IWeb Podcast Art Not Displaying in iTunes Store

I recently submitted a podcast to iTunes, and so far it has been displaying in the store fine. However, I cannot figure out how to make iTunes display the art for the podcast. I just used iWeb to make the podcast, RSS feed, and submit it to iTunes, and though I'm fairly technically proficient, web coding is not my area of expertise.

I'm having sort of the same problem. My podcast (which is done through iweb) was just put into the itunes store and when you search it there's no artwork, but after you click on it, the artwork shows up. It's just not coming up in the search. Should I wait? Or is there something I can do to get my artwork up?

Album Art not displaying in iTunes

I have several mp3s where the album art does not display in iTunes, it does, however, display when I use other software such as MediaMonkey or foobar2000. The album artowork is stored in the tag. I've tried retagging them within iTunes, but it doesn't always work and is a time consuming process. I've also tried removing the ID3v1 tag portion from the file and leave just the ID3v2.3 tag, but no success either. Any thoughts?

It only happens wih some files, and I can't seem to find out what the correlation is.
If I take a series of mp3s where the album art cannot be displayed in iTunes but can in MediaMonkey or, extract the album art from the the tag through MediaMonkey (iTunes artwork fetching usually gives me poor results), and then assign the album art through iTunes, yes the album art does appear to be saved and displayed through iTunes. But that's a process.
Additionally, if I reassign the artwork in MediaMonkey (not readding it, just reapplying the assignment to all selected items) the artwork will show up in iTunes.
I'm going to play around with Mp3Tag and see if that yields anything.

Podcast Subcategories not displaying correctly in store - Anyone else?

Currently when drilling down into the iTunes store into podcast categories the browsable view is missing. I'm getting an "old fashioned" category style view rather than the nice browsable view with "New" and "Featured" and "Top Podcasts" etc. Is this problem unique to me or are others experiencing it as well.

I'm having this problem again. It started last night and is still doing it this morning. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Apple Support - please note I am not just describing the new look of the subcategories. I produce top 100 podcasts and am very familiar with how the subcategories should look.

I, too, relied on the name of the iTunes library being displayed on the top header bar of the iTunes window. I have 2 iTunes libraries that I go back and forth on all the time, and now I really have to look at the contents to figure out which library I'm in at any given moment. What a pain!! And what a stupid move to diminish functionality, Apple. You folks have been doing this more all the time lately -- taking away perfected functionality -- and either deleting it or changing it just for the sake of a new look. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! Please!
A good example of that is the dim grey text in all too much Apple everything these days. Black is beautiful, please! And especially useful in reading!! And, apparently, enough people thought so, too, since I see black text is back in iTunes 11. It went grey, and you heard from enough people that that was something no one should have changed. Well, as the Gipper said: Here you go again! Bring back the Library Name. You've got plenty of room; you don't need to put it in another vertical space -- just put in in line with the other stuff you've got there. Put it left of the "Search Library." That would be fine. But, just do it!

However, for some reason, as of 1.0.3 version of the software it doesn't display Cyrillic Capital Letter Yu (Unicode 042E) in the artists' names.
Is that the only Cyrillic character that does not display correctly? What do you get instead?

Podcast artwork does not show in ITunes store

I recently began producing a music podcast http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/felony-buddha/id375837423.
I am using blogger http://www.felonybuddha.com and feedburner http://www.felonybuddha.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss.
Initially I did not have the artwork url in SmartCast but I updated Smartcast
on 06/04/2010 with this url http://4.bp.blogspot.com/PuXcBmmd7sY/TAmrnudmrHI/AAAAAAAAAAM/W8kCV6S3N2U/s1600/iStock000010405007XSmall.jpg. I sent a Ping but the podcast artwork still does not show in Itunes store.

The Feedburner feed is probably OK: it does have the declaration and the correct image reference.. As there are no line returns separating the tags it appears either as one or two long lines or as a slab of text, so it's very difficult to read, and you might want to go through your original feed if you can, and put some line returns in.
Assuming it to be OK, you have two possibilities: both involve you editing the original feed.
For clarity let's label the feeds;
Feed 1 is your original, http://www.felonybuddha.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss
Feed 2 is the Feedburner-generated one, http://feeds.feedburner.com/felonybuddha/MhvA
Method 1: amend feed 1 to contain the necessary tags. The top section of the feed should read:

Then in the top section of the feed, after 'channel' and before the first 'item' tag, add:

making sure you don't get this inside another tag (and there must be no line breaks within this). There are still other tags missing, which though they aren't essential, ought really to be there.
Method 2: this might be preferable - redirect iTunes to Feed 2. Feedburner does add a lot of garbage to the feed (intended for compatibility with other rss readers) but they shouldn't cause any problems; however there are some caveats, see below. The method:
You will need to add the following tag to Feed 1, after the 'channel' tag and before the first 'item' tag:
<itunes:new-feed-url>http://feeds.feedburner.com/felonybuddha/MhvA</itunes:new-feed-url>
Before doing this you should read this Apple Tech Note just so that you are completely clear what you are doing.
Re-upload the feed and leave it there until iTunes has changed to the new feed - this may take some days. To check whether it's changed, go to the Store page for your podcast, click on the 'Subscribe' button, go to the 'Podcasts' section in the sidebar, and click on the 'i' button on the extreme right of the line for your overall podcast (not the episode). The pane which pops up contains the feed iTunes is using.
Caveats:
Make sure you get the URL exactly right in the redirect. If you make a mistake *you will not be able to get it back* once iTunes has redirected.
Be aware that once you have transferred to Feed 2 you cannot edit that feed directly, only the feed you submit to Feedburner. This may possibly mean that if you later want to redirect to another feed you won't be able to.

Hi there I have been trying to help a friend work out why she hasn't been able to access itunes on her home computer for 3 months as it comes up with the following error "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later"
I have cleared her crache and dissabled firewalls still no luck. Then I tried logging in with my id and to our surprise it worked. So any assistance would be great. Please find the report below maybe you can help!

Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

Please try again later. I've received these responses for the past 3 hours. I'm also getting an error on my iPhone (Cannot connect to iTunes Store). Does anyone know what to do to resolve this issue? Been having this trouble all evening. I use iTunes Match at work so I can leave my external hard drive at home. As a guitar teacher, I rely on it for work. It's mildly comforting to see that others are experiencing this issue and that it's not a problem with my Macbook Pro. I hope Apple fixes this soon!

After iCloud backup restore, how can I prevent Podcasts from constantly trying (and failing) to download podcast episodes no longer in iTunes store?

I recently turned my iPhone in to a Genius bar and had it repaired under the iPhone 5 Sleep/Wake Button Replacement Program. Congruent to that repair, I had to do a factory reset (contetn and settings). Once I got it back, I restored from iCloud backup. When I re-opened the podcats app, it began to redownload all old episodes I had on the iPhone before.
Of these many podcasts, 5 episodes were from 2 defunct podcasts no longer on the iTunes store. It gets download errors on these episodes. I can get it to stop retrying (and failing). I have tried canceling the downloads. I have tried deleting the episodes (and the podcasts). I have tried deleting them then canceling the downloads. I have tried marking them as played and canceling the downloads. I cannot get them to be purged from the catalog and not try to redownload.
Outside of someone with access to the iCloud backend who can remove the associations, I don't know if anyone here can help me. But I am open to suggestions.

It sounds like you have some podcast subscriptions that are constantly trying to download but they are not in the iTunes Store anymore prompting an error message. You can use the edit button in the susbcriptions list to delete the subscribed podcasts in question, to prevent the error messages from happening:

Then I would backup to iCloud to update the most current iCloud backup to reflect this:

I can't get iTunes Radio to work. I get this error message, even when I'm signed in to iTunes:

For anyone else wondering, the clue was in what was displayed on the screen after I turned iTunes Match on again: it asked whether I wanted to add this computer. Having copied my iTunes library over from the old machine, I'd completely forgotten that iTunes Match identifies each computer uniquely (not each iTunes Library), so was never going to work with this one until I specifically added it. Sorted!

I've been trying to download videos and/or podcasts from iTunes and I keep getting the above error (We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (12002)).
What does this mean and how can I rsolve this problem?

I am having this issue since 2 days ago too.
Something is wrong with the "Music", "Movies", "App Store" Tabs.
What I did was to use the links at the bottom of the page under the categories "Explore".

I'm afraid I can't make any sense of this. the iTunes Store page lists 301 episodes from 12 January 2010 to 17 June 2010. If you click on the 'subscribe free' button your iTunes application subscribes to the feed at the URL you give, which contains rather fewer episodes from 17 September 2010 to 22 October 2010 (today).
It's not unknown for something in the feed to be OK with the application but not the Store, but the feed validates in FeedValidator and I can't see anything wrong with it - it's almost impossible to read as it's all on one line, but it doesn't seem to contain any of the usual culprits.
The only explanation which would make any sense (and which doesn't seem to be the case) would be if the feed had been complete only to 17 June until a few days ago, and you only recently replaced it with the current set of episodes: it normally takes 1-2 days for changes to appear (so even under normal circumstances today's episodes wouldn't appear yet in the Store, only on subscribing). Since your feed contains episodes back to September this doesn't seem to apply, but I can't see any other reason.

It can't be found by searching, but for a new podcast that doesn't necessarily mean it's not in the Store: it can take some days to appear in the Search results. The email you got should have given you a URL for the Store page - what is that?
However, your podcast apparently consists of 'mixes', presumably of commercially issued items? If so, this is a breach of copyright and once detected would certainly get you removed from the Store.
