Java console not displaying

I have "Show console" enabled in my Java Preferences Panel and the latest version of Java from Oracle installed. Running Mavericks 10.9.3. For some reason my Java console is not showing up?

Basically,
just to add to it...
I am trying to access a website that has a NETLET from Sun Microsystems display
when accessing the website. When i do that from my computer...the NETLET does not
display...The NETLET runs on Jvm..virtual machine...I wondering if anyone knows why this isn't working...This relates to the Java console not working off of Internet Explorer..they seem to be correlated..Thank you

  • Serial console not displaying login

    Hi all:
Got a headless SUN E420R with 2.8 installed.
Have a Lantronix device hooked up to the ttya port.
Doing a telnet to the device/port I get the telnet response saying it is connected but I never get the login prompt back.
We have 10 other same SUN servers hooked up in similar fashion yet they provide login prompt fine. I have been through admintool but I see no differences between them.
    Many thanks

  • Java console not accessible, will not load from FFx tools dropdown menu (had same prob with 3.6.15). Latest Java installed and IS accessible thru control panel

XP OS, have NoScript installed, disabled, Java console still will not load from FFx.

I followed your instructions and installed Developer Suite 10G on Windows Vista Home Premium edition. I have Oracle 11G DB running on the same machine.
    Two points, Steve:
    1. When I tried to set the maximum virtual memory to 6110 an error message displayed from Windows and told me that I can't set the maximum virtual memory to more than 4096. I set it to 4090 and it worked and I got nothing wrong during the installation process.
    2. After installing JInitiator and disabling Java on Firefox I called the http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet page and everything seemed to be OK because the Oracle Forms Services logo appeared and then a successful installation message appeared , but as I clicked (ok) to continue a gray screen appeared inside the browser (like the one displayed when you try to run a Java applet inside a browser) and then I wait to death till something appears but sadly nothing. I just get a blank gray screen inside my Firefox browser.
Do you have any idea what to do to solve the problem?
    Regards

  • Java applets won't load, have latest version of java installed, have removed all old versions from the hard drive, java console not working in firefox, any suggestions please ?

    java applets will not load,
i have run the java test page & i have the latest version installed.
have removed all old versions of java from my hard drive & restarted the computer.
i have checked that java is enabled in the plug-ins and it is with version se 6 u22, also something called java development toolkit 6.0.220.4 np runtime script plug-in library for java (tm) deploy.
if i click on java console in tolls nothing happens

    Hi,
You might want to look in your control panel for 'Java' icon. It should give you an option to enable java plugin into your browser. Let me know if you still face the issue.
    Thanks!

  • Java Applet not displaying in Internet Explorer Options

For some reason my Internet Explorer browser is refusing to use Java. I've installed IE 8 and reinstalled the Java application, yet when I go to check the IE Options, the Java Applet does not even display as a selectable option. It works just fine in Firefox, which is what baffles me. As a direct result of this, my Java Desktop applications aren't working properly either. I have one that creates custom playing cards and I can change the backgrounds and view all my cards, but it will not save the information, an error of which I believe to be related to how Java isn't working with IE 8.
Any ideas? I've made sure that my virus protection is up to date. I'm at my wits end.

I'm having this exact or a very similar issue on Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) laptop with JRE 1.6.0_17

Java does not appear in my Internet Options advanced tab. This is the main problem I have, Java is nowhere to be seen under Internet Options

And, in the Java control panel advanced default browser for Java, the IE is checked but greyed out. Same thing here
Only thing I can think of is that I've installed both the 32 bit and 64 bit JRE on this machine so I can have Java on both IE 32 bit an IE 64 bit.
Mght that come into play here?

  • Java apps not displaying correctly

    Hi.
I'm having a problem with Java apps, as they seem to simply not display correctly. They are supposed to be Aqua, but it doesn't exactly work, since the actual controls don't appear, but besides that the program seems to carry out what it's supposed to (besides not displaying it correctly.)
I tried removing some Java-related setting files and stuff, but it still doesn't exactly work as it should.

The problem isn't with the Window Manager you use, but the java runtime you have installed. If you have openjdk6 installed, try removing it and install jre and jdk instead. If you have jre and jdk installed, install openjdk6 and see what happens.
I think you're using openjdk6, since I remember hearing problems using it and topcoder.

  • Java console not compatible with 6.01 Mozilla update

Since the 6.01 Firefox update, I can no longer view flash panels and some images are not appearing on web sites. I look and found all the java consoles greyed out with the message they were incompatible with 6.01 Firefox. So what do I do now? I also notice that websites suddenly disappear when I did not close them. Please fix this problem.

    Hi catnip009:
I can confirm cor-el's information that it is "normal" for the Java Console extension to be disabled in FF6 (see my post [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/870013#answer-247544 here] for instructions on how to test your Java installation).
When you say "flash panels", do you mean that '''Adobe Flash''' doesn't seem to be working on some web sites with FF6?
If that's the case, then try the following:
First, check your Flash installation [http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ here] on the Adobe web site. If your Flash isn't working or you don't have the latest Flash v. 10.3.183.7, do the following:
    # Uninstall Adobe Flash from the Windows Control Panel
    # Download and run the [http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html Adobe Flash Uninstall Utility] to clean out remnants of any old installation
    # Re-boot your PC
    # Run the Adobe Flash Uninstall Utility again for safe measure
    # Download the Adobe Flash v. 10.3.183.7 standalone plugin installer (the non-IE NPAPI version) from the FileHippo site [http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/10462/ here] . Be sure to download v. 10.3.183.7 (the current stable version) and not a beta test version. '''Save the installation file to your hard drive and do not run the installation from your browser'''
    # Install Adobe Flash from the Run command (Start | Run) with the new installation file with all browsers and instant messenger software closed
    # Check your new Flash installation [http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ here].
If you also use the IE browser, the ActiveX version of Flash v. 10.3.183.7 for IE can be downloaded from FileHippo [http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/10461/ here]. If you prefer you can re-install Flash from the Adobe site ([http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ here] for auto-detection of OS and default browser; [http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ here] for any version of Flash), but I prefer using the standalone installers from FileHippo because Flash occasionally doesn't install correctly when you run the installation from the Adobe site via your web browser.

  • Admin Console not displaying new Users and Groups from LDAP

We created a new Realm in WebLogic, which specifies the location of the Netscape
LDAP server. Our Weblogic application, called TGSLC, is able to find the ldap

Admin Console display any users and groups specified in the ldap server, which

    Hi Andy,
I am not sure why you are unable to see the users and groups through the
console., you should be able to. Can you post the config.xml?
    thanks,

  • Comments in DNS/DHCP Java console not editable after SP2

Upgraded to OES11 SP2 (on SLES11 SP3) and now when using the DNS/DHCP Java console (Win 64) we get the following error when attempting to edit or create a comment for a host: "This functionality is not supported in this version of OES DHCP Server"
Is it correct that we can not use the comments field any more? no note of that as a change in the docs...
    Thanks for any assistance.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem, but have to add: I think it's not just the comment field. Applying any changes after creating a record throws this error.

Hi I'm using fire fox 4.0. when I click on the Java console nothing happens

Java 6 U22 is installed. That is however and older version.
Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

I've had the same problem (in IE). I have to kill IE and restart it
         quite often.
Also, Opera has significant problems with displaying the console (the
         left-hand applet).
         It may be a JVM-versioning, which I haven't checked yet. I'm using
the 1.4 plug-in JVM, not the default 1.1 JVM (circa 1997) of
         MonopolySoft.
