No problem clip and drag via Quick Time Pro to the email and select the Attchment size to send. . Depending on the
Size of the Video Clip .. Now Lion only Export's 1 size, . only and as a result . . teh File is TOO Large and
Will NOT send via E-Mail ???
Between the Issue of the Lion, and Email issues , and the Upgrade of I-Touch to 5.1 from 4.2.1
as my Photo Size is Huge .. 70,000 + photos in the Computer. . and was 40,000 in the I - Touch .. .
The New I-Touch too will not Load the same as Previously used on either my 16 GB or 32 GB Unit . .
No Help . .. so far, .. as a Apple user since 1996 .. I have Never experieanced such frustration ???

i am having problems exporting my time lapses from quick time pro i need to save my files as photo jpegs but the standard video compression window will not open fully, it just keeps my mac (old 1.6Ghz 2.5 GB sdram G5 still good for most stuff i need) spinning for ever but i can see compression type H.264 selected and the other setting but i can not select any other options as it still thinking but never opens! why is this happening how do i get round it?
my work flow is: 300 images shot on a 5d mark II medium jpegs opened in Light Room cropped to 16:9 then exported and opened in quick time i can save a .mov H264 giving me files sizes of 14 mb for a 16 second time lapse, mp4 9 mb. the only way i can get large files is saving as a self contained movie then i get 300mb files.
i need to save my files 1920 x 1080 photo jpeg codec as i want HD quality.
i am sure there is a simple way round this?

I have just upgraded to Mavericks and have been using Time Machine on an external disk with Snow Leopard. Can I continue to backup with Time Machine on the same external disk or do I need a new disk since the operating system has changed?

I found that Time Machine in Mavericks will sort it all out for you. You shouldn't need to buy another backup drive, unless you have insufficient space left and can't afford to delete whats on there. It should just work fine. -
External display, don´t connect after the upgrade to Lion?
I frequently use an external display when working. Now after the upgrade to Lion the mini dvi port seem to work. Signal goes though but no picture. Display works fine with my other Mac. Really need this to work. Pleas help me out and I´ll buy a new MacBook Pro A.S.A.P .
Still sounds like the display port is not sending out a video signal.
Try this:
Leave the Mac powered on, close the lid, wait for it to go to sleep. Using an external keyboard, press the space key. This usually activates and wakes the computer back up to using the external display port.

hello, on an ipad 4, when watching a live video stream , came up with a blank picture with the quick time symbol in the middle, the sound worked perfectly but no picture ? any suggestions please ?
We have a solution that allows you to do most of what you want, including bulding the form, having people fill it out either in Reader (as an XFA-PDF) or on the iPad (as an HTML form).

When I upgraded my iMac to Lion I can no longer connect the iPad 2 to WiFi. It gives me a message unable to search for WiFi. Before the upgrade to Lion it worked fine. What gives?
Could there be a setting I need to adjust in the iPad2? When I try to turn on WiFi and enter the name of the WiFi that I have established, including the security type and the password, I get the message "Could not scan for wireless networks." Is there a setting in iCloud or other location that needs to be changed?

Apple 10.7 lion - macbook does not turn off when plugged in. I put the laptop on "sleep" or close the screen and the computer stays on and stays hot! I figured it out! I don't fully understand why, but when I uninstall ESPOINAGE 2 from my laptop, sleep works fine now.. Weird!

I was wondering if I should update to Mountain Lion, and I was wondering if it includes the upgrades from Lion as well?
You only need one OS. I'd use Mountain Lion, but you should first figure out if you have any old programs that are not compatible with either Mountain Lion or Lion.
Old PowerPC programs will not work on Lion or Mountain Lion.
To view which programs you have that are PowerPC, hold down option key and select System Profiler from the Apple menu. Then, select Applications in the Software section. Click on the Kind column header to sort by kind. Look for programs that are PowerPC. Those won't work. If you need them, don't upgrade.

I have a macbook and after i've done the upgrade to lion os i cant eject the cd from the tray! any suggestions???
Restart the computer (e.g. via the Apple menu). At the point you hear the startup chime (or sooner), hold down the trackpad or mouse button, and keep holding it down until after the point the Apple logo appears during startup.
The CD should be ejected by the time the Apple logo appears. -
I purchased Quick time pro, went through the steps above to install.
When I go to save the video save is grayed out and it says I need to purchase quicktime pro.Quicktime Pro will do full screen streaming videos that are compatible with Quicktime installed Codecs. If the video of the Olympics on the website has a specific URL to go straight to the video, then yes, you can call upon it with Quicktime Pro's player and then watch it fullscreen.
If the video of the Olympics was embedded such a way that you can't find the direct link to the video, then the limitation is how the webpage is designed. Thanks to Flip4Mac, there is now also a Windows Media codec you can install for Quicktime as well:

Although some video software like Elgato's EyeTV don't work with it yet. If you are using Elgato's software, don't download it, and rather download Windows Media Player for Mac OS X:

The Windows Media codec you are using is running in the "demo" mode. To export full clips you must purchase or upgrade to one of the export capable codec components like those included in the "Studio" or "Studio Pro HD" software package. -
When trying to update my CC apps, the update fails. I get this error: Update Failed. There was an error installing this update. Please try again later or connect customer support. This is currently happening for InDesign, Photoshop and Bridge. I had this problem previous and was able to fix by doing a complete wipe of my computer and reinstalling CC. However, I should not have to wipe my computer clean everytime I need to do a CC update. HELP!

I can hear the audio for each video BUT the window for SEEING the videos does not open- it remains "closed" on top of the start/stop/pause controller. HOW can I fix this so I can also see the videos I want to edit?
It worked fine the day I uploaded and began using Quick Time Pro, but has not since that day....If it is still slow after removing Symantec, you may need a RAM upgrade. Yosemite can run very poorly on older machines with only 4 GB RAM.
