my music library. Any suggestions people?

Middle mouse click no longer works after recent update

I noticed after updating about 3 days ago that clicking the scroll wheel no longer acts as middle click on my MX Revolution mouse from logitech anymore. Pressing on the scroll wheel use to act as middle mouse click, now it just switches between scroll modes. I would like to have the former functionality returned as I really like to be able to open links in new tabs and paste with just one click.
Does anyone know how I could get this functionality working again on this mouse? All other button functions work as they did prior to the update that changed my scroll wheel click behavior.
Thanks for any help with this matter and please let me know if any other information is needed to diagnosis this problem.

Yes the mouse works in windows, but logitech provides a configuration utility for it and so I use that set it up. In linux there is no such utility to configure the mouse. There use to be btnx and that worked great but it's no longer in the repos or AUR so I don't use that anymore. I haven't done pacman -Sc or pacman -Scc in a while so I should still have the packages to roll back, but I'm not sure what package update caused this. MSI Live Update will no longer work after recent update

Recently, MSI Live Update upgraded itself and now errors when a scan is attempted. I can start the application, and the scan appears to occur but does not complete. The error is pretty generic:

First thing I did was uninstall the tool, delete the directory, reboot and download and install Live Update 6.x from the MSI site. No change. I figured there was possibly a problem with (one of the) C++ Runtime libraries and checked the system requirements on the MSI website, but all it says its needs is the .NET runtime library. I uninstalled it, rebooted, and reinstalled it but still received the same error. Going with the error, I removed all of the C++ libraries (8, 10, and 12 I think), rebooted, and reinstalled them the checked MS for updates. Sadly, this also didn't resolve it.
Error in the application log didn't help:

I fixed it though--went to Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, found Microsoft .net 4.5.1, hit Change/Uninstall, then clicked Repair. Rebooted after and it was fine.
Windows 8.x has .NET 4.x preinstalled as a part of the OS.
I used DISM.exe which identified a component store corruption (and repaired it). Live Update still errors.
Attempts to install from a .NET runtime returns an error of "A higher version is already installed".
Version of .NET installed: 4.5.51641
I did disable, reboot, and re-enable .NET as a feature but doing so does not revert it back to stock .NET.
I also checked Windows Update after re-enabling it and there were no updates - so its not flushing the binaries if its disabled.
At least I have a direction to start troubleshooting (.NET) - thanks for the tip!

Restore points are out - I let this slide too long. If I go that route, I'll be fixing one app to break 10 others.
If I'm going to reinstall the OS, I'll wait until Windows 10 (I'll do a complete wipe at that time). Live Update is a 'nice to have', but its not worth my time to wipe the OS and rebuild the system.

Mail is not working after recent update

After updating my phone yesterday, the Mail application no longer works. I get an error message stating, "The user or password for "Gmail" is incorrect." I know this isn't true! I logged in and out of gmail on three different devices to confirm my password. I also deleted this mail account and tried to set it up again and I get the same error message. I restarted the phone a few times and rentered my mail account several times.
Please help!

are you using an Application specific password? if so, you will need to revoke it and re-enter the new password on the ipad.

I tunes had a new update a few days agom which I downloaded (May 2014). Now whenever I try to open it, I get an error message that

ITunes won't work after latest update on Windows 8.1

I downloaded the latest update for iTunes yesterday on my new Windows 8.1-enabled laptop, and now, even though I can start the application up, doing literally anything freezes it up and requires a manual restart. It is literally completely broken. I need to find a solution immediately, or I might have to start using different software.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
