JAXB 2.0 in the NWDS

Hi Folks,
I would like to use JAXB 2.0 to generate classes from an XSD file .
Unfortunately I get errors when import the Java package into NWDS - NWDS does not recognise the annotations.
I am using NWDS version 2.0.20. Is this an NWDS problem or perhaps a JRE versioning problem (JRE is 1.5). Have I missed something?
Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

I think you must got an Error  “unable to marshal type because it is missing an @XmlRootElement annotation]”

  • Unable to update features using the NWDS Update Manager

    I'm updating the NWDS and selecting the features to install from https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710
    It hung midway while downloading:: plugins/com.sap.engine.clientapis_2.0.0.101103141034.jar (9928K of 10560K bytes)
    I had to force kill the NWDS and when I restarted it and tried to update the features again, it doesn't try to download the clientapis jar that failed to download before. I don't find this jar in the eclipse\plugins folder either, so why does it skip this jar?
    By the way, the features to install automatically listed were as below:
    - https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710
      - SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio CE 7.1 SP11 PAT000
       - SAP Netweaver Developer Studio Java EE 8.0.110000.101103141042

       - SAP Netweaver Developer Studio Composition Tools 8.0.110000.101103141042
    Now it gets repeatedly hung while downloading the jar file
      plugins/com.sap.devmanual.doc.user_1.1....818085804.jar everytime I kill and restart and try to update.
    The way I update is from the Help menu->Install/Update->Search for new features to install.
    In the "Product Configuration" I see the below
    - SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
      - E:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\CE\eclipse
        - SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Platform 8.0.110000.101103141042

           - SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Composition Environment 7.1.7.1.0.101103141042
    Can someone please help understand what is happening and how to get the update manager working, before I get fired from my job for showing no productivity since 2 days? If it is a matter of the mirror being down, can you tell how I can choose a different mirror for a site in the Eclipse Update Manager?

    Is there any issue with connection to the network(internet) fromt he NWDS?
    Usually, NWDS is unable to connect to network due to incorrect Network Connection parameters.
    As a workaround, try to locate an existign installation of the NWDS with all the plugins. Ontain those files and save it in your NWDS folder.

  • Systems are not available in the NWDS but in the Web-client

    I'm at presnt using the VC 7.11 in the web client. For enlarging the default components by a couple of own one I'm trying to use VC in the NWDS. Now I'm facing the problem that the default systems (Busniess Objects, Portal Content, Portlet Applications, Services Registry, Visual Composer Model, Web Dynpro Application, Web Dynpro Component) are shown in the "Search" panel but not those which I have created e.g. our ERP system.
    I have no clou what I'm doing wrong.
    Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

    Ok, it seems I was finally able to answer my questions by my own. For a System in the NWDS you have to create the system once again under Window > Preferences > Destination Configurations > R/3 Configuration ([https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-102007?treeid=DOC-99669|https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-102007?treeid=DOC-99669])

  • Using JAXB 2.0 as the Java Serializer for WSIF bindings

    Hello All:
    I am trying to invoke a Java Class from a BPEL process (using native WSIF Java Binding) using JAXB 2.0 as the Java Serializer. However it seems that Oracle already has an older verion of JAXB on the classpath which results in an exception during the serialization (could not find jaxb.properties in the package ...). Can you guys tell me how to pick up the newer version of the JAXB library. I have added the required jar files as a shared library. How can the classloading behaviour be altered to accomodate this?
    Does 10.1.3.4 take care of this? I have 10.1.3.3 currently

    Hi,
    Did you ever solve this issue? I'm having the same problem with toplink and hibernate jars....

  • "Invalid project description" when imporing an existing project to the NWDS

    Hello,
    I am trying to import an existing project to the NWDS and I am getting this error:
    "Invalid project description."
    Details: "C:/workspace/<project_name> and C:/workspace overlap."
    In .project I can't see anything unusual. Any idea?

    Hi,
    I know that one of the options for import (at least for NWDS CE) is to have it copy all files into the current workspace of the NWDS, regardless of the source folder of the old project.
    If the old project happens to allready be a subfolder of the current workspace I can imagine it would produce an error similar to the one you get (but I've never seen it).
    Which version of NWDS are you using?
    Cheers
    Dagfinn

  • Where to download the NWDS?

    Hello to all,
    just returning from the JA100 course, i would like to download the NWDS which - according to what the teacher told us - is a free-of-charge download. I REALLY tried, but i didn't find it in the downloads. Can anybody help me?
    Thanx

    Hi,
    You can download the latest version of NWDS from the Service Market Place, https://websmp202.sap-ag.de.
    And you can find the installation guide at https://websmp202.sap-ag.deinstguides->SAP Netweaver (from Left menu)->Release 2004s->Installation->Installation Clients
    Also you can find the sneak preview in SDN. Remember to make sure that the version/ SP level of NWDS is always at the same level as the engine in which you are deploying to.

    tv2.setText("ZIP Code");
    tv2.setHoverMenu(hover);

    And you mentioned associating textview with hovermenu.
    I can't find the hoverMenuId attribute in the properties panel of my TextView.

  • Unable to import Development Configuration at the NWDS

    Hello,
    I am trying to import a Development Configuration at the NWDS after successfully created a track.
    When I do that I receive this error message:
    Client J2E_APPL_D: absoluteLocalRoot
    (='C:\workspaceDC\1\') is already used by another client.
    1. I am the only one who is using this Development Configuration.
    2. There is no such folder 1 under my workspaceDC folder.
    Why is this happening and what can I do to solve it?

    Thank you very much Pascal.
    Problem solved indeed.
    For some reason it is possible to give points at the moment but I promise I'll do that once it will be corrected.

  • Where do the portal server saves all the NWDS plugins

    Hello,
    Where do the portal server saves on his side all the plugins/packages that are available in my NWDS and does it have other packages that I don't have and need?

    10X Harish but I am looking for the folder themselfs as they appear at the NWDS plugins directory...
    I found many of them at the ...\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps. Is this the right place?
    And another question: Often I can't find any available imports on the NWDS plugins but I find it on the server, for example:
    com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.IPcdAttribute is not available at any of the NWDS plugins but it is available on the server at: com.sap.portal.pcd.glservice\lib\gl_api.jar. Why is that?

  • Create an XI webservice and import it to the NWDS

    Hi all,
    i created a webservice via the "define webservice" option in XI/PI. But when i try to use it in my NWDS the following error occurs:
    Exception on creation of service metadata for WSDL URL ......
    I read multiple threads and blogs about defining a webservice via XI but perhaps i still made something wrong.
    The XI scenario is an IDOC (ORDERS.ORDERS05) in xml format that lays on a server. By a senderagreement it is importet to XI. From there the receiver businesssystem sends it to the R3 system.
    How would you create the webservice in XI? Let's say the outbound interface is called MI_ORDERS_OUT. As the inbound interface i use the IDOC "ORDERS.ORDERS05".
    Sorry but i've really got no idea whats wrong with the created webservice. A pre-defined webservice like the google.wsdl works fine.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Steven

    Hi Hui, hi Chilla
    thanks for your answers but thats what i did.
    At least i'm wondering why i can't import the created webservice in my NWDS. It always aborts with the error mentioned above.
    Perhaps i'll describe what i did to create the webservice. The XI interface is running accordingly. But now i want to start the interface in my NWDS in a WebDynrpo application using a webservice which is created in XI.
    The outbound interface is:  MI_SO_IDOCTEST_ORDERS_OUT
    inbound interface            :  ORDERS.ORDERS05
    communication channel  :  SO_IDOCTEST_ORDERS_FILE_OUT
    SOAP sender channel    :  SO_IDOCTEST_SOAP_OUT
    (configured with interface name : MI_SO_IDOCTEST_ORDERS_OUT and
                           interface namespace :  http://sycor/xi/sotemp02)
    In "define webservice" i entered the following values:
    SOAP URL                    :  http://sygosrv02:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS_SOTEST_T:SO_IDOCTEST_SOAP_OUT
    Specify the interface       :  MI_SO_IDOCTEST_ORDERS_OUT
    the next vaules are not needed for the SOAP adapter as i understood, so i filled anything in.
    Perhaps I'm trying to do a scenario that won't work in this way, but what do i have to change to make it work?
    Thanks and regards,
    Steven
    Edit:
    basicly i want to do this:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5f3ee9d7-0901-0010-1096-f5b548ac1555
    but the import of the created XI webservice does not work. And now i have no idea why i can't even import it. Is it because of the interface message type which is of course ORDERS.ORDERS05?

  • [JAXB] Multiple imports in the root node

    Hello,
    I use JAXB and am doing this scenario : unmarshalling an XML document created manually, and automatically marshalling another from the generated Java code.
    This is a multiple schemas / multiple imports issue.
    I would like the 2 XML documents to be similar, but in the first one, I get :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <aaa:first xmlns:aaa="http://aaa" xmlns:bbb="http://bbb">
    </aaa>
    and in the second :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <aaa:first xmlns:aaa="http://aaa" xmlns:ns1="urn:abc" ...>
    <bbb:second xmlns:bbb="http://bbb">
    </bbb>
    </aaa>
    So, how is that possible to import multiple namespaces (xmlns) in a single node please ? It seems that JAXB does the import only when needed, and won't group all the imports in the root node.
    (moreover, how can I disable the "standalone" attribute in the header of the generated XML document please ?)
    Thanks in advance.

    Ok, I found a solution to get all namespaces placed in the root of the generated XML document : one have to implement a NamespacePrefixMapper
    marshaller.setProperty("com.sun.xml.bind.namespacePrefixMapper",new NamespacePrefixMapperImpl());and redefining its ' public String[] getPreDeclaredNamespaceUris()' method.
    For now, the problem is that namespaces declared there are somehow static. In fact, when unmarshalling Java objects from an XML document, it seems that this document namespaces are lost.
    Do you know a way these namespaces would be kept somewhere, associated with the unmarshalled object ? I need these namespaces in the case that I would create another XML file from it in the future.
    It's seems logical to keep this with the object, so did I miss something please ?
