Java and Flash not working ONLY in Safari

Ok, so Java and flash stopped working in Safari on my 10.6.8 system. It seems a recent update caused a problem and all of the normal items I have gone through have made it worse or not helped.
Java is not working in Safari (My account or guest account)

Able to use apps and other items online that are not working in Safari.
Have downloaded and installed the following and done the following
     Ran software update
     Verified Java and Java Script are enabled via Safari > Preferences > Security
     Re-installed Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 8
     Reinstalled current version of flash
     Looked around and deleted all plist, and java folders in library locations (user and main system)
     Cleared out metadata folders
     Reset Safari several times
     Java Preferences
          Cleared all cache
          Made sure no old versions there (2 entereis)
          Reset all defaults
          Removed any blocked items
Current Java version per terminal
java -version
java version "1.6.0_31"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_31-b04-415-10M3646)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.6-b01-415, mixed mode)
So - Java is up and working - works in Chrome and Firefox. Have reinstalled both from current versions. Reset all browser cache. Issue follows Safari. Normally installing these and trying again works. I do not know what other things to reset or clear out.

Yes, I got distracted for a moment with something, came back and I didn't finish reading the OP's original post, I have since edited mine.
BTW, the Mozilla plug-in checker is basically useless for Safari users, since have of those I have have no status, but work in Safari:
I don't know the causes for the "Research" one's, why there isn't a link or why it doesn't update the checker,
But at least it's infomative, as vulnerable plug-ins are responsible for MacDefender and Flashback malware attacks.
Someone with a lot of plug-ins should be running Firefox and NoScript, as your very exposed to multiple attack vectors from any of those plug-ins, which is the purpose of the web site, to get the word out about outdated plug-ins with potential security issues.

Why do links and forms on the site I am designing not work in mobile safari? They work fine in desktop browsers.
The controls change state when focused, so it's not that they're being blocked, they simply don't activate. Behavior tested and observed on iPad running iOS 6.1.2 and iPhone running iOS 7.0.2.

I had the same problem but I just found a solution. Siri mistakenly suggests to enable reminders (which you should), but the setting that enables all these, is under System Services (on the bottom of the page) -> Location Based Alerts. I had deactivated it alleviate battery problems and had forgotten about it. Hope this helps!

You tube and flash not working in safari

Is anyone finding that you tube and embedded flash video is not working using safari 6? the video window in youtube is blank, I don't even see the control buttons, flash videos embedded on other sites are similarly blank. Quick check with Firefox shows all these films play normally.

Not sure if this is relateted but as I am having the same problem, I am only having the issue on the account that has Parental Controls enabled. The admin account can open youtube just fine. The Java plug in boxes are checked, I am running in 32 bit mode. I've tried every fix I have come accross to no avail.
On a side note, ever since I installed Mountain Lion, the Mac App Store is also sketchy. The account with Parental Controls can't log in, when I click "sign in" nothing happens. No 3rd party apps such as APE or FruitMenu installed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Java and flash wont work

I went to try out the new icloud but when i logged in it said i needed java to run this. I have check the software update and everything is up to date so the computer 'thinks' java is working fine but it simply isnt there.
Also another thing i am also having this same problem with adobe flash. Not sure if there connected some how but neither of them work and the computer thinks they are already installed

You should check that you've got Java and Javascript turned on in Safari preferences:
Safari menu > Preferences.. > Security tab

Flash not working on latest safari 5.1.4

I have flashed based videos on my website and an uploader that requires flash to be installed. Does anyone know how to turn it back on in the new Safari? Everything works fine in Chrome. Would prefer to stick with Safari if its possible to fix it.

The plot thickens. Ive listed another request but just in case there is a connection I'll also connect to this post. Here is now what is happening:
To summarize: Two variables that may just be coincindental: updated Safari recently and Updated the Social Engine web core technology. Ever since I updated to the latest social engine at the end of February Ive had intermittant problems accessing my site. Most of the time Safari times out before I can enter into or land on the landing page. Ive tried three browsers and all do the same thing. Here the tricky part. All other webpages outside of my site (in other words every other site I try to go to) work fine AND others can go to the site and access it without any issues (as far as I know so far).
Here is what I've tried sometimes several times:
1. loggin in as a different user
2. Restarting the modem, timemachine router, and my computer (several times)
3. Emptying Cache of browser
4. Having the web host company tweak things on their end.
5. Trying other browsers
6. Discovered that there is a problem with the latest version of silverlight and Safari (and Chrome) but I dont have the latest installed. This iss ussue is affecting what appears only my machine.
If anyone has any clues as to what might be happening I'd appreciate the help. Im at a key junction for selling webinars off my site and now Im the only one who cant access it!

Replacing the LCD it's quite simple, just requires a lot of work and the correct tools, keep in mind that doing so will void your warranty and your phone might not be waterproof after this.

Just upgraded machine, Dreamweaver and Flash not working

I've been using Dreamweaver MX and Flash MX on my old Power Mac G5 for the last 5 years and just upgraded to a new Mac Pro Quad Core Intel Xeon processor. It is a 64 bit system using Mac OS10.6.4.
They do not run on this new machine. Is there any way to get them to run on it?
If not, do I have to pay full price for new software or is there an upgrade available?

If you want the new version you would have to pay the full price. The Adobe policy is upgrade once every 3 versions. MX was version 6, CS5 is version 11. I would recommend purchasing the new suite if you can. Otherwise, if it ran under Leopard, you may (I am not positive) be able to run Parallels with 10.5 and run MX in a virtual environment.

"copy and paste" not working only offers "cut"

I have a client working on an 11" MacBook Air purchased early this year reporting that she cannot access copy and paste across applications:
"At the moment I can’t COPY anything in Word or indeed any other documents, including emails etc. Driving me mad. Only the CUT option comes up - and as I’m working against a deadline… "
And she also reports this issue with Apple Mail which seems to have lost its preference file settings:
"Also bloody Mail programme has now changed its layout and everything is bloody FIXED - so I can’t move it about the screen while I dig up another document I need to refer to. It wasn’t like this before… again very labour intensive and irritating. I have to use my online Google mail to get around this resistance… "
I have suggested that she uses Disk Utility to repair permissions on her Hard Disk and then restart in Safe Mode to see whether Copy and Paste is restored and also that Mail is back in order, through a corrupted Preference file may require resetting.
Any body else seen any of these symptoms or have any thoughts as to a cause and a possible solution. At the back of my mind is the thought that she may have been hit by a Trojan. I'm reminded of the strange symptoms experienced by clients using MS Office when the Flashback Trojan struck in 2012.
Any help appreciated.

If you have ever inadvertently engaged keyboard zoom you will know how odd the Mac feels with such changed behaviours in place. Perhaps my client did thunder on the option key 5 times in a moment of frustration and make the leap into a parallel universe where the reassurance of Copy and Paste does not apply.
I'll report back once I've investigated further.

Adobe Flash not working shutting down Safari

So my parents Mac Mini is having issues, and it's out of warranty, and Apple Care already gave me my one free get out of jail card. When trying to open a page that has flash, Safari shuts down and says there's something wrong with the plug in. I take out flash, Safari works fine, as instructed by Apple Care, but then I can't get any flash based content. I install flash player again, and it results in the same thing.
Help please!

Have you run Utilities > DiskUtility and repaired permissions yet?
Is there some particular website where the flash is a problem, or do you encounter this problem on all flash-based websites, for example, youtube.com ?

Nokia lumia 820 camera and flash not working

Hi, i have my phone for five months,and a couple of days ago my camera stoped working..it is not broken,there isnt any physical problem with it.the buttons are frozen and grey and the screen is black. I had a hard reset a couple of times,doesnt help. I went to a phone service,they dont now whats wrong.. Please help me if you had a similar problem!!

Java and SSI Not Working on New Site?

I think we just need to update the server to get things

I have checked Java preferences, tab called general tab, and the checkboxes, both checked. java version run on the termial & it confirmed java by displaying it's version. running perfect.
The problem is java & flash not working in safari, might be because of , so?
when ever i open sites like web design company for project i wasn' t able to open such sites...

Flash is totally unrelated to Java, so what you're saying is that certain plugins are not working under Safari of which one just happens to be Java. You're the second one I see make mention of that, but the fact remains that you'd need to ask Apple what is going on with their browser.

Tutorials on the Apple Website play in Safari and Chrome, but not always in Firefox. Java and Flash plug ins are up to date.

I was trying to play the Time Machine video tutorial on the Apple Website (I have an imac 10.6.6) and it won't play in Firefox, but it will in Safari and Chrome. This has happened before but then seemed to fix itself. Other videos (Youtube for eg.) play fine. All plugs (Java and Flash) are up to date. Just wondering why this could happen.

I have had this problem for a few days, no sound in Firefox, but IE and WMP (offline) have sound, this is a Firefox ONLY problem, so the volumes are all set correctly and the drivers and needed files are there, I've tried every fix that people have suggested on Google like checking the flash player settings, creating the "missing.reg" registry file and importing it, etc...
nothing works, I may just have to switch to Safari or Chrome, I watch a lot of video online (Youtube, ESPN3, NFL.com, etc.) so this is a huge problem...
