iWork apps no longer sync with iCloud. I am on iOS 5.1,1, and this problem is several days old, before it was working fine. Anyone has an idea?

Sadly this is not a new problem and I would not expect a forthcoming solution.  I bought an iPad 3G and the iWork suite at the end of August and iCloud syncing worked fine.  About the time Apple rolled out iOS 6 the syncing stopped working for me (without me upgrading or changing anything).  It has never really worked since.   Run iOS 5.1.1 on both the iPhone 4 and iPad 3G.  The "geniuses" claim that Apples iOS 5 requirement is not correct and that I MUST upgrade both to ios 6 (although I know for fact that lots of folks STILL have the iCloud probs even with its 6.  The last genius basically shrugged and non-verbally acknowledged the iCloud/iWork failing and suggested "just use Dropbox.". So why the **** did we pay for iWork!?!?!
Basically the  iwork/iCloud Connnection is broken and I have yet to get a viable solution to repair the issue.  Sorry for the bad news.  For reference I have uninstalled/installed each iteration of iWork upgrades on each device without success.  I have reset all settings multiple times, turned iCloud off/on repeatedly etc etc without success.  I even wiped the iPad and restored from iCloud w/o intention (another Apple IPad "glitch" when I tried the "reset all settings" and the iPad decided to "erase all" instead.  The genius said "it happens.")
Oddly, the Pages app is the only one that has marginally worked at times since the first probs.  However it is basically broken and non-functioning.  Certainly DO NOT trust vital documents to iCloud/iWork.  I lost a number of work critical docs in this whole annoying, messy process of trying to get what Apple promised as easy....

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IWork on my iPhone no longer syncs with iCloud

About two weeks ago, I noticed that my numbers documents stopped syncing with icloud. I would see the upload icon but nothing would actually happen. Edits I made on my phone wouldn't upload and documents I created on my mac wouldn't download. All other icloud functions work on my phone. My documents are making it to icloud without incident when I create or edit them on my mac.
I've tried reseting my phone, doing a software restore, removing then reinstalling Numbers and Pages and updating both apps. Most recently, I updated to iOS 6. Nothing has worked. Is there anything that I can do short of setting ym iphone up as a new phone. I really don't want to do that and loose my message history and call data.
    thanks

Is it everything that no longer syncs, or is it just one of the things, i.e. just calendar, contacts, notes? Many times as mentioned in the earlier post, it can be caused by a corrupt .pst file. Run the scanpst.exe application that resides in the Office folder. That will run a repair on the .pst file. Go into iTunes and reset the sync history and then try the sync again. If that doesn't help, it is possible there is a corrupt appointment in the calendar. That can cause a problem with syncing.
Try those couple of hints and see if that helps. Come back if it doesn't and let us know some more specifics.

  • My iMac and MacBook Calendar will no longer sync with iCloud.  I don't understand why?

All of the sudden about 10 days ago, I noticed that when I asked to refresh my calendar, that it just hangs on both my iMac and my MacBook.  And neither are syncing with iCloud calendar.  I'm not certain if my iphone calendar is synching or not because nothing is getting transferred to my iMac or MacBook.
The system status says all is OK.  My iCloud is still turned on for both computers.  So I'm not sure what to do next.

Yes.  iCloud on the web is correct although the latest stuff I added to my MacBook is not showing up because it won't sync.
In System Preferences iCloud is selected and they are turned on on both machines as always.
There are no other calendars linked to iCal.  I just have a Home, Work, and Birthday and US Holidays all linked in.
I did try something on my MacBook that seemed to work.  I went into System Preferences and turned off Calendars and Reminders in the iCloud setting.  That prompted a message that all of the iCloud iCal data would be removed from the computer.  I made sure the web version was accurate before I did this.  Then I shut down my computer and restarted.  When I restarted I went back into System Preferences and turned on Calendars and Reminders and now it seems to be working.
I'm about to try the same thing on my iMac.
If this works both times, my question then would be what would cause both my iMac and MacBook to disconnect as it seems from iCloud when I hadn't changed anything at all.

  • My ipod nano will no longer sync with itunes since i have purchased an iphone 4s and synced it with itunes.

My ipod nano will no longer sync with itunes since i purchased an iphone 4s and synced the phone with itunes.  When I plug my ipod into my imac, it does not even read or recognize my ipod.  What do i do?

Are you using the original cable that came with Nano and not your iPhone's cable?  Have you worked through the troubleshooting in this Apple support document?

  • I can't download apps or music on my iphone4s. The loading blue circle keeps revolving but won't let me enter my password. Was working fine one day, then next it's not.

I can't download apps or music on my iphone4s. The loading blue circle keeps turning and it won't let me enter my password. Any suggestions?  Was working fine one day then the next it's not.

Hey, I understand how ****** off you must be at getting bounced around . It most likely has something to do with some port being blocked by your internet service provider or on your router.  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297 lists ports 80, 443, 3689, 5297, 5298, 5353, 8000-8999, and 42000-42999 as ports that need to be open for you to connect to the itunes store. I would recommed contacting your isp and making sure that they are not blocking anything (in a nice unaccusing way, you never know, it might not be their fault), or if they can help you determine if your router is the cause. Before you do that you could also make an appointent with the genius bar at your apple retail store to make sure you can connect to the itunes store on their network, although if you can connect to wifi through safari, it probably is not related to the wifi hardware of your device.
As last ditch efforts, I would try updating your device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623 (I recommend backing-up your device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 and any itunes purchases http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 just to be sure). If that doesn't work, I would restore it and set it up as a new device through itunes on a computer, that will wipe out any problem software and install the operating system as new, you can then test it to see if the issue was related to any software you had on it.
Let us know what you decide to do and if any suggestions helped. Good luck.

  • Pages/Keynote 2.2.2 No Longer Syncing with iCloud on my iPhone 4S

I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1.2 running the iWork apps (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) version 2.2.2. I've noticed I can no longer have my documents in any of these apps on my iPhone sync with the iCloud server. Anything I draft in the app doesn't get pushed to the server or to my other devices and I can't get any changes made on other devices pushed to my iPhone. YET, I have an iPad 2 running the same version of iOS 7 and same versions of the iWork app and it communicates with the iCloud server flawlessly. I can also see my changes on my Mac running the latest version of Mavericks and the iWork apps and any changes made on my Mac show up on my iPad 2 (and vice versa). And the iWork BETA on the iCloud website shows all of my documents and updates perfectly fine too.
Why is it just my iPhone that is having problems. I use these apps for work and often times it's my iPhone I have on me at all times. Now I can no longer update my documents on the go. I've tried uninstalling the apps, turning on/off iCloud on my iPhone and nothing works. Does anybody have a fix for this? Has anybody else been experiencing these issues?
APPLE, PLEASE FIX iWORK APPS FOR iOS AND HAVE EACH VERSION SYNC FLAWLESSLY WITH iCLOUD PLEASE!!!!!!

Yes, they are appearing in All Mail in the g-mail account on line.  I didn't suspect the iPhone, other than possibly something to do with an update to the iOS.  Any suggestions to cure the problem are appreciated, as are any suggestions for viewing All Mail in my g-mail account sequentially, rather than by threads!
    Thanks very much.

  • IWork on iPad not syncing with iCloud Drive

iWork on my iPad – as well as iLife, I think – are refusing to sync to the iCloud Drive. I have tried logging in and out of my iCloud account. I have also ensured that "iCloud" is enabled on each app's individual settings (though the switch occasionally turns itself off). Can someone please assist me with this issue?
    Thanks!

Just checked again on laptop and nothing is synching on there either now. Since iOS 6.0.1 it looks like.

  • How do I get iWork on OSX 10.8 to sync with iCloud docs created in iOS?

There's lots of support about accessing docs already stored in iCloud from iOS, but I can't find anything beyond the basic "turn iCloud on" support for the desktop.
I have an iPad (uptodate iOS and iWork apps) and lots of docs stored in iCloud. I can see those docs with Pages, Keynote & Numbers on my MacMini (OSX 10.8.4), but I can't see them on my MBP (just upgraded to OSX 10.8.4). On my MBP I've signed in to iCloud in [System Preferences/iCloud] and have 'Documents and Data' turned on. I've also made sure that my Apple ID is associated with my User Account in [System Preferences/Users & Groups].
On the MBP when I open Pages I get the open dialog that defaults to iCloud, but it doesn't show any of my docs. I've tried saving something to iCloud to see if that would jog it in to life, but the doc just has a little dotted cloud below and says "Waiting".
I've tried tuning off iCloud in System Prefs, I've tried restarting and I've tried being on a different network - no luck so far.
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Cheers

Yeah that's what I was doing before upgrading the MBP to 10.8, but I was under the impression it should be seemless in Pages etc now. :-/ I don't see why it works on my MacMini, but not my MBP when they're running the same apps and same OS.

  • HT5129 My pics are no longer syncing with iCloud...

I'm so frustrated. What is going on with iPhoto? It has always been syncing via iCloud with all of my other devices. Now I got a message stating that MobileMe is no longer avaiable.. I know that! How can I get my iCloud to sync photos again?
    Thank you

In the system preferences and iPhoto preferences remove any reference to MM

  • Calendar on my iPhone 6 is no longer syncing with iCloud since I update to IOS 8.1

Apparently there are some syncing issues with iCloud with the new IOS 8.1.
Is there any chance to have a solution for that or we have to wait for a new update?

Like Jim, mine is mirroring with no problem. I use it several times a week. It would not appear to something Apple needs to fix. As for "all the fixes here" we have no way of knowing what that means, so it is difficult to determine what to recommend.

  • Apps no longer syncing via iCloud

I run a time-keeping app (Tyme) on my iMac and Macbook, and have always been able to keep the app data synchronised between both devices through iCloud.  All of a sudden yesterday the sync stopped working (it now just hangs on the Macbook).  The Tyme folder does not appear in iCloud Drive on the web either (even though on both devices I have the app ticked under iCloud Drive settings).  The only thing I can think of that might have changed is that I restarted my iMac a couple of days ago, which will have installed any operating system updates that were pending.
    Can anyone help?

You shouldn't be syncing using both iCloud and iTunes, check your settings you may not be syncing via iCloud (system preferences > iCloud on the mac and settings > iCloud on the phone)

  • TS2776 Any ideas why my Outlook 2010 is syncing with iCloud for e-mail but not for contacts and calendars?  I am not a novice user and have done all the obvious things. The situation is odd because the original calendars all came from Outlook in the first

I use iMac, iPad and iPhone but also an HP laptop. I have used Macs since 1986 so I am not a novice. I set up my iCloud account, moving from MobileMe recently and everything works fine on my Apple devices. The bizarre thing is I can see all my e-mail accounts via iCloud in Outlook but the contacts and calendars are not syncing in Outlook even though the original calendar material came from Outlook (the contacts data is all from the iMac). I've tried all the obvious things and read most of the articles on the Apple Support website. All the relevant boxes are checked on the iCloud dashboard on each device but I just wondered if I was missing something obvious. I'm sure some of you will have had the same expereince and solved it. Can you help me?
    Thanks in anticipation!
