JAVA Install problem with EP Sneak Preview

I am trying to install the Enteprise Portal Sneak Preview edition from the SDN website. According to the instructions it asks for me to download the JDK from sun website and use it. However when I run the SAPINST program, and try to install according to the instructions, the install asks me for the SAP JAVA CD, which I dont have (there is no download for it) And I can not proceed any further.
I am stuck on this bump for three days now and want to start working on this tool.
Any help is greatly appreciated

i just popped in as i am also considering the installation of the ep 6.0 sneak preview (i just finished downloading the necessary files).
i had a look at the quick install. guide, and of course i am facing questions straight away...
i've got the j2sdk1.4.2_05 (dev.kit) runnning and the j2re1.4.2_05 (runtime environment).
under requirements the guide says JDK 1.4.2_06 ...
does it really have to be 1.4.2_06 or is my 05 version sufficient?
at sun.com they've got 07 in the shelf for download...
higher versions will do, or not?
I just downloaded j2eesdk-1_4-windows.exe (in case I might need it - but if so, is that the right tool?)
are there any other pain points, which might appear and where the inst. guide is not clear?

i just downloaded nw dev stu 2.0.7 sneak preview...successfully.
now then..when i did try to install by executing SAPsetup.exe i get this msg
"This application has failed to start because sapfeiut.dll was not found,Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
let me know what do i do.....its urgent that i get started with the portal basics...pls F1 asap.

Problem with Quicktime stops Preview in Photoshop? Mac OSX 10.6.8

There were no warnings about Lion blocking old software when I installed Lion. Because purchasing new software was beyond my budget,
I had it removed and went back to Leopard 10.6.8. Now when I'm working in Photoshop and have adjusted an image, a message appears "Because of a problem with Quicktime, a preview can't be built. Quicktime Player 10 is in the Applications folder, and Quicktime Play 7 is in the Utilities folder.
Quicktime movies in Support on the Apple site won't play either. Please advise steps to take or new download.

I have successfully installed the WAS Sneak Preview and able to run the same. But getting struck while trying to work in conjunction with the EP Sneak Preview downloaded from SDN. Help me out installing/configuring it. Your immediate help is highly appreciated.

Problems Installing SAP Web AS - (Sneak Preview Edition)

I am coming across this frustrating problem when I attempt to install SAP Web AS - J2EE System.
I am:
-logged in as the local Administrator on a Windows 2000 server (SP4)
-I have installed SQL 2000 Server Enterprise
-I have patched SQL to 3A
-I have installed the Microsoft QFE
-I have installed the corrected Collation.
Towards the beginning of the installation; the install stops with the error:

Thanks I solved the password problem differently , after I had tried using different passwords in vain, I selected the second installation option other than "Local Install". Then I unistalled, then reinstalled with "Local Installation" option that prompted me for new passwords.
The installation was almost 98% complete, but jcontrol.exe could not start up, I have already logged that error here, so I unistalled and now trying hard to rinstall, but some how MAXDB is stuck in my registry, I have tried to remove it using Contrl Panel -> Add Remove programs in vain, I deleted SAPDB from the hard drive, I went to the Local Machine in the regedit32.exe tried to remove anything to do with SAP because I could not see anything else to do with MAXDB or Xserver but I am still getting the error:-

Guide me how do download the Java Edition of the Netweaver Sneak preview

Can Some one please guide me how do I download the Java edition , I have Core FTP installed, On doing a save target as it asks me whehther to use Core FTP for file transfer, on choosing yes it a status window which says connecting,with source and destination values and then gives a message NW04SneakPrevJavaSP11.part1.rar-File not found....
and thereafter the File Download Dialog still remains trying to find for the source location.....
Some Kindly guide me the right way to do it

I just tried to download, no problem. I click on Downloads -> Web AS -> New! Sneak Preview -> Download file 1 and get a popup where to save the file.
Please try again with the given path.
By the way, it should be enough to post your problem once

Practicing XI with both sneak preview stacks?

Hello,
i have been reading posts regarding possibilities of practicing XI with sneak preview and have learned that it is not included with currently available installations.
I could have successfully install both ABAP and JAVA stacks and am able to use them as 2 systems installed at one computer. (NSP, J2E).
I can see that i have access to SLD by Java stack, and some XI related transactions by ABAP stack.
considering above, my questions are;
1 - Installing both sneak previews has no any use of practicing XI?
2 - Is there a separate installation for some other XI related component beside the ones on abap and java stacks?
3 - any news on an upcoming XI sneak preview?

Error starting the Config Tool with NW04s Sneak Preview

All...
I am running the Java NW04s Sneak Preview (SP9).
When I try to start the config tool, I get the following error on the dos session
The system cannot find the path specified.
Program terminated abnormally
Press any key to continue...
I realize that this is probably a very simple problem to fix... so can anyone tell me how?
Also... when I log on to the Visual Administrator or the NetWeaver Administrator, I cannot edit any parameters. I have tried logging in as "Administrator" and as "admin". Is the Sneak Preview locked out, or am I doing something wrong?

I did check the bat file, and it says:

EP 7.0 Install Problem with JDK path

Im having a problem with installing EP 7.0 on Solaris. We had Solaris 8 and then performed a fresh install of Solaris 10. Solaris 10 had Java 1.5. When performing the EP install at the step to supply the JDK directory message stating 1.5.0 was not supported. I had to install JDK from 1.4. family. I stopped the install and UNIX group installed 1.4.2_13. I now receive message that directory /usr/bin is not a valid JDK directory:the java executable is missing. The UNIX team told me this is the valid directory path. I am not sure what the exact problem is. I stopped the install and provided the environment variable JAVA_HOME=/usr/bin and the same problem. Has anyone come across this problem maybe my version is not correct. Any ideas on what could be wrong are greatly appreciated.

Hi Martin,
why are you pointing JAVA_HOME variable to /usr/bin.
JAVA_HOME must always point to the directory where JAVA installation resides.So for you it might be /j2sdk1.4.2_13 if the JAVA installation directory is j2sdk1.4.2_13.
If this does not solve ur problem.
Please let me know the exact step where u r facing with the problem.

- OS: Windows XP Professional
- Loopback adapter is installed and working
- hosts file contains correct IP-address
- the groups SAP_NSP_LocalAdmin and SAP_NSP_GlobalAdmin were created in step 3
- I can create the accounts nspadm and SAPServiceNSP by hand (with the same user!) and the installation continues but I ran into further errors in step 4.
Who can help?

What I did : create manually the user nspadm and NSPServiceAdm under Windows user.
pb was, as it is a company computer, we also have policies about what to put in passwords (capital letter, special caracters etc ...)
Now I'll see until which step I can go.

Problems with the photo preview

Z10 is a great mobile.
1 - Since I had it I never had problems with it. However now my mobile is not doing the preview of the photos taken by the camera.
I open the camera app, take a picture... then close the app. If I go to images the picture does not appear. However if I turn the mobile off and then on the picture will appear in the preview on images.
Could this be a result of any app that I did install?
How can I solve this?
2 - All my paid apps from BB World are always available there with my BB id even if for some reason I had to format the mobile?

Not sure what the problem could be. Could be an app. Could be something else.
When it happens again, do a soft reset. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02141 Afterward, see how long it takes for the problem to reappear, and whether there is anything consistent about it happening again.
You could try deleting apps one at a time and testing. If it were me and the problem is frequent and irritating, I would go straight to doing a backup and then a security wipe.

did anyone experience this?
i can't install any java file (.jar or .jad) to my n95.
i was able to install any jar app but suddenly i can't install any jar file
any ideas?
i tried to install both to memory card or to phone memory.
while the installation bar is in progress suddenly an alert says "unable to install"...
i have no problem with sys and sysx files...
