Java beans in oracle developer suite 10g

Hello every body.
I'm a newbie in oracle. I want to use java beans in my forms. Using some examples I could write a form for login. The entered user name and password could be check in java class and then java class shows a message that says "login failed" or "login is successful". It is ok I think. But there is a problem.
The first time I type the user name and password, it seem that java class doesn't recognize it or maybe cash the before username and password. So the first time that I change the u and p the java class shows the result of before user. In java class I just have a simple if clause to check u and p.
In fact the sequence of execution of my program is like this:
Correct username and password ---> login failed
Correct username and password ---> login is successful
Correct username and password ---> login is successful
Correct username and password ---> login is successful
Wrong username and password ---> login is successful
Wrong username and password ---> login failed
Wrong username and password ---> login failed
Wrong username and password ---> login failed
Correct username and password ---> login failed
Correct username and password ---> login is successful
Correct username and password ---> login is successful
what can I do? should I clear the cash? where is it's cash? Any solution is really really appreciated.

Can you send me the .fmb & the .java,.class or the .jar file for login bean.
I will try in my pc and let u know the problem.

I would like to immigrate from Oracle Developer 6.0 to Oracle Developer Suite 10g for our company application. I had a design tool called as Graphics Builder in Developer 6.0 but What I see in Oracle Developer Suite 10g that this tool doesn't exist any more. I still need to use all Graphics of the company application.
Is Graphics Builder out of the Developer package of Oracle any more ? If yes, then how can I make the design of Graphics in Developer Suite ? Is it a seperate tool any more I should have next to Developer Suite 10g ?
I would be glad if experinced colleaques guide me on this ?

Is Graphics Builder out of the Developer package of Oracle any more ?Yes, Oracle has discontinued the "Graphics Builder product. In order to include graphical charts in your 10g Form you will need to use the BI Graph Bean that is included in the <a href="http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html">Oracle Forms 11g Downloads</a> - Oracle Forms 11g Demo Pack. Download this .zip file and look at the *demos.html* document for instructions on how to use this Java Bean.

Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) And Webutil

Does Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) already contains
preinstalled webutil or shall i have to install or configure it seperately (manually)?
If is there any version of Oracle Developer Suite which have already installed webutil, i mean there will be no need to install or configure webutil seperately.

Reading the webutil.cfg file, you have to unzip the files in the directory pointed by the install.syslib.location variable.

How to make a text formatting tools in oracle developer suite 10G R2

Dear Oracle Expert,
This is my configurations:

I create this form but i want it in that way. So, i can format the text written in text box, such as BOLD, Italic, make a url link etc.

I am bit of confusing for this command C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\webutil\sign_webutil cuz here sign_webutil is used for webutil configuration. Just let me assure, that this is the right command or not. And if your answer is no, then what it will be.

Be aware that Developer Suite 10gR2 is not supported for use on Windows 7. Installing it on this platform may result in undesirable behavior.

Problems installing Oracle Developer Suite 10g in windows 7

Hi Experts;
I have installed Oracle Developer Suite 10g in windows XP, but now I change to windows 7, 64 bits, I was trying to install this product and I'm having a lot of problems, apparently this product is not compatible with windows 7.
My question is, is there any product, like Oracle Developer Suite 10g for windows 7? I was looking for in the Oracle page, and I couldn't see anything, may be the name is diferent.

First off, Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g is no longer supported so Oracle has discontinued improving the product. While ODS is not certified by Oracle for use on Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit), you can install and use on Windows 7 (32/64 bit). This is a commonly asked question so a search of the forum would have given you several solutions.
The limitations of the Oracle installer are:
1. You must have Administrator rights to install.
2. Windows 7 is not a supported version (it's version 6 and it is looking for version 5), so the installer exits.
3. It's unable to recognize Windows Managed virtual memory.
To get around these limitations you must do the following:
1. Modify your Virtual Memory settings and define a specific Min and Max amount. Look at this MS article if you need help making this change: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/change-the-size-of-virtual-memory
2. You must run the Oracle installer in compatibility mode for Windows XP. To do this,
- Right-click on the setup.exe and select the Compatibility tab and click "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP SP2"
3. While still in the properties and the compatibility tab, select the option, "Run as Administrator" and click OK.
Now run the Oracle setup.exe and your installation should succeed.

Installation of an Oracle Developer Suite 10g on Windows XP doesnt work

Hello.
I try to instal Oracle Developer Suite 10g on Windows XP. I run setup.exe from DISK1 directory. Universal installer starts and Welcome screen appears. I click "Next" to "Specify file locations" screen. But when I choose Source Path and Destination Name and Path and I click "Next" again, nothing happens. In installation log I can see strange error message. You can see it in part of log bellow:

Are you logged in as an administrator?
I wouldn't install in Program Files anyway. I'm not sure, but I have a gut feeling that Oracle doesn't like spaces in file and directory names. Install in C:\Oracle directory.

Developer Suite 10 is not certified or supported to be installed on Win7 (64bit). Although it can be done, you will have problems later if you manage to get it installed. If you really want to have it on your Win7 laptop, I encourage you to install "Windows XP Mode", which is part of Windows Virtual PC. This is free to licensed Win7 users (does not apply to Home edition). Refer to the following:

This is a very common question in the Forum. Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g R2 (with patchset 3: 10.1.3.0.2) is supported on Windows 7 32-bit. Last I checked, it was not supported on Windows 7 64-bit. Keep in mind, that this is just for the developer install of ODS. Version 10.1.2.0.2 is not supported, but it will work. Just follow the instructions installing on Windows Vista (search the forum - there are many posts on this topic as well).
The client application is supported on all versions of Windows (32 or 64 bit).

Unable to install Oracle Developer Suite 10g on Windows 7

Hello,
I'm getting the following error message when using OUI on the Specify File Locations screen after providing source and destination:
Invalid staging area. There are no top level components for Windows NT, Windows 2000 available for installation in this staging area.
Anyone else have this happen while trying to install? I see that a few people have been successful in getting it installed. The destination was provided by default as C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

The Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g is now certified by Oracle for installation on Windows 7 (32-bit). For installation steps, I recommend you take a look at My Oracle Support article: *How to Install Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2) on Windows 7 (32-bit) [ID 1292919.1]*. There is no need to run the XP-Mode (Virtual PC) of Windows 7 in order to install and use ODS on Windows 7.
Invalid staging area. There are no top level components for Windows NT, Windows 2000 available for installation in this staging area.This error could be caused by many things. I've seen two. The first (as I recall) was caused by an issue with one of the files in the Inventory directory. We were able to get around the issue by deleting a file (I'm sorry, but I don't recall which file or if we simply deleted the directory). I recommend you check with Oracle Support before you delete any files or the directory, however.
The other issue I've seen cause this is "spaces" in the directory path to the installer. This was the most common cause that I've seen. Make sure there are no spaces in the directory path where the installer is located.

Using Oracle Developer Suite 10g with the 10g Express Edition Database

I'm new to Oracle and I'm taking an SQL college level course using a text book entitled "Guide to Oracle 10g". Our text book came with Oracle Developer Suite 10g (9.0.4.0.1) but no database. We adopted the 10g Express Edition (XE) as the database. I have both the database and the Developer Suite loaded on Windows XP Pro. I've been using the database for months now and it runs fine and the Developer Suite installed OK.
However, I would like to use some of the Developer Suite apps (for learning purposes) with the database but I can't seem to log on to the database through the Developer apps when I open them and use my 10g XE database user-name and password. For starters, I would like to see if I could use the edition of SQLPlus (release 9.0.1.4.0) that comes with the Developer Suite because it has configuration options that are not available in the SQLPlus command line version that 10g XE contains (which otherwise works fine).
When I open SQLPlus (Developer Suite Version) and try to log on with my database user name and password (and no host string), I get the error:
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
I did search the discussion forum first and also reviewed some Oracle pdf's including the concepts pdf but came up empty. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to succeed or a determination of the compatibility of 10g XE with the Developer Suite. Thanks kindly.
