Problems like this don't cease to amaze me.
We are in the year of 2009 and this problem is most probably caused because jboss is started from a path which contains one or more space.
Try move your jboss installation or eclipse installation (i am not familiar how jboss in installed inside eclipse) to a folder with no spaces and the problem should go away.
It is sad that nice software like jboss has stupid bugs like this. Oh and it migh not be jboss but the JVM. It is silly in any case...

  • WebLogic problem with Eclipse

    I installed oepe-juno-installer-12.1.1.1.0.201207241647-12.1.1a-win32.exe package. In Eclipse I added Oracle WebLogic Server to run web application. I could start WebLogic server from the Eclipse, but when I tried to stop server I always get an error:
    [Stopped, User: weblogic , failed to be authenticated.].
    What I missed in my configuration?
    Thank you
    Alex

    Hi Raj,
    Thank you for your help!
    I believe that I was able to narrow down the problem. I tested these scenarios:
    - created a new weblogic domain using configuration wizard; added server to the Eclipse; didn't add any web application to the server; started and stopped server from the eclipse without errors.
    - added simple web application (just one index.html page) to the server; started and stopped server from the eclipse without errors. In both cases I saw the message:
    Stopping WebLogic Server...
    Server "AdminServer" was force shutdown successfully ...
    - added my application; cannot stop server from the Eclipse or by running stopWebLogic.cmd script. Below is the error message I got when I ran script:
    Stopping Weblogic Server...
    Initializing WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) ...

    WLSTException: Error occured while performing connect : User: weblogic, failed to be authenticated.

    I believe that the problem might be related to the fact that our application starts several servlets and for some reason WLS cannot shutdown them.
    I will continue to investigate the issue.

  • New WSUS on Server 2012 - problem with win8 clients

    Hi,
    Two weeks ago we created a new Server 2012 and installed the WSUS role from scratch on it.  Its version number is:  6.2.9200.16384.  It replaced a Server 2008 WSUS server.  After some time all the win7 clients updated and reported as
    they did on the old and replaced server.
    However all our win8 clients refuse to update against this server.  They show correctly up in WSUS server console each with 107 needed updates day after day.  We have rebooted them and done numerous wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow and wuauclt
    /detectnow /reportnow, but to no avail.
    I paste in some lines from a win8 client winupdate log at the end of this message if someone can figure out what I have to do to get these clients update as they did against the old wsus server.  Thanks for help on this issue.
    regards Tor

    Today I opened Control Panel / Windows Updates and first did a check for new updates (from the WSUS server).  Nothing was found and it reported Windows is Updated.   Then I clicked the link Check for updates from Microsoft via internet, and
    it found around 24 updates.
    This is confirmation of the point that I made in the previous post. The updates are *NEEDED* by this system, but the updates were not *AVAILABLE* from the assigned WSUS Server. You were able to get them from Windows Update, but that does not fix your continuing
    issue with the WSUS Server.
    but it still reported the original 108 Needed updates.
    Exactly. As previously noted, the client is functioning perfectly. The problem is NOT with the client; the problem is with the WSUS Server. The updates that this client needed were not AVAILABLE to be downloaded from the WSUS server.
    Why this is the case requires further investigation on your part, but is either because the updates are not properly approved, or the update FILES are not yet downloaded from Microsoft to the WSUS server.
    It appears that the wsus server doesn't get any information back from the client despite that it displays new Last contact and Last Status report timestamps.
    This conclusion is incorrect. The WSUS Server got every bit of information available from the client -- you've confirmed this by the number of updates reported as "Needed" by the Windows Update Agent to the WSUS Server.
    I assumed that the log would display if the updates were downloaded or not.
    It will log when the updates are actually downloaded. If there's no log entries for updates being downloaded, then they're not being downloaded. If the logfile says "Found 0 updates", then that means exactly what it says: It couldn't find any approved/available
    updates to download.
    In your case it "Found 11 updates", but now it will be impossible to diagnose that fault, because you went and got them from Windows Update.
    All Win8 versions are checked in the WSUS server's Product list so the updates should at least have been downloaded to the server.
    This is why understanding the infrastructure is so critical. Your conclusion is invalid based on the premise given, and you may be using improper terminology which only confuses the rest of us as well.
    First, selecting updates for synchronization only gets the update metadata (i.e. the detection logic) downloaded to the WSUS database.
    The Second Step in this process is to Approve those updates for one or more WSUS Target Groups that contain the appropriate client systems. Following the approval of an update, the WSUS Server downloads the INSTALLATION FILE for that update.
    Once the WUAgent sees an approved update and the installation file is available, then the WUAgent will download the file and schedule the update for installation.
    Most of the post I read about my problem is about upgrading a 2008 WSUS server to support Win8 / Server 12 clients.  When I try to run this update on my Server 12 WSUS it refuses to run (probably because it is for Server 2008).
    Yeah.. totally different issue in those posts than what you're describing here.
    What should I do to try to track down the problem?
    Well.... now that it's 11 days since the logfile was posted, and you've already updated that system, we'll first need to find another system exhibiting the same issue.
    Then I'll need to ask a number of questions to properly understand the environment, as well as what you have or have not done.
    Then, from there, we can attempt to figure out why your Windows 8 client apparently sees some updates as approved/available but is still not downloading them. We do not yet have sufficient information to even speculate on a possible cause -- there are several.

  • J2ee server starting problem

    Hi, I am a new comer in this field. I am fininding problem in starting the j2ee server.I have downloaded and installed C:\j2sdkee1.3.1 , c:\jdk1.3.1_03 , c:\j2eetutorial and c:\antroot\jakarta-ant-1.3. I am using windows 2000 professional OS and set the environment variables like JAVA_HOME : c:\jdk1.3.1_03, J2EE_HOME:C:\j2sdkee1.3.1 and ANT_HOME:c:\antroot\jakarta-ant-1.3.
    set the path to %J2EE_HOME%\bin;%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%ANT_HOME%\bin; as per the instruction given in the J2EE tutorial preface.
    When I type j2ee on the command prompt it says "j2ee is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".
    Can any one plese guide how I can start and go ahead with this tutorial. Is there any other setting i need to set or change.
    Thanks,
    ansp

    Hi,
    If you're running j2ee on windows platform and you have outlook also loaded, close the outlook and try running j2ee again.
    also set your class path to the jar file under $J2EE_HOME/lib/j2ee.jar:. before rest of your classpath
    I have the same problem (with different message) on solaris.

  • WebSphere Default Server Starting Problem

    I am using WebSphere AS and facing a strange problem at the time of starting the default server.
    I had to change the user name & password of the XADataSource of the Server. On applying this, and starting the Default server, the server started and application worked fine. However, the next day, when I restarted the machine & started the Server, the server is not starting.
    I checked the connection using the Test Connection button. The connection is ok.
    I am getting the following error at the Default Server start up in the Default_Server_stdout.log:
    [4/18/03 14:28:38:219 GMT+05:30] 3cce5e54 Server U Build number: ptf30217.01
    [4/18/03 14:29:21:962 GMT+05:30] 3cce5e54 XARminst W WTRN0017W: Encountered an error in XA recover operation: -3
    [4/18/03 14:29:21:982 GMT+05:30] 3cce5e54 XARminst X Error to recover XAResource:
    In the log, the above two lines are repeated in a seemingly infinite loop. (I have to Force Stop the Default Server.)
    I suspect that there is some problem while reading the Default ServerXAResources properties file. I tried deleting this file so that it will be created, replacing it with that from another machine, but these things didn't work.
    (The classes12.zip is present in the classpath. )
    Please let me know if I have to do any more settings whenever I change the dastasource user/password.
    Thanks,
    JRahul.

    The following steps should fix your environment problem.
    1) Delete the log files under <WAS_HOME>\tranlog folder.
    This will allow you to start the server.
    2) Also make sure that your user id has SELECT privilege on
    "DBA_PENDING_TRANSACTIONS" table. I guess your id doesn't have that
    privilege.
    To grant the SELECT privilege on the system view
    "DBA_PENDING_TRANSACTIONS", you must logon to Oracle as "SYS" user using
    Oracle's tool likes SQL*Plus and issue the following command (Note: the
    default password for "SYS" user is "CHANGE_ON_INSTALL")
    sqlplus sys/change_on_install
    SQL> GRANT SELECT ON dba_pending_transactions to myuserid ;

  • Starting problems with 8i and OAS

    I recently downgraded back to winnt4 because I had problems with 8i/oas. These weren't big problems but made development work more difficult ( the server needed to be restarted quite often and other little problems ).
    Unfortunately I had to find out that on winnt nothing works. When booting up the system the starting of the db takes about 5 minutes. To find out what was going out I checked the memory usage of ORACLE.EXE in the task mgr. At first ORACLE.EXE occupies about 9 MB then nothing happens at all (CPU usage near 0%) and after 2.5 mins the whole thing carries on to start the db. This is very strange as on the same machine with win2000 the db was loaded and initialized very quickly.
    Oas can be started from the OAS mgr page but none of the applikations that was working with work, nor do the sample ones from the docs. I always just get internal server error when I try to call them.
    I'am desperate for some help as I don't have a clue what's going wrong!!!
    Thanx Andre

    I have similar problems as the original poster. OAS does not start on my Win2K box on start up, and IIS 5.0 as well after installing OAS and configured as one of its listeners. Once OAS is started using OAS Manager, a minute or so later wrksf.exe quits itself.
    From this discussion group I was given the impression that OAS does not really like Win2K at all. Should they are incompatible with one another can I should using Oracle8i to develop web applications by itself?
    I wonder what has gone wrong and would be grateful if you can shed me some light on this matter.

  • Terminal Server Licensing Problems with GPO Security Group License Server

    Hello,
    I have two fresh installs of W2K12R2.
    One is RD Session Host and the other one is the License Server. Everything is fine until I active the GPO Security Group License Server. After that the License Server gives no licenses
    to die clients (we have User und Device CALs). TS Licensing Diagnostic’s shows no errors, the number of available licenses is displayed correctly, even the state of GPO Security Group License Server is correctly shown as "active" and die
    Membership in the Group "RDS-Endpointserver" is "Yes". Eventlog shows no Errors. Log in on the session host is even possible, maybe because the RDS-Service is in evaluation time.
    If the GPO Security Group License Server is disabled again, the server starts to serve licenses as expected.
    I don’t know what I can do anymore, never had problems with exact the same setup under W2K8, but with W2K12 is the second time I notice this issue.
    Thanks for your ideas,
    Andreas

    Hi Andreas,
    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    Sorry to inform but there is no official document for server 2012 related to this event, you can go through below article for reference.
    You cannot use a security group to add computer accounts to the Terminal Server Computers group. You must add each computer account explicitly. To verify whether an RD Session Host server is allowed to request RDS CALs from the Remote Desktop license server,
    you can use the IsSecureAccessAllowed method of Win32_TSLicenseServer class. For more details about this method, click here.
    1. License Diagnosis tool returns error "License server <computer name> cannot issue RDS CALs to the Remote Desktop Session Host Server because the 'License server security group' Group
    Policy setting is enabled."
    2.Control the Issuance of RDS CALs
    Note: You should only enable this policy setting when the license server is a member of a domain. You can only add computer accounts for RD Session Host servers to the RDS Endpoint Servers group when the license server is a member of a domain.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks,
    Dharmesh

  • OS X Lion Server display problem with menu highlighting and button icons

    I have attached  Grab capture of my screen showing the problems with the window top bars and button icons. This happened after a routine security update.
    Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?
    Thanks
    George Harrison

    I have/had the same problem. Comparible setup running Lion Server GM. The natd service fires off the InternetSharing service from the prefspane instead of the regular natd service. This is verifiable by entries in the system log as well as the lack of the natd process running. Below are my findings from research/experimentation; please understand that this is what I have done to get it working, it is DEFINITELY not best practices and I'm sure not supported by Apple. I'm just conveying what I think is happening and how I dealt with it.
    Natd - Executing the binary referenced in the launchctl job directly launches the InternetSharing service on Lion server. This does NOT act this way in SL server, where it works as expected. Replacing the Lion binaries with The SL ones results in natd working as expected: nat_start and nat_stop in /usr/libexec. In short, if you replace the Lion binaries with the ones from SL, it-s a drop-in fix. Natd isn't your only problem though...
    Dns/named - It appears that Apple has limited named to binding on the loopback adapter only by default on Lion. Adding a listen-on clause to named.conf with the appropriate bindings will fix this. I'm assuming you're running natd, named and dhcpd on the same box...
    Dhcpd - Works fine. It appears broken only because the InternetSharing service is replacing natd (why?!?) and it has a built-in dhcpd server (dumbed down 192.168.2.0 subnet). Once you fix natd, this runs as expected.
    Firewall/ipfw - Gotta have this running so that natd will do translation. Remember to open the dhcp ports to allow the clients to get leases...
    I hope this helps, I'm sticking with SL until these issues are worked out...

  • Comparable problem with eclipse

    I want to use "Comparable" in eclipse, but always has a problem with a steatment that " The type Comparable is not generic; it cannot be parameterized with arguments <Node>".
    program is here:
    public class Node implements Comparable<Node>
         public int value;
         public boolean LeftchildSent; //used for checking if leftchild sent the value to the node at last round
         public boolean RightchildSent; //...
         public boolean ParentSent; //...
         //constructor
         public Node(int value, boolean LeftchildSent, boolean RightchildSent, boolean ParentSent, Node left, Node right)
              this.value = value;
              this.LeftchildSent = false;
              this.RightchildSent = false;
              this.ParentSent = false;
         //implements comparable
         public int ComparableTo(Node n)
              if(value < n.value) return -1;
              if(value == n.value) return 0;
              if(value > n.value) return 1;
    }anybody help, thanks very much

    Be sure to:
    1- Use a JRE System Library 5.0+ for your project.
    (Properties / Java Build Path / Libraries)
    2- Use a compiler compliance level 5.0+ for your project.
    (Properties / Java Compiler / Compiler Compliance Level)
    3- Change your last method to:    public int compareTo(Node n) // *** bad name used
            if(value < n.value) return -1;
            if(value > n.value) return 1;
            return 0; // *** be sure to have a return statement
        }or better:     public int compareTo(Node n)
            return value - n.value;
        }

  • Problem with Eclipse  -- pls help

    hi
    When i execute the application in debug mode with one break point :
    These are the errors i get and the compiler is not stopping at the break point .
    Pls help :
    Thread [main] (Suspended (exception ClassNotFoundException))
         ClassLoader.findBootstrapClass(String) line: not available [native method]
         Launcher$ExtClassLoader(ClassLoader).findBootstrapClass0(String) line: not available
         Launcher$ExtClassLoader(ClassLoader).loadClass(String, boolean) line: not available
         Launcher$AppClassLoader(ClassLoader).loadClass(String, boolean) line: not available
         Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(String, boolean) line: not available
         Launcher$AppClassLoader(ClassLoader).loadClass(String) line: not available
         Launcher$AppClassLoader(ClassLoader).loadClassInternal(String) line: not available

    If the compiler is not stopping at your breakpoint, then it probably means that the java code you're looking at and the compiled class file are out of synch. If you're getting a classnotfound, then your classfile most likely is either not there or is not where expected.
    Check the output folder in project's properties (which may or may not be the default), and see if your classfiles are actually there. Perhaps there is some error that is preventing your classfile from being generated (Eclipse sometimes won't even be able to compile), so check the problems dialog.
    Try refreshing your project, and if all else fails, restart Eclipse/delete & create the project again. That sometimes magically fixes things. Otherwise, welcome to the quirkiness of dealing with Eclipse!

  • Problem with Eclipse 3 and Lomboz 213

    Hi, I am pretty new in working with Eclipse, and i?ve been trying to create a small j2ee aplication just to try, but I?m having problems when trying to create an EJB, everything goes fine (I created a component with a method, then I added this module but when generating the interfaces.....) until I have to genrate the EJB classes. When I click in "generate EJB Classes" for my component, I get this error:
