Iweb pages are suddenly blank.

When I open iweb all but the first page are suddenly blank. I've quit, dumped the .plist, re-started, repaired the preferences, dumped the cache - and still I can only see the first page. Online I can see the whole site, but to edit on my commuter, not so much. At first, when I look at the other pages, I can see the outline of the template, but then that disappears, too. The weirdest part is this happened on two computers! At first I could't even open the first page, but I'd backed up onto idisk, so I downloaded the file, but could only get the first page, as I said.

You've done the standard "fixes" so it might be time to reinstall iWeb. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iWeb" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

Then install iWeb from the disks it came on originally and apply the necessary updaters.

Some PDF pages are opening blank!

I can't open some PDFs in Lion because all pages are coming blank. Is it a new chapter of the Adobe vs. Apple battle, or can I open those documents other way?

I'm having the same issue.
Both Safari and Preview are opening some .pdf as blank pages.
It started after I updated to Lion.
I've tried to export as jpeg, another pdf and still no positive results...
They're all blank.
Suffice to say that the .pdf files are appropriately opened in Google GMail built-in reader. So there's nothing wrong with the files.

Google search, gmail, most web pages are suddenly much smaller - Why?

Suddenly, almost all web pages are now smaller. I have not changed monitors or reset the resolution on my monitor. I use the "control +" but the size reverts if I move off the original page. I cannot read most of the Google search results. I am having to resize every page I come to.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:

PC visitors to my iWeb site are suddenly unable to navigate pages

AFter months of working fine, viewers with PCs tell me they cannot navigate from page to page on my Web site, published on Mac. They open to the Welcome page and are stuck there. I can navigate just fine on my Mac.

There are a ton of threads throughout this forum of people having problems viewing their sites in IE. It seems to me that most of the issues are due to Internet Explorer's inablity to handle javascript (.js) files efficiently and effectively. Unfortunately most of the website components that are automatically created in iWeb, such as the navigation bar, blog summary, etc., are ALL javascript. I won't go into a commentary on Microsoft, but it is a very frustrating thing since most computers out there are Windows machines that come pre-installed with IE.
The work around for the nav bar at least is to disable by unchecking the "Display navigation bar" option on the Page window of the inspector and then create your own text hyperlinks in its place. I even went as far as to duplicate it with my text hyperlinks over top using the original nav bar as a template before I disabled it.
I also put a "best viewed in Safari or Firefox" statement along with links for downloading them. Both work on windows machines and I like them much better than IE7!

HELP!! Dashboard Post-it's or Stickies are suddenly blank.

The yellow stickies on my dashboard have suddenly gone blank. I keep some important info on these (I know I should have it backed-up elsewhere), and they're simply empty. The actual stickies are still there, but there's no text. I tried repairing permissions, but no luck. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

In Stickies make sure you have scrolled all the way up and down in the window. Sometimes your input is there, you just need to view the entire window.
Also, here's how to Save notes:
Saving sticky notes
You can save a sticky note as a text file before closing it. If you don’t save the sticky note before you close it, you’ll lose all the text in the note. If you don’t close a sticky note, it will be visible whenever Stickies is open.
To save a sticky note:
Click the close button in the top-left corner of the sticky note to close it.
In the dialog that appears, click the Save button.
Type a name and choose a destination for the text file you’re creating.
Choose a format from the Format pop-up menu:
Plain Text: Cannot include paragraph and font formatting or graphics and other embedded files.
RTF: Can include paragraph and font formatting. If you add graphics to a Rich Text Format (RTF) file, it is changed to a Rich Text Format Directory (RTFD) file.
RTFD: Can include paragraph and font formatting, as well as graphics and other embedded files.

I have a mac osX, HP 550 printer and Firefox 3.6.18 Pages are printing blank from firefox internet, I don't have this problem with Safari or my other applications. It has been working fine for years.

When I press print I get a blank page, only from web pages using Firefox. I checked print-preview and the page is blank. So I know something is not being recognized. Thank you.

Try This!
1) Go to Print Preview
2) Print
3) Name: HP PSC 2100 series (depend on your printer)
4) Properties...
5) Paper size: letter
6) Change to Paper size: A6
7) OK
8) Repeat step 4 again
9) Change back again Paper size: letter
10) OK
11) Don't print, but go back to Print Preview again and see if it works

How do you get iBooks Author to show page numbers? (All my pages are in blank layout.)

I'm using iBooks Author 2.0 to make a picture book and can't get it to show page numbers. The "insert page numbers" menu item doesn't highlight when I'm creating a page, nor does a number magically show up when I preview the book on my iPad. Please help?
It may have something to do with how I'm using the ToC (tried to avoid having a ToC, but that's not working out too well. Any suggestions on how to do that with a picture book would also be helpful.)

Now I actually have to read the iBooks Author support to figure out what I'm doing wrong with the whole Section/Chapter template thing. (It would be nice to just have a simple picture book template. Not to complain.)

My pages are suddenly in translate,when all the time it was in English,suddenly,I have to click translate to English,it is driving me crazy

I am having the same issue!
I've gone through the Tools Options and restored the Translate configuration back to the default (it was set to translate to Spanish). Once reset back to English and choosing Do Not Translate English, I saved and restarted Firefox.......but it reverted back to the Spanish translation option.
I've repeated the process several times, but it's not working.
It's really annoying. I know it doesn't affect browsing really, but it's still annoying.

not sure what the problem is. the preview calendar on the upper right just shows a dot, but not the dates!

HP Photosmart 7510 e-ALL-IN-One Series pages are blank coming out of the printer

Printed pages are either blank or streaked. I have cleaned the print heads (clearning levels 1 & 2) and installed new HP cartridges but issue persits. This occours whether I print in blk&white or color. It may print one or two good pages until it starts to streak badly or produce blank pages. I then clean the print heads (levels 1 & 2) and sometimes it works again for a couple of pages.

My Deskjet 3054 610 still acts as though its printing but the pages are blank. Can anyone help?

My HP Deskjet 3054 610 has been working fine, until it just quit scanning one day (that's another issue). Today I was printing a 7-page doc. It printed the first page fine, and the other pages just spit out blank. I restarted the printer and tried again. Now the printer seems to be printing with the back and forth motion, but the pages are still blank. The ink levels are fine, as is the wireless connection.
Any suggestions for help would be appreciated!

Where are iWeb pages stored/saved?

Hi all. I'm building my first website using iweb. there is one (of only 3 so far) page that is apparently corrupted. whenever i click on that page name in the sidebar, iweb crashes, so i can't delete it using the edit/delete page dialogue.
if i can find where my iweb pages are saved, i'll just go there and then drag the page to the trash....

The pages do not exist until you publish them. The elements that comprise the pages are stored in the Domain.sites2 file/package that's located in your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder.
Are there any messages in the Console regarding iWeb that might indicate what's causing the problem.
Aside from the above you can try the following: create a new site and drag the two working pages to it. Then click on the first site's folder icon and see if you can delete the entire site. If that works then all you need to do is recreate that one page.
Also be sure to make a backup of the domain file frequently. Saves a lot of rebuilding in case something goes south in that domain file.

After Safari 7.0.4 upgrade http pages are blank

After updating to Safari 7.0.4 I am having the following issue, http Safari pages are compately blank, if I try to open an https page and manually add the prefix https:// to the address, then they will load. This does not work with http.
The BBC News website will not load at all and I get a blank page.
I am also having problems with Chrome and Firefox where I get the error 'no data recieved'
I've tried deleteing cache in Develop, 'Remove all website data', turning off Extensions etc. The only way that I have got this to works is by rebooting and starting in 'Safe' mode which is the only way I can view this site after searching from Google.
Can anyone help please? This is really frustrating and there doesn't seem to be a solution anywhere on the Web.

Center-align iWeb pages?

Is there a code to use to center align an iWeb page, as in vertically, so that no matter what screen size/resolution you have, the page will stay in the middle of the browser, instead of at the top?

All objects on an iWeb page are fixed and do not move when a browser window is resized. The page itself is centered horizontally.
iWeb does not support vertically centered pages. And from other forums I gather it is not easily done with custom code.
But it can be done. Here's a custom page that centers and scales in all directions :

To make it work in iWeb you need a JavaScript and knowledge of how iWeb creates its pages.

My Pages document went blank, but can 'see' it in Thumbnail.

I can see my document's typed sections in Thumbnail, but my pages are completely blank (white) so that I can't edit. I double clicked on the Thumbnailed pages, but nothing came up to the right in the editing space. What did I do/can do? Did I hit a hotkey accidently and made it 'disappear?'

You opened a bank Layout template which is truely blank, it has absolutely nothing on it for you to type into.
Go back to the Template Chooser, this time choose a blank Word Processing template, they are labelled in the Sidebar.
