Jdev 11g Production: Connection Name FOD Not Defined (Tutorial: ADF Visuali

I tried out the following tutorial: ADF Visualization Components. I follow the step by step to install Jdev 11g and the FOD schemas. The step by step tutorial is helpful but ran into a problem in the beginning when I tried to run the FOD Module as stated. The following message came up when I right click the FODModule and select run, "Connection Name FOD Not Defined". I have created the connection as stated in the tutorial and can access the FOD database and see the tables.
I search the form and I don't see anyone else running into the same problem. Can any help me out.

Hi,
try the following: Select the model project and expand it until you see the ApplicationModule. Right click the module and choose "configure" from the context menu. Then "edit". Set the database connection to JEE data source. Rin the app again

  • Printer name "ARCH" not defined - Archive printer

    Hi,
We are trying to archive some FI objects and store it in the documentum. We have defined the ARCH printer as per SAP guidelines (Device type ARCHLINK, Access method- Archiving Device). While selecting the printer in transaction SARA for the archiving it was giving error message 'Printer name "ARCH" not defined'. The information on the error message is given below. But the printer is already exists in table TSP03. Checked note 639149 authorizations are in place and the printer is already added in content repository thru OAC0. Also note 739828 referred and the prerequisites required are in place. We use ECC 6.0 NW 7.01 release.
Please provide some inputs, all inputs to solve this issue is welcome.
    Printer name "ARCH" not defined
    Message no. PT001
    Diagnosis
Table TSP03 contains all valid printer names. The printer name specified here does not exist in the table.
    Procedure
Enter a valid printer name from table TSP03. You can define new printers using the spool administration function.
    Thanks in advance.
    rgds,
    Shyl

When we use any other printer which is not defined as Access method -I Archiving device then we are able to select the printer and continue
Thats the way it should be
But the intention here is to use the Archiving program (in Device class of SPAD) and continue with Archiving the print lists. So for that we have to make the printer working for Archiving mode
The spool parameters are for the background job, you cannot use Method I for it, you already set the output method in OAC0 for the print lists.
Also regarding the selection of 'Send to SAP spool' and 'Print Immediately'' we will be able to select this in the 'Properties' but the error message appears before that and no further selection possible.
As I mentioned before you need to use a common printer for the background job spool.

    Juan

  • Bug- Version 8.0.10 (Build 25189) MacOSX Connection Name does not import

When importing Remote Desktops from one machine to another..the connection name does not import..ONLY the
PC name or IP address comes across..

    Hi Phil,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
As you have commented PC Name or IP address is imported and thinks we need that only for connection. Also we can only export and import the .rdp file between Mac clients. Also for a try, you can reinstall the app and verify.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Jdev 11g Production - Unable to edit EO/ VOs from Application Navigator

I created an ADF Model project. In this project I created ADF's 'Business Components from Tables' using the wizard. I went through the wizard and created EO, VO, AM and business diagram. After that, I was able to execute the AM (right-click and Run), but when I tried to open the EO or VO to edit properties (Right-click and Open), I was unable to do so.
I have created a word document with snapshots of the steps followed and the error I got. Please find it here - http://files.oraclecorp.com/content/AllPublic/SharedFolders/EBS%20Integrations%20Shared-Public/Errors_ADF_BC.doc
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I suspect a usual useful drive-by-answer from dvohra.
user8028667, under JDev 11g you're right, it should be right click > Open (entity name). This should open the Entity Object document window.
Unfortunately the link you've provided appears to be internal to Oracle and can't be viewed by the vast majority of readers on this external Oracle forum. I'm guessing you're an Oracle employee because of the link you supplied. The Oracle JDev PMs normally point Oracle employees to post on internal forums, not external customer forums.

  • Correlation property of correlationSet "name" is not defined

    Hi.
I have got strange problem with correlation property.
I am using JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.5.0 with Oracle 11g Fusion middleware Version 11.1.1.5.0.
I created BPEL process driven by EDA. All receive and pick activity are event driven.
Everything works fine till I tried to make correlation.
I use wizard to create CorrelationSet and correlation property, assign type and create property aliases.
Now I get error correlation property "{http://xmlns.process.com/oxygenium/OrderAuthorization/OrderAuthorization/correlationset}webOrder_property" of correlationSet "webOrderCorrelationSet" is not defined.
Error message points to line with <correlationSets><correlationSet name="webOrderCorrelationSet" properties="ns7:webOrder_property"/></correlationSets>
    xmlns:ns7="http://xmlns.process.com/oxygenium/OrderAuthorization/OrderAuthorization/correlationset"
I can't understand what is wrong. Wizard show all dependencies OK.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Problem still remains.
The only way to solve I found is add SOAP webservice interface with partnerlink. After that compiler didn't find any error but what horrible workaround it is...
I think there is bug in compiler which doesn't allow create correlation set without partnerlink :(
Please give me a hope that there is a normal solution.
    Thank you

  • JDEV 11g R1: Static Lov does not refresh on changing locale

    Hello,
I have created a static view object. Then created another view object that has an attribute defining a LOV using the former view object. In the web application I change the locale programmatically. I'm trying to set locale in ViewRoot, and also in the binding container:
          JSFUtils.getFacesContext().getViewRoot().setLocale(new Locale(localeStr));
          ADFUtils.getApplicationModuleForDataControl(AMDC).getSession().setLocale(locale);
          ADFUtils.getDCBindingContainer().getBindingContext().setLocaleContext(new DefLocaleContext(locale));
ADFUtils.getDCBindingContainer().execute(); The problem is that the values of static list will not be translated. Though after executing rollback operation, they will show the translated values.
I suppose it has to do with caching LOV values.
Do you have any suggestion?? How can I make this LOV refresh??
    Thanks, Eniko

    Hi,
    taking it from:
+"However , if we refresh the table or reload after save , the toop tip also get change . but we need to update the tool tip on change the lov . any suggestion ? "+
The autput text component is part of a table ? If so then the table needs to be refreshed as the values in there are stamped. If I am wrong with my table assumption and the output text is part of a form, try setting clientComponent="true" for the output text field

  • JBO-33003 :Connection not defined

    Hi ,
I have deployed a bC4j application in Oracle9iAS.I have added the Business component jar files and the connection.properties file in the classpath in the jserv.properties file.
I have also included the connection.properties as well as the bc4j.xcfg file at the time of deployment.
I am using a JSP application for Business Component in local mode.
when I run my JSP application,I get the error "oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-33003: Connection name Connection1 not defined" .
    Can anyone please help.
    Thanx
    Manisha

Make sure that there isn4t another connections.properties file in your classpath. This would cause your connection not to be found.

  • How to create Entity Object when connecting JavaDB in Jdev 11g

I use Jdev 11g to connect JavaDB. When I use the BC4J wizard to create EO and VO, I only can see VO, the EO is empty.
    any ideas?
    Thanks

In the Application Navigator, right-click the project in which you want to create the entity object and choose New.
In the New Gallery, expand Business Tier, select ADF Business Components and then Entity Object, and click OK.
If this is the first component you're creating in the project, the Initialize Business Components Project dialog appears to allow you to select a database connection.
In the Initialize Business Components Project dialog, select the database connection or choose New to create a connection. Click OK.
On the Name page, do the following to create the entity object:
Enter the package name in which the entity object will be created.
Click Browse (next to the Schema Object field) to select the table for which you want to create the entity object.
Or, if you plan to create the table later, you can enter a name of a table that does not exist.
If you manually entered a table name in the Schema Objects field, you will need to define each attribute on the Attributes page of the wizard. Click Next.
When you are satisfied with the table object and its corresponding entity object name, click Finish

    Regards,

    Hi Heidi,
I tried once again to install a fresh instance of Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.0 and upgraded it to 10.1.3.4 successfully. I did all the JDeveloper 11g installation and configure SOA process all successfully. I can create a connection to OC4J using 12401 RMI port successfully but none of my applications are deployed to server.
This message is repeatedly displaying in messages tab:
Exception returned by remote server: com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIConnectionException: Disconnected: oracle.oc4j.admin.management.shared.SharedModuleType. local class incompatible during deploy ...
The default OC4J RMI port is 23791 but in my installation it is set to 12401 when I checked the Runtime Port option of Oracle Application Server and the connection is fine with this port but applications can not be deployed with this configuration.
I can deploy applications on separate standalone OC4J instance successfully but not able to do it with my SOA application server.
    Any comments will be appreciated.
    Thanks again
    Esfand

  • JDev 11g on WebLogic+TopLink+Web Services (getSharedSession() Disconnects)

I am facing an issue while using {color:#0000ff}TopLink{color} through a {color:#0000ff}web service{color} request.
I apologize for a lengthy posting but thought I should give as much information as possible.
    <strong><u>Migration from TP4 to JDev 11g Production
    </u></strong>I am in a process of {color:#0000ff}migration{color} of an application from {color:#0000ff}JDeveloper 11g TP4 to JDeveloper 11g Production{color}.
    I am facing an issue using {color:#0000ff}TopLink{color} with {color:#0000ff}Web Services{color} on {color:#0000ff}Oracle WebLogic 10g Release 3.
    {color}
    <strong><u>Existing Application</u></strong>
This application uses {color:#0000ff}TopLink{color} and also has{color:#0000ff} JAX-WS{color} based web services.
The web services client calls the service endpoint that internally uses {color:#0000ff}TopLink{color} to make database calls.
We currently use {color:#0000ff}Tomcat{color} for deployment and the application works fine.
<strong><u>Issue while moving to Oracle WebLogic 10g R3
</u></strong>While porting this application to WebLogic we faced an issue wherein a call to the {color:#0000ff}web service{color} results in {color:#0000ff}disconnection{color} of existing {color:#0000ff}TopLink{color} {color:#000080}server session{color} and creation of new ones.
Some surfing on the net indicated that this could be due to the different class loaders that are used to access the TopLink server session.
You must login to the ServerSession before acquiring ClientSessions
    <strong><u>LOG</u></strong>
Here is a log from our application

    James,
My issue is resolved. Thanks for your tip.
    I am using {color:#0000ff}SessionManager.getSession(...{color}
    Solution:*
I changed the class loader while getting a session.
    I had to extend the {color:#0000ff}SessionFactory{color} and override {color:#0000ff}both{color} the {color:#0000ff}getSharedSession(){color} methods while replacing {color:#ff0000}getClass().getClassLoader(){color} with {color:#0000ff}&lt;MyLocatorSingletonBean&gt;.getInstance().getClass().getClassLoader().{color}
    Regrding Server Sessions*
While posting the question I had started thinking in the same direction of having sever sessions as singleton/Spring bean but sine this will change a lot of things in my current framework so decided I just use the above solution for now.
    Really appreciated!

  • New JCo names are not listing in WB Content Administrator

    Dear Friends,
I have deployed my WebDynpro application on a landscape where the production system got 4 server services running.
Initially the WD application was using the existing JCo connections.  But on the latest deploy I have to use new JCo connections and I made changes.
Problem is, these new JCo connection names are not appearing in WebDynpro Content Administrator and still it displays old JCo connections.
This problem exists with global WD Content Admin. URL as well as with individual server url, except in one server instance where JCos yet to be created.
But when I execute the application with global URL, it is working fine.
Intent is to create and use my new JCo connections for the application which are not listing in WB Content Admin.
Is it require to restart the server services?
Is it possible to solve this problem without restarting the services?
Is there any other way to resolve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Lakshmikantha

Sorry I can't approach to restart the j2ee service at this movement.
And the application got new JCo name at it's JCO refrences.
Infact the application is working fine with new JCos on development and quality systems.
Problem exists only on production system where it got 4 server instances.
    Any hope without restarting services?

  • Jdev 11g: Can "adfBundle is unkown variable" be ignored?

    Hi,
    Jdev 11g production release.
If resource bundles are used to create multi-langual applications then the jspx contains following code:
    <c:set var="viewcontrollerBundle"
    value="#{adfBundle['view.ViewControllerBundle']}"/>
With this code following warning occures in IDE editor: adfBundle is unknown variable.
    Can I ignore this?
    Is this a known issue?
    regards
    Peter

    Hello Steve,
    1) Create a new jspx
    2) drag e.g. a command button to the new page
    3) Use a resource bundle instead of the "fixed string" for the button text.
    4) check jspx source for "adfBundle"
Here the sample code of my page:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='windows-1252'?>

  • Namespace not define Error in IR when activate object..

    Hi,
I am getting the name space not defined error when I try to activate the object in the IR even though I have defined the above namespace in this software component version.
Could some body point me where I am missing. This might be a basic setting that I am missing.
    Thanks
    Steve

    Shravan,
I do not see the namespace in the chang lists tab, but I have all the other objects which were under the name space.
    Thanks
    Steve
