Java.rmi.UnmarshalException: skeleton class not found but required for clie
Hello everyone,
I am new to RMI and getting a strange exception. I am using Java 1.5.0_07 both on client and server. They are running on the same machine, the rmi registry is started inside the server application.
I am wondering why java complains about skeletons, I thought they are automatically created when using java 5.0?
Please have a look at the stacktrace below.
Thank you for your help.
Best Regards
Patric

where is the problem....??

Classes not found when compiling for jdk1.3.1_01 on red hat 7.2
I have just installed jdk1.3.1_01 (rpm) on linux red hat 7.2
I have written a small program to test, however, the compiler isn't able to locate the classes.
import javax.swing.*;
public class JTest {
public static void main( String args[] )
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog( null, "Hello", "Test Dialog",
JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE );
System.exit( 0 );
When compiled it generates the error:
JTest.java:10: error:Variable "JOptionPane" is not defined in current context
I have the path and classpath set to what I think are the correct directory paths.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks..Sorry, typo in the classpath... but now when I compile
I get error: "segmentation fault" then nothing else.
This also happens when I execute a precompiled app (eg
"java OldApp").This is to do with GLIBC-2.2, I believe. :/ (Pointed out by Niteen. :)
"ulimit -s 2048" should fix this. Adding this line to /etc/profile or your ~/.profile shall automatically run this command every log in.

Class not found javax.swing.JLabel
Hello,
I'm using JDK 1.3.0 and now I tried the first time to include Swing components into my Applet. When I compile the coding there are no errors and even when I use a standard coding example I always get the "class not found error message" for the swing component. When I don't use swing components I don't get any error message and the applet is loaded properly.
Do I have to trigger the applet in the html coding in a different way or can anybody give me a hint on that?
JensI also imported the swing classes, but the error pops up either...

I am facing a problem when i am going to generate Stub and Skeleton using rmic command, but it gives the error that
Error: "class not found"
Please help me.its urgent.Run rmic -depend to ensure that any classes referenced by the server classes are also compiled. Also, run rmic from inside the directory of your project beside the root of your package.

Then cd into directory work/ and run:

Interesting Class Not Found Exception on Client Side of RMI
I am having trouble getting my client to start up using RMI. I am running my server on a linux platform and everything seems to be starting up just fine. Here is how I start the server:
WEBSITE=/home/ian/html
SOFTWARE=/home/ian/software
java -ea \
-cp $WEBSITE/BNS/classes/ \
-Djava.rmi.server.codebase=http://1.paturi.usher.ucsdsys.net/BNS/classes/ \
-Djava.security.policy=/home/ian/software/BNS/RMI.policy \
-DPREP=$SOFTWARE/prepped \
-DARCH=$SOFTWARE/output \
BNS.plumbing.Server $WEBSITE is my Apache Server home folder, which is running. However, now I move to a Windows machine and run IE or Firefox. I navigate to the Apache server and it comes up. Yet, when I try to logon to a client it tells me that the client is not inited.
Opening the Java Console reveals this error:

BNS.plumbing.Client is not a Stub method. I have a ClientLiason class which provides the stub and it does not seem to have problem there. Also, when I simply navigate to [http://1.paturi.usher.ucsdsys.net/BNS/classes/BNS/plumbing/] the Client.class file is clearly there waiting to be used.
Here is what I run when starting server side to get the RMIRegistry (which has been started without a problem):
SessionHost sh = new SessionHost();
System.err.println("created an instance of "+ sh.getClass()+" as server");
Registry reg= LocateRegistry.getRegistry();
System.out.println(reg);
reg.rebind(Constants.serviceName, sh);
System.out.println(reg);
System.err.println(Constants.serviceName+" server ready.");I have played around with the Registry reg=LocateRegistry.getRegistry() line in particular. I have tried passing in "localhost" and "1.paturi.usher.ucsdsys.net" but all to no avail. Then latter is linux machine that I am using. It is a cluster server at UCSD. In order to access it I must first ssh into a UCSD machine and from there ssh into my machine (this is because it is not a full-fledged ip address, but part of UCSD's domain). I think this might have something to do with the trouble I have accessing the class file when I tried to get at them through a browser directed to my Apache Server.
I am not the greatest network guy, I know a lot more about programming and I am at my wits end here. I have searched everything I can think of, with little success. If anybody has any ideas or can even point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
IanI think your codebase annotation is being lost because Client.class is on the CLASSPATH of the Registry. There are two solutions:
1. Start the rmiregistry command in a directory other than the root of the package structure, e.g. /.
2. Use LocateRegistry.createRegistry() instead of getRegistry() in the server, and don't start the rmiregistry command at all. -

ManishHi Manish,
It seems that you are using a custom security provider and the weblogic server is not able to find the class / jar file that contains the class.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class com.msl.security.providers.SessionPrincipal]
Make sure you have all the required jar files in the server classpath.
You can use the JarScan utility to find the jar that contains the class.

Hi,
I configured scenario FILE TO JDBC, the sender channel is successful but in the receiving I am getting the error that java.lang.class not found.
In the receiver communication channel, I gave "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserverdriver".
what database connection parameters need to be given??
Thanks,
Satish.Whats your database ?
As Suresh said, did you deploy your JDBC driver ?
How to ?

After configuring your communication channel, did you check the Adapter Monitor

I'm using OC4J 9.0.2.1 and JDeveloper 9.0.2 with Oracle db. I have a set of queues created in the database.
Before I try to send my request, I create an instance of the serializable object I want to send. I do all of my queue connection setup, then I call:
queueSession.createObjectMessage(request);
Where "queueSession" is a QueueSession obtained from "queueConnection.createQueueSession()".
When I step over this function call, I get the following:
oracle.jms.AQjmsException: JMS-109: Class not found: com.attws.it.bsa.felix.mci.common.ServiceInfoRequest
(The indicated class name is the type of the "request" object.)
What could I be doing wrong?The code below creates the following classes when I compile it (using jsk1.3):
DistanceBarApplication2.class
DistanceBarApplication2$1
DistanceBarApplication2$2
DistanceBarApplication2$3
DistanceBarApplication2$DistanceBar2
The error I receive is: load: class DistanceBarApplication2 not found

Getting the Adapter Class Not Found Error in the Java Manipulator
Hi,
I wrote a custom java manipulator for the baseline update and created a jar file for the class. This works fine in the Windows machine. All I have to do is while specifying the CLASSPATH, I entered the ./ib/newManipulator.jar; ./lib/additional_dependency.jar. When I tried to deploy the same code in the Unix environment, it fails saying the Adapter Class not found. The only difference from windows and Unix environment is that in the windows machine, in order to run the base line update, I go to the directory my_project->control->baseline_update.bat but in case of Unix environment I have a separate location where I have a shell script called run-baseline-update.sh located at /apps/bin which invokes the baseline.sh in the directory my_project/control/baseline.sh. I even tried to put the full path of the jar files e.g. /my_project/lib/newManipulator.jar; /my_project/lib/additional_dependency.jar in the class path but still the same issue. Any suggestions?Unix classpath needs ":" as the path separator, not ";". Changing that will make this work.
For reference, later versions of the deployment template make this configurable, so you'd see (in environment.properties):
# PATH_SEP_VARNAME: for platform-independence
PATH_SEP_VARNAME=;
# Forge needs record store libraries as well as Spring to load record store adapter configuration files
FORGE_CLASSPATH=./config/lib/java/spring-delegate-adapter-1.0.1.jar${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}./config/lib/java/spring.jar${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}./config/lib/java/eacToolkit.jar${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}./config/script${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}.
You can then add the following to your <forge /> definition in AppConfig.xml:
<arg>--javaClasspath</arg>
<arg>${FORGE_CLASSPATH}</arg>
Hope this helps.
