Ive installed the 1.4 JDK, but java -version still reports 1.2

Ive installed J2SE 1.4 sdk, but have installed osme other applications that have installed some older JRE's and SDK's. Now when i issue the java command "java -version" it reports
C:\>java -version
java version "1.2.2"
Classic VM (build JDK-1.2.2_008, native threads, symcjit)
how can i correct this ?

If you have both jdk installed put 1.4 version in autoexec.bat ahead of 1.2 in the line

My system: Windows7 x64 (fresh install - so no previous JRE's or JDK's), Firefox 15.0.1 and IE9

I tried to view applets in Firefox and IE and they both report that I have to download the Java plugin.
IN Firefox I click "Install plugin" and it looks like it's installing, but then it fails. It then gives me an option to install it manually (which is a link to the Oracle JRE download page.
I did not try that last option because I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO, Oracle's page clearly states [http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/webnotes/install/index.html] that the JDK INCLUDES the JRE.
"... If you want to develop Java applications, download the Java Development Kit, or JDK. *The JDK includes the JRE, so you do not have to download both separately.*"
Also, it the latest JDK is supposed to come with JavaFX development capabilities, but I don't see JavaFX stuff in any of the Java folders.

You might want to look in your control panel for 'Java' icon. It should give you an option to enable java plugin into your browser. Let me know if you still face the issue.

That doesnt work for me. I removed itunes through the windows cleaner method as shown in other posts and re-installed itunes. Now im getting this error

Howard has the easiest answer. Or at least, cheapest, since you don't need to purchase an external CD/DVD drive.
The "demo" software from Microsoft's site is exactly the same as what's on the DVD. Install that and activate it with the key in your software box.

There are two options for installing Office for Mac if your Mac doesn't have a DVD drive.
Option 1: Convert your Office for Mac 2011 trial. To convert a trial version, you must have a valid product key. The product key will convert your trial into a fully licensed version of Office for Mac.

2. Open any Office for Mac application, like Word, PowerPoint, or Excel.

It sounds like you are trying to upgrade your Mac to a newer version of OS X, after completing a fresh install of Snow Leopard.
If you have already purchased and downloaded OS X Lion and Mavericks, you should be able to find these items in the Purchased section of the Mac App Store.
You may find the steps in this article helpful with finding the items:

Thanks John. I have tried solutions 1 to 3 from (-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.h tml) and they do not work. So I presume that all I can do is to remove all 25 CC applications and start again!
Incidently, ( http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ ) does not list Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 as an update even though Adobe have announced that it is available (http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2014/04/camera-raw-8-4-and-dng-converter-8-4-now-a vailable.html). The same applies for Adobe Premiere Pro 7.2.2 (http://blogs.adobe.com/premierepro/2014/04/premiere-pro-cc-7-2-2.html). If they are not available this would explain why I cannot download them but I am very suprised that Adobe didn't mention this when I contacted them.

I got the macbook from a friend a few years ago and it already had OSX Lion installed. Whenever it boots from the Snow Leopard disc it says it cannot install from disc. Is there anythingI can do or should I take it to an Apple store to get them to boot OSX Lion for me?

Insert your Snow Leopard disc and restart, press and hold the C key as soon as you hearthe startup chime, hold C until you see the Apple Logo. When your computer starts up you'll be at the first install screen, choose your language and click the arrow to go to the next screen. This screen has a menu bar, from the Utilities menu select Disk Utility, select your hard drive, this is the one with the manufacturers name or numbers, click the partition tab and then delete any existing partitions by selecting them and clicking the minus. In the drop down box select one partition and click apply. Name your hard drive and click erase. When it's done quit DU and go back to the installer, install Snow Leopard. When the installer is done and the computer is back up and running run Software Update to get to 10.6.8
