    Hey Patricia Davis,
Firstly, please clarify whether you are trying to use scanner or printer option as both are different.
What exactly are you trying to do with your document? Do you face the same issue with all documents or any specific one?
Is there any error message that prompts on your screen?
    Let me know.

  • HP Officejet 4500 = Printing problem

    Hello,
I have an HP Officejet 4500.  When I run a printing test, it prints out fine so it does not appear to be an ink problem or connection issue.  But when I try to print out a document from my computer, the paper feeds through but does not print.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Perplexed99,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that when sending a print job to your Officejet 4500 printer that the printer only prints blank pages.
I’ve included the Troubleshooting Print Quality document.  I know you said the test page seemed to print fine but please follow the steps in this document.  If that doesn’t assist you, please also Try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows.  You can find the download for the Print And Scan Doctor at hp.com/go/tools.

  • OfficeJet 4500 printer

My OfficeJet 4500 printer won't print.  I have about six print jobs waiting in my queue.  My printer pulls a sheet of paper thru the printer (printing nothing), pulls another sheet about 1/2 of the way, then stops.  Print button still flashing but won't go any further.  HELP!!!

I was printing yesterday (a large print job) 1MAY13 & all of a sudden, before it would print (again), there was a loud clicking sound.  I cancelled the print job & gave the printer a rest.  I disconnected the printer this morning (2MAY13) & removed both ink cartridges & swabbed out w/ a little alcohol in the trays they reside.  Removed the rear door to check for any loose paper, which, I had no jam yesterday.  Reconnected everything & powered back on & attempted to align & clean the cartridges, even print somehing.  This was unsuccessful & the printer screen kept reading "Aligning cartridges or cleaning cartridges or printing", & there it stayed flashing on what it was doing....It did pull in a sheet of paper & when it returned the paper, it stuck half-way & I had to pull it completely out.  I can press the cancel button & it will inform of cancelling, but, it flashes as well.  I've not been able to print ANYTHING today & I've constantly powered off the printer, tried to align & clean the cartridges & now, when the cartridge is setting up, there's a knocking sound in behind where the cartridges rest, but, I'm not finding any issues of anything being broken, etc.  I even went & downloaded OJ4500vG510g-m_Basic_13_en & still unsuccessful.  I have no idea that the problem is because I was very careful in cleaning the trays for the cartridges & the print hed area that the cartridges rests against when installed.

  • Hp officejet 4500 prints but does not appear in devices and printers in Windows 7

My wireless hp officejet 4500g prints fine wirelessly but it  does not appear in Control Panel  Devices and Printers in Windows 7.  Do I have to go through all that uninstall and reinstall.  I've used Window 7 Troubleshooting Printer check and all was fine..  Thanks for any help

    Hi,
If the printer successfully print, it do exists within Devices and Printers..
Windows 7 may merge several devices into a single icon, right clicking a merged icon will let you then choose the specific device as you may see in the following screenshot as a sample:
Check any existing printer icon and locate the one your printer combined with..
If none of the printers does not list the 4500 printer make sure to right click the Computer icon within the Devices category, I notiice the printer sometimes merged within the computer as well, then you will see any printer options (e.g. Printer Properties, Printing Preferences within the computer menu.
    Hope that may help,
    Shlomi

  • Officejet 4500 prints partial pages

My Officejet 4500 started printing partial pages.  I have tried unpluging it, and reloading it.  It will not complete an alinement.

    Hey @ACHO ,
Thank you for taking the time to post on the HP Forums today! Hope you enjoy the experience.
I understand you are experiencing partial prints from your Officejet 4500. In my experience this means either the top or the bottom of the page is being cut off and not printed.
Here is a document that addresses that issue. Printed Text is Cut Off at the Top or Bottom of the Page
Hope this helps! Have a great day!

  • Using MacBook Pro with HP Officejet 4500 printer .. won't duplex print

I've tried everything to get the answer to this one... I have a new MacBook Pro but when I try to duplex print on the Officejet (which previously did two sided printing automatically if I wanted it) I don't have the option of printing two sided automatically.  It's been suggested that I go through a bunch of steps, basically doing odd pages then going back and doing even numbered page, totally manually.  I haven't had any luck contacting HP either.  Can anyone shed any light onto this?

    Hi,
Pleae download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor utility which should resolve most of printing issues.

  • HP Officejet 4500 - printing files with íáýžřčšě in the name

Hello, there is a problem with printing of files with Central European letters in the name. If the filename contains éíáýžřčšě (for example avízo, zpráva etc) , it is sent to the printer, but it stays in the query and is not printed. Everytime we need to rename th file and send again. (it took me pretty long time to recognize, what is the problem. Can I solve it somehow?
Second isssue: printer is not switched to sleeping mode automatically, and it lights for all night. Why, how to set the time to sleep?

Hopefully I can be of assistance! Do you know the IP address of the printer that the Airport is assigning to it?  Here is a little document from Apple Support about your connection: How to Connect a Wireless Printer to your Airport Network.  I am not too fluent in Apple Airports but I see nobody has tried to help yet.  I thought that one would connect the printer to the Airport via USB and then other devices could see it via wireless.  That may not be the case here so I want to make sure I understand completely how you have the printer connected to the Airport.  Are you using the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer to connect to the Airport or are you connected to the Airport with a wire?
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

    Hi ktown82,
Thank you for signing up for the forum and posting about your recent experience.  I can imagine feeling frustrated if you have perhaps been told different things when it comes to points posting to your My Best Buy™.  The new program terms have been in effect for quite some time now, so there is no real excuse for a Best Buy employee not knowing them.
As it appears you are aware, a purchase does not qualify for My Best Buy™ program points if promotional financing is selected.  This change to the program terms went into effect back on 7/31/2013.  Once a purchase is complete, Best Buy and Citibank are unable to modify the financing plan that was applied to the purchase; however, points could potentially be awarded if standard financing were selected after processing a return and repurchase.  Otherwise, zero points would be awarded.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced and would like to go over your My Best Buy™ account with you to ensure it is up-to-date.  To accomplish that, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page.  I look forward to speak with you further.

    2. Accept the installation agreements, and then click Next . It might take several minutes for your computer to install the printer software.
    3. You will be asked to connect printer to computer with USB cable
    4. You will be ask how you want to connect to printer, select Network (Ethernet/Wireless) and then click Next.
    5. Setup will access computer and router for wireless settings.
    6. Setup will ask if you want to use wireless settings (SSID and Password) to setup printer. Select Yes and press Next.
    7. Setup will then send wireless settings to printer.
