Best regards,
John

Ok folks, with <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn?rid=/library/uuid/e50bd86e-0a01-0010-53bd-857585234a6a">"scripting in a Box"</a> now online and available, we've got a pretty good chance of <i>easily</i> showing off some cool scripts!
So some thoughts for Orlando:
"Code Showdown" - bring your best and coolest scripts and show them off
"Scripting in a Box" - have a USB stick? Bring it and get the newest version of "Scripting in a Box"
"World's Smallest and Coolest Script" - how much can you do in a single line of code?
"Ask the Scripters" - have questions, now is a good time to ask
"How do I get started?" - Have a question, not sure where to start? Have a group of scripters already and not sure how to utilize them together with your SAP systems?
Those are just some thoughts - what are you thinking?

  • URGENT:Problem in a mapping with 8 tables in JOIN and using the DEDUP op.

I have an urgent problem with a mapping: I must load data from 8 source tables (joined togheter) in a target table.
Some data from 1 of the 8 tables have to be deduplicated, so I created a sort of staging table where I inserted the "cleaned" data, I mean, the deduplicated ones.
I made it to make all the process faster.
Then, I joined the 8 tabled, writing the join conditions in the operator properties, and connected the outputs into the fields of the target table.
But..it does not work because this kind of mapping create a cartesian product.
Then, I tried again with another mapping builted up in this way: after the joiner operator, I used the Match-Merge Operator and I load all data into a staging table exactly alike the target one, except for the PK (because it is a sequence). Then, I load the data from this staging table into the target one, and, of course, I connect to the target table also the sequence (the primary key). The first loading works fine (and load all the data as I expected).
For the next loadings,I scheduled a pre-mapping process that truncate the staging table and re-load the new data.
But..it does not work. I mean, It doesn't update the data previously loaded (or inser the new ones), but only insert the data, not considering the PK.
So, my questions are as follow:
    1) Why loading the data directly from the joiner operator into the fact table doesn't work? Why does it generate a cartesian product??
    2) The "escamotage" to use the Match-Merge operator is correct? I have to admit that I didn't understand very well the behaviour of this operator...
    3) And, most of all, HOW CAN I LOAD MY DATA? I cannot find a way out....

First of all, thanks for the answer!
Yes, I inserted the proper join condition and in fact I saw that when WB generates the script it considers my join but, instead of using the fields in a single select statement, it builts up many sub-selects. Furthermore, it seems as it doesn't evaluate properly the fields coming from the source tables where I inserted the deduplicated data...I mean, the problems seems not to be the join condition, but the data not correctly deduplicated..

  • Just joined up with the Adobe CC, and get error U44M1l210

Just joined up on the Adobe CC, and lightroom installed and updated fine, but when installing Photoshop, it errors during the install with U44M1l210.
I then went back after running each app, and tried to update, again still the same error on failure.   Looking around, I saw that I should try and remove the app, and reinstall.
After the removal, reboot, and reinstall I still got the same error.    I then tried to use the in-program updater, which is said there were updates, but again it ended with the same error.
I don't see anyplace to just download the update and install it manually, if there is one, maybe someone can give me a pointer.
Asking for more detail in the CC app, it says the following:
    Update Failed
Unable to extract the downloaded files.  Press retry to download again.(U44M1l210)
Needless to say I have tried each option many times over, and am at a loss where to go next..

    Hi,
I'm in the same situation as you. I've done a new install of CC on windows 7 64-bit, the initial app install worked but all patches/updates failed to install via the Creative Cloud manager. I got the same error code as you.
I installed the updates manually from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html and that worked. However, the Creative Cloud Manager is complete oblivious to the fact that the apps are now up-to-date and is still telling me there are updates, even after a reboot. When I clicked on the install button in the hope that this would sort it, it fails with the same error code.
So this is only half a solution. You can update your apps by downloading manually from the website but it doesn't sort the problem with the Creative Cloud manager and will be a real hassle going forward - I'm using quite a few of the apps not just one or two.
    Any solutions greatfully received

  • Mismatch in the datatypes in join conditions of the views

    Hi guys,
For creating a view I am trying to join 2 tables( EUIINSTLN & EUFASS).
I have selected 4 fields in first table(EUIINSTLN) and 3 fields in the second table(EUFASS).
The join condition is in such a way that the first table field(EUIINSTLN-ANLAGE) is input to second table primary field(EUFASS-OBJKEY).
The first table field(EUIINSTLN-ANLAGE) is of 10 char length and the input field(EUFASS-OBJKEY) in the second table primary field(EUFASS-OBJKEY) is 70 characters in length.
When we take the value in the first table field(EUIINSTLN-ANLAGE) individually and give input( to EUFASS-OBJKEY) in the second table((EUFASS) it works fine even though there is mismatch in the datatypes. I.e., it works individually.
But when this data is viewed using the DDIC view it doens't show any records, since the field length condition is not met. i.e., mismatch in the datatypes takes place. The below is the condition I have given in the view - table/join condition.
    EUIINSTLN     MANDT     =     EUFASS     MANDT
    EUIINSTLN     ANLAGE     =     EUFASS     OBJKEY.
Some persons have said that I can delimit the 70 char field(EUFASS-OBJKEY) to 10 char.
How can I delimit the length of 70 characters field(EUFASS-OBJKEY) to 10 char in the join conditions of the view.
Appreciate if any one give any solution on this.
    Regards
    Mac

    > EUIINSTLN     MANDT     =     EUFASS     MANDT
    > EUIINSTLN     ANLAGE     =     EUFASS     OBJKEY.
    Hi Mac,
You can limit the number of char in OBJKEY to 10.
    Join Condition
    EUIINSTLN-MANDT     =     EUFASS-MANDT
    EUIINSTLN-ANLAGE      =     EUFASS-OBJKEY(10).
    Best regards,

  • Joining table reduce the significantly

We have a module that create need to load record from 3 tables to construct the object, if we query for 20k object, it take 20s object, which look longer than expected.
Thus we try to join that 3 tables and run single query to get the record. However that even more slow, it take 60s to get those objects.
One problem is one of the tables use varchar as ID, we need to join that table with to_char(other_id) = id . However, even that create performance penality, this should no be that slow....
Is this data look normal to you , will you think we have a lot of room to improve?

    Can you please provide:
    1. The ODBC settings for the datastore
    2. The full schemas for each table, including indices
    3. The exact SQL statements you are running (the single table query and the join)
    4. The rowcounts for each table
    5. Confirm if you updated optimiser statistics after populating the tables.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Please see the following excerpt from the online documentation.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e22490/ldr_modes.htm#SUTIL1332
    Enabled Constraints
During a direct path load, the constraints that remain enabled are as follows:
    NOT NULL
    UNIQUE
PRIMARY KEY (unique-constraints on not-null columns)
NOT NULL constraints are checked at column array build time. Any row that violates the NOT NULL constraint is rejected.
Even though UNIQUE constraints remain enabled during direct path loads, any rows that violate those constraints are loaded anyway (this is different than in conventional path in which such rows would be rejected). When indexes are rebuilt at the end of the direct path load, UNIQUE constraints are verified and if a violation is detected, then the index will be left in an Index Unusable state. See "Indexes Left in an Unusable State".

  • TS1398 im having real problems connecting to my home wifi, it keeps coming up saying unable to join even though the password is correct, this has been ever since i updated software to ios6

Im having real problems connecting to my home wifi from my i phone 4s, it just keeps saying unable to join even though the password is correct,
I have tried resetting my network settings but to no avail,
yesterday I reset all settings then it actually worked, however today the problem started again so I repeated the reset but it still isn't working
This has only started happening since i upgraded software to ios6
    Please help

Here is what I would do:
Shutdown all computers connected to the router.
    Power off the router.
Power off the modem (cable or DSL).
    Wait 30 seconds.
Power on the modem. Ensure all lights are lit and the modem is online.
Power on the router. Ensure it's communicating to the modem.
Turn on your Macbook Pro first (the one experiencing the issue. Check it's connection. If it's still having issues, removed the networks it can attach to, turn off WiFi; then turn WiFi back on and reconnect to your WiFi network.
Turn on other Macs in household. Check their connections.
Sometimes "rebooting" the modem and router fixes connectivity issues.

    Hi ,
    Please find my answers below:
    1. The roles will be created in BW and should automatically appear in BO CMC Authentication SAP roles, if there is a connectivity setup between BO and BW irrespective of the SSO.The roles are transported by the BW security team.
    2. Every environement will have a unique connection to the corresponding SAP BW environment. For example SAP BW DEV will be mapped to BO DEV, SAP BW PROD will be mapped to BO PROD.So these settings cannot be migrated through Promotion Management.
3.This authentication can be applied to all tools , the SSO does not depend on the tool ,it depends on the integration between two systems which in this case are BO and SAP BW
As mentioned earlier, after integration all tools can have SSO
You can refer to a lot of help documents on this site which will help you to setup the integration between SAP BW AND SAP BO.
    Kind Regards,

  • A curious "anomoly" with the NATURAL JOIN  compared to the JOIN USING

The following query returns what I expect from the HR schema [106 rows]:
    select last_name, department_name from employees JOIN departments USING (department_id);
However, when I do the full natural join with this, I only get 32 rows.
    select last_name, department_name from employees  NATURAL JOIN departments;
Is the full NATURAL JOIN not using DEPARTMENT_ID to join on? But if not what else would it use? I just ran into this and am mostly curious as I do not use the natural join syntax in production but instead prefer the JOIN ON.
    Thanks.

Just expanding on user2361373's point a bit, the EMPLOYEES and DEPARTMENTS table both have a DEPARTMENT_ID column and both have a MANAGER_ID column. So the natural join will join on both columns.
This is why the natural join is evil and ought never, ever, ever, ever, ever to be used in real production code. It violates fundamental tenants of building maintainable applications because it creates the potential that adding columns to an existing table will cause existing code to return incorrect results. If you decide that you need to add a CREATE_DATE column to a few tables, for example, to track when a row was inserted, suddenly, all your natural joins may decide that they need to add the CREATE_DATE to the list of columns to join on and your app starts behaving incorrectly. Or your initial DEPARTMENTS table doesn't have a MANAGER_ID column and you decide to add that later on-- all the existing natural joins between EMPLOYEE and DEPARTMENT start returning incorrect results.
