Java 2 v1.4.2 Icon in the taskbar.

Greetings!.
I just installed the Java 2 v1.4.2 for my Mozilla browser, and, by mistake, I selected the "don't show icon in the taskbar" option.
How can I get the Icon to appear again in the taskbar?.
With that Icon I can change some options like if I want or not my browsers to use that Java, and more.
Thanks in advance!.

If you're using windows you should be able to go to the control panel... and there should be an icon for the Java vm... I'd imagen that in there there will be an option for what you're looking for... and if you're not using windows then whatever is equivilent to the control panel
hope that helps

  • How do o get my browsing history to show on the mozilla icon in the taskbar?

I'm not even sure if I'm using the correct terminology, but here's the problem. During a session, if I clicked on the Mozilla Firefox icon on the taskbar (bottom left of my screen), it would show all of the pages I'd been looking at, and I could just click on them to go back and forth. I could minimize a page and click on the icon and the page would show there so I could restore it.
Now, only my current page shows up on the icon. How can I restore my history to the icon on the taskbar?
    Thank you for your time,
    Julie

    1. Type about:config and press Enter in the address bar.
    2. Type browser.taskbar in the Filter box, and double-click the browser.taskbar.previews.enable to enable the setting. Double-click it again to disable it.
    3. Enjoy.

  • I have Windows Professional and I used to be able to move the curser over the Firefox icon in the taskbar and it would give me a telescoped view of all open tabs, now it just shows the tab that I'm currently viewing. How do I fix this?

I have Windows 7 Professional and I used to be able to move the curser over the Firefox Icon in the taskbar and it would show me a telescoped view of all open tabs, now it just shows the tab that I'm currently viewing. How do I fix this?

    Hey MikeDo,
Do you have the option checked for ''Show Tab Previews in the Windows Taskbar''? If not, just go to ''tools->options->tabs.'' You can find more information on what each of these settings do in the Knowledge Base article [[Options window - Tabs panel]].
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Notification "Show an envelope icon in the taskbar" for anadditional Mailbox

I am working with Outlook2010 and have an additional E-Mail Account in Outlook. Is there a setting to configure the "Show an envelope Icon in the taskbar" for the additional Mail account? I only receve the envelope icon if i receive a new E-Mail
    on my Primary Mailbox?

    Hi,
I tested in my lab, I could see envelope Icon in the taskbar when the primary mailbox receive new message, but there isn't envelope Icon in the taskbar if the additional mailbox receive new mails. It seems that it is by design.
Actually, we have a dedicated forum regarding the Microsoft Office, I recommend you ask this question in this forum, you can get better help there.

  • CRTL + S in Excel 2010 causes the icon in the Taskbar to move to the end.

CRTL + S in Excel 2010 causes the icon in the Taskbar to move to the end. If I just use File > Save or the Save icon in the Quick Access toolbar it doesn't cause the icon to move in the Taskbar. This is a recently change in behavior. Has anyone
else experienced this and know how to make it stop moving?

    Hi,
From your description, I actually understand your issue clarity. Thus, I assume your scenario, please see the below image:
Do you mean that the Excel icon would move to the end in Windows Taskbar when you pressed Crtl+S?
If it's correct, the issue might be caused by the keyboard shortcut conflict between Excel and some third-program. I recommend we perform the Excel with
Windows clean boot. And check if the issue still occurs.
If this issue not occurs with Clean boot, please check the third-party programs one by one.
If I misunderstanding something, please feel free let us know. I'll appreciate for uploading some screenshots here.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • Firefox icon in the Taskbar will not start on the first click, sometimes needing to click 2 or 3 times for it to open (and this is after a fresh reboot with Firefox not running in Task Manager.

Upon a fresh reboot the Firefox icon in the Taskbar will not work on the first click, sometimes it will not work at all and I need to go to Start-> then click the Firefox icon in the Start menu. Why is it that the icon won't start up on the first click?

Same issue - however firefox will open but I can not click on only of my tool bar shortcuts - the writing on the google age is greyed out so I can not click on anything. Still no resolution? I have deleted the folders and re-installed - it will open and then locks and it will not work????

  • After updating to Firefox 24, Windows 7 64-bit breaks on reboot. The network icon in the taskbar not ready (blue circle stopped).

After updating Firefox 24, Windows 7 breaks after reboot. The network icon in the taskbar is not ready (blue circle over wifi network icon). But I can't do much. I can not open the network and sharing center (never opens). Even the task manager will hang when I click to show processes from all users. I have to do a system restore to have a functioning network again. I never even launched Firefox.

Thank you for your response. I agree that the steps you list should have a working Firefox 24, but it did not work. I don't know what other information to gather to help assist in diagnosing the cause. If I restored to a good state and then (re)installed Firefox 24 and reboot, I have a problem.
    Thank you.

  • I have two icons on the taskbar

On previous versions of Firefox, in Windows 7 Ultimate, I have it pinned to the taskbar, and I used to open from there and it opened normally and the icon stayed. Now, in the new version (6.0.2) I want to do the same but when I start the Firefox, in the taskbar appears another icon than the usual, so I have two Firefox icons in the taskbar and I don´t want to have two, but I want to keep it pinned to the taskbar.

Launch Firefox using the icon on the taskbar. When it opens and you see the second icon appear, right click on the ORIGINAL one and select 'unpin from the taskbar' - the original icon will disappear. Then right click the second icon and select 'pin to taskbar'.
Close & open Firefox again to verify that this has solved the problem.
    Hopefully should be job done!

  • I want a new window to open when I click the Firefox icon on the taskbar. I don't want to have to right click, then choose "open new window". I have Windows 7.

I want to be able to open a new browser window when I click on the Firefox icon on the taskbar. I don't want to have to right click and select anything. I have windows 7.

This is a "pinned" icon? Try holding the Shift key when you click it -- that seems to work for me.

  • Firefox no longer shows on my full screen. When I rollover the icon on the taskbar, it shows the way it is suipposed to be but it does not ever show full size.

Firefox was working fine yesterday. Now it's not coming up at all on my full screen but when I rollover the icon on the taskbar a mini screen comes up that shows the way it should be but it doesn't come up on the fuill screen. I did a system restore but it didn't help.

  • Icons in the taskbar-too many

I've have become familiar with java to the point where i know that when i run a java supported program it appears in the taskbar and when i close that program the icon goes away. well my icons have not been going away and not only that i have as many as 5 or 6 in there. I don't know if there is something running and I don't know how to get rid of them. Help please.

You are not the only one. At least 2 other threads have been started regarding this same topic, one of them by me.
As of now there appears to be no way to remove the speech bubble or replace the default icons. I've looked into skinning, but not deeply as I'd rather stay as stock as possible; I removed every one of the preinstalled apps except Kindle, Docs2Go and File Management.
I would like to see stock icons pushed in an update. Better yet would be stock ICS icons if they decide to push that.
Also, the speech bubble in the middle of the navigation bar is kind of annoying. I could live without that.

  • How to create icon on the taskbar

please give me some codes for this problem. I dont know how to write in C++. Thanks

I'm guessing that you're trying to put icons in the Windows system tray (where the clock is). If so, this is what you need:
    http://jeans.studentenweb.org/java/trayicon/trayicon.html
I'm searching for something completely different, and I keep seeing this question in this forum. I'm sure people would've found this a lot more easily if the term 'system tray' was more commonly known. =)

  • Want to reserve Windows 10 but don't see the icon on the taskbar possible solution

One of my laptops did not show the get windows 10 in the taskbar and the required microsoft update KB3035583 was installed, this article gave the solution by running CMD as administrator and the command to run also how to save it on your computer.Article is found here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/i-want-to-reserve-my-free-copy-of-windows-10-but-i/848b5cce-958b-49ae-a132-a999a883265b?auth=1 From the article:  1. Open Notepad 2. Copy the following text and paste it into Notepad: REG QUERY "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\UpgradeExperienceIndicators" /v UpgEx | findstr UpgExif "%errorlevel%" == "0" GOTO RunGWXreg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Appraiser" /v UtcOnetimeSend /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /fschtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" :CompatCheckRunningschtasks /query /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser"schtasks /query /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser" | findstr Readyif NOT "%errorlevel%" == "0" ping localhost >nul &goto :CompatCheckRunning:RunGWXschtasks /run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Setup\gwx\refreshgwxconfig" Click File, and then Save AsIn the File name box, change the file name to ReserveWin10.cmdThen click the dropdown next to Save as type, and select All files (*.*)Select the folder you would like to save the file to.  For this example, let’s choose to save the file to the C:/Temp folder.  Then click Save.  Open an elevated command prompt.  (From the Start screen or Start menu, type Command Prompt in the search box, and then in the list of results, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.)Finally, run the file from the location you saved to in Step 6.  In this example, you would type the following in the Command Prompt window and hit Enter:C:/Temp/ReserveWin10.cmdThe Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser can take 10 – 30 minutes to run, during which the script will continuously provide status reports that it is running.  Please be patient. After this ran I had the get Windows 10 in the taskbar.

Look on the Launchpad icon in your Dock. Or switch over to the Purchases side in App Store. If it's downloading it will take a while since Mountain Lion is over 4 GBs.

  • Why can't I install a Firefox Icon on the TASKBAR?

It would be useful to have a Firefox icon on my Taskbar, but I can't install one.

Firefox 5 can block popups itself. If the popups are ads, you can block them with Adblock Plus with an Easylist subscription.

  • Permanently Removing a Program Icon From the Taskbar

I'm runnning Windows 7 and have the Skype icon both on the desktop & the taskbar - is there a way to remove it permanently from the taskbar ? if I right click the taskbar icon & pick quit Skype it is removed but reappears when I open Skype from the desktop icon ??

have had my Lenovo laptop since last Nov. with Skype pre-installed - a couple of days ago a message appeared on the screen saying that Skype wanted to make changes to the HD - thought it was an upgrade and/or update - but now when I open Skype via the desktop shortcut icon a Skype icon also moves to the taskbar at the bottom.
has anyone else experienced this ? and does anyone know how to suppress this from happening ? I only want to open Skype from the desktop shortcut and then close Skype by X-ing out of the Skype window.
