JRE System-level settings does not work - JRE1.6.30

Good day,
I need to set deployment.security.mixcode parameter to "DISABLE" within of deployment.properties configuration file.
Also I wish to place the deployment.properties configuration file is not user-specific path. The default location is
<User Application Data Folder>\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.properties.
TO change the default location I read about possibility to use the deployment.config for specifying the System-Level
deployment.properties in the infrastructure.
Unfortunatelly seems does not work. Someone have got experience about system level settings of deployment.properties?
This is the configuration I have used.
deployment.config:
deployment.system.config.mandatory=FALSE
deployment.system.config=file/:C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\deployment.properties
deployment.properties:
#deployment.properties

deployment.browser.path=C\:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\iexplore.exe

Thank you in advance

file\:C:/Program Files/Java/jre6/lib/deployment.propertiesI believe that the file is interpreted as a properties file, which means the colon and slashes need to be escaped. This would be it if you want to use a proper Windows path:
file\:C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre6\\lib\\deployment.properties

    Yeah, after hours of searching it must be so that my son has a 8GB i.e. a 2G version and mine just happens to be the 3G as I bought mine a month later....did not know how to know the difference but now solved, thnx.

  • JDK 1.6_07 with Windows: System.out.flush() does not work...

    I wonder if this is a known issue: Since I upgrade the jdk1.6 version to the _07 pack, text IO does not work anymore with WinXP cmd.exe window. Assuming a static import of System.out, I use:
    static void prompt()
      out.print(pr); //pr is a prompt string...
      out.flush();
    }works as usual with Unix/Linux, but with windows nothing will be written to the terminal, until I make at least one input. In that case a barrage of cached prompts appear all at once.
    Do we have a bug for it, can we work around somehow?
    Thomas

    Since this code works correctly in Java 6u10 on Windows XP
    System.out.print("This is the data");
    System.out.flush();You are apparently doing something unusual or wrong. What is "out"?
    Show a small sample program that compiles and exhibits the problem when executed.

  • SRM 7.0 SP05 - BRF Item level approval does not work

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on process controlled workflow for shopping cart approval process.  I have defined necessary process levels and workflow works fine for a single item SC.
    I have selected decision type as "Item-based approval for partial document" for each process level and hence expect each line item (according the start condition) should have it's own set off approvers, but instead of this, system determines approvers at header level and hence item which does not really need approval undergoes approval as well.
    Could you please help me to resolve the issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Bharat,
    Yes, we are using the copy of the standard implementation. We are looking into the BADI implementation and trying to assign a separate AREA GUID to each line item. Hopefully, when different aggents are assigned to these AREA GUIDs, it will enable the item level approval. I will keep you updated.
    Meanwhile, it would be really helpful if you could share some sample code of such badi implementation which can help me to understand it more clearly.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit

  • Item Level Permission does not work as designed

    Here is the problem.
    We have a site with a site members group with created permission level called vnContributor that differs from contributor in that they cannot edit delete items or versions, or create alerts.
    We have a site owners group who have a custom permission level called vnOwner that allows them to add, edit, delete, view, and open items and view versions.  They do not have "Manage Lists"
    The list permission settings were set to view everyone and edit everyone.  In this setting, however members could not see or edit anything, and owners could see and edit everything, regardless of whether it was theirs or not.
    So I changed the list permissions level to edit only their own and changed the members to the OOTB contributor permission level.  I then opened the calendar and added a new item as a user in the members  group.
    There was no change.  Members still could not edit their items.  Owners could see and edit everyone's items.
    This is not how this is advertised to work.
    ERJ MCSD MCDBA

    On June 11, 2008 Rachel.lane entered the following request
    "I would like to hide/show the edit button on a list item's edit form based on whether the user is the item's creator.  The reason I want to do this is because SharePoint's out-of-the-box behaviour is such that when a user edits someone
    else's item, the Access Denied page pops up AFTER the user makes his/her edits and presses ok.
    " My users want the edit button to be hidden so they don't have to go through the steps of making the edits, press ok, and then find out their access is denied."
    My users want the same thing.
    Alex Santos1 said that "One approach is to give each list item it's own permission- giving the owner (creator) full access while giving everyone else read access."
    However everything I seen about giving item level permission seems to utilize the method I've already been doing which does not hide the Edit button.  Does anyone know how to pull off what he was suggesting?

  • JRE 1.3.1_02 does not work with new Nvidia drivers - HELP!

    I am a user and not a developer but this problem really does bite the big one. I have had installed JRE 1.3.1 and have used it to run LimeWire file sharing program for a long time (LimeWire is a java program from www.limewire.com) and also use it to see java applets on web pages in IE 6.
    I have since upgraded my Nvidia video drivers to version 2.8.3.2 which is the latest official release at this time from Nvidia. Since doing this I have no java at all anymore. Limewire refuses to run at all and there is an error report generated in it's resident directory. If I go to http://java.sun.com, IE hangs and then dissappears, leaving a bug report on my desktop. It seems that JRE does not like the new NT OpenGL dll at all in the new Nvidia drivers and will not run at all. The dll that causes the problem is:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvoglnt.dll
    I upgraded JRE to version 1.3.1_02 because Sun says this is the latest version and runs on XP which is what I have. Still java does not run at all anymore and I get the same bug reports. Has anyone found a workaround for this problem? This really stinks because now I cannot use LimeWire at all and if any web page has java on it, it dissappears right away and there is no more browser on my desktop. The only way I can even visit http://java.sun.com is if I use a Java blocking applet to filter out java applets on web pages.
    Please address this issue in JRE development and release a patch for it or a workaround.

    Chuck,
    I stumbled in here looking for help, I am a PC user,
    not a coder or developer (How sad. <g>). I checked for
    updates to the Nvidia driver (none), Windows XP (not
    at this time), and DirectX 8.1 (not at this time,
    these come on the XP updates page so far as I know.)
    Not too suprising...
    I have no idea of how to implement your suggestion on
    how to disable the JMV use of DirectX overal in my XP
    envornment. I guess that using Internet Explorer 6 to
    see web pages with Java on them are pretty much out of
    the question for now but I would be happy as a clam if
    I could get my LimeWire application going again.
    LimeWire is called via a desktop or Start menu
    shortcut in this fashion:
    Target Box: C:\WINDOWS\system32\javaw.exe -cp .
    RunLime
    Start In (directory): "C:\Program Files\LimeWire 1.7"
    So it appears that java is called via the javaw.exe
    file and passes a cp argument (whatever that is), then
    there is a period separator (dunno why) and then the
    "RunLime" statement that calls up the LimeWire
    program.to implement the suggestion, simply add -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true between "javaw.exe" and "-cp" separating it from them by a space on each side. Your result should look something like this:
    c:\windows\system32\javaw.exe -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -cp . RunLime
    >
    I cannot see any need for fancy graphic acceleration
    or DirectX being called to play for this application
    since it is basicly a file manager that shares.
    Nothing fancy about it.It's not the application choosing to do this, but Java itself. Java GUI applications specifically those who use the Swing GUI classes (like LimeWire, if I recall) automatically leverage DirectX. This is really valuable for Swing applications since they emulate Windows (or Mac or Motif) GUI widgets rather than using them, making fast access to display buffers important to ensure best performance.
    >
    Do you have any idea of how to pass your
    "-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true" statement to disable
    DirectX into the above call to start java and
    LimeWire?See above.

    Hanging by the edge of my seat, waiting for more input
    on this. Thank you for your time and suggestions.

  • My Time Capsule has stopped working.  Restoring default settings does not work.

    I have a 2TB Time Capsule (Model No. A1409).  I think that it is approximately 20 months old.  It has been working very well until around two months ago, when it began to display the flashing amber light.  At that time I performed a hard reset, restoring the default settings.  This worked and the capsule continued backing up perfectly for a further three weeks.  However, about three weeks back the flashing amber light returned.  As I have been busy elsewhere I was not able to attend to this untl recently.  It does not seem to matter how many times I reset the device, I cannot return it to a working state.
    The capsule has previously been set up to connect to the internet through my existing broadband service.  As such, it was initially set up and subsequently restored wirelessly.  I no longer seem to be able to achieve this.  Has anybody else experienced similar difficulties and if so, were you able to remedy it.
    Grateful for any advice.  I feel another trip to the Genius Bar coming on.

    Yeah absolutely - no problem.
    I had the same thing happen where I did a restore on my personal TimeCapsule (TC),
    and when I updated the device after installing it, it for some reason set the TC into bridged mode shutting off DHCP/NAT service.
    Which means, that it doesn't reserve an IP for any client trying to attach. This is what it sounds like yours is doing.
    So if you see that it says bridged, and that box with dhcp reservation is greyed out, change it from bridged to DHCP/NAT.
    This will allow any client (computer/device) to attach and reserve an IP address for access to the internet.
    Once that is set, and you update, hopefully the light should go green.
    I would also recommend checking the "internet" tab, and making sure that your IP address is assigned using DHCP. (It probably is - but that part is essential for communication with your Internet Service Provider (ISP)...
    SO - if the device goes green after the update:
    If it does, then go back into the router and click on the wireless tab and confirm your wireless settings are correct, if any changes are made, update.
    At that point, you should be able unplug your laptop to wirelessly connect to the router.

  • After full system update ppp does not work anymore

    Well, I have this problem:
    1) I install Arch Linux from the latest Core
    2) I manually install the latest versions of wvdial and its dependences (xplc and wvstreams). This is an offline installation (because I can't set up internet without wvdial. So I save these packages on USB drive, and there I lanch pacman -U *.pkg.tar.gz)
    3) I set up my GPRS internet connection (I use a mobile phone)
    Everything works well (i.e.: I can ping google without problem).
    Problems arise if I decide to update my system. In this case, indeed, after updating and rebooting, my connection doesn't work no more. Everything works fine until I update. After update, I can say hello to my ppp.
    Then, I add some some details.
    These are the last lines of messages.log after a successful connection (i.e.: before the full update of my system)
    pl2303 4-2:1.0: pl2303 converter detected
    usb 4.2: pl2303 now attached to ttyUSB0
    usbcore: registered new interface driver pl2303
    pl2303: prolific pl2303 USB to serial adaptor driver
    PPP generic driver version 2.4.2
    NET: registered protocol family 10
    lo: disabled privacy extensions
    pppd 2.4.5 started by root, uid 0
    using interface ppp0
    connect ppp <-> /dev/ttyUSB0
    PAP authenticate suceed
    PPP BSD compression module registered
    PPP deflate compression module registered
    local IP address ...
    remote ID address ...
    primary DNS address ...
    secondary DNS address ...
    The last lines of messages.log after the update are:
    pl2303 4-2:1.0: pl2303 converter detected
    usb 4.2: pl2303 now attached to ttyUSB0
    usbcore: registered new interface driver pl2303
    pl2303: prolific pl2303 USB to serial adaptor driver
    PPP generic driver version 2.4.2
    NET: registered protocol family 10
    lo: disabled privacy extensions
    pppd 2.4.5 started by root, uid 0
    As you can see, it's seems there are problems in "using ppp0 interface". Indeed, pppd starts, but ppp0 interface not. I can also add that ifconfig ppp0 up and similar commands do not work (ppp0: no such device, or something like that).
    So, what can I do?

    I don't use ppp so this is just a guess.  However, after a recent upgrade I saw a message from pacman:
    [2010-02-14 09:07] >>> The kernel-mode plugin has a new place.
    [2010-02-14 09:07] >>> It's now located under /usr/lib/rp-pppoe/rp-pppoe.so
    [2010-02-14 09:07] >>> Change LINUX_PLUGIN to the new path in your /etc/ppp/pppoe.conf
    [2010-02-14 09:07] upgraded rp-pppoe (3.10-2 -> 3.10-4)
    Could this be the problem?

  • Bypassing proxy settings does not work

    I can't manage to get my Mac to bypass the proxy settings. My bypass settings are:
    *.local, 169.254.0.0/16, localhost, 193.230/16, 192.168.0.0/24, 172.16.6.0/24
    With these settings if I try to access 172.16.6.120, the server does not respond.
    However if my settings look like this:
    *.local, 169.254.0.0/16, localhost, 193.230/16, 192.168.0.0/24, 172.16.6.0/24, 192.168.0.252, 172.16.6.120, 172.16.6.130
    I can access that IP address with no problems.
    I also tried: *.local, 169.254.0.0/16, localhost, 193.230.0.0/16, 192.168.0.0/24, 172.16.6.0/24 and *.local, 169.254.0.0/16, localhost, 193.230/16, 192.168.0.0/24, 172.16.6.* with no success.
    Can you please help?

  • Planning system value mapping does not work (planingsys)

    Hello,
    When sending a Material from R3 to SBO one of the materials fails with this error:
    DI Error -1004 : (-1004) '' is not a valid value for field 'PlaningSys'. The valid values are: 'M' - 'MRP', 'N' - 'None' =| (End of appended Exceptions)
    I immediatly set a value mapping for Planning System ( '' -> 'N' ) but the same error still occurs (i also tried with '' -> 'M' ).
    Can anybody help ?
    Thanks,
    Fabrice.

    I finally found a solution
    The value mapping that needs to be done was:
    'PD' -> 'bop_MRP'
    the value '' in the error is wrong: the value was 'PD' and the mapping has to be done with the SBO SDK variable name.
    Bye.

  • How can I delete AOL Desktop software from my system since it does not work with Yosemite?

    Trying to delete the AOL desktop software from the system and am not able to do so, what am I missing? Thank you for the assistance.

    Download AppCleaner and use that to delete the AOL desktop software.  This is what I'm using when I install AOL every few weeks to see if they managed to fix the crashing issue.
    Still crashes as of today 1/16 with current download from AOL's site.

  • Removing firefox proxy settings does not work until a restart?

    When I transfer from my work network (with a proxy server) to my home network (no server), I have to restart the browser before it realizes that there is no proxy server that it has to authenticate with. Until I do this, (re)loading pages gives me an error.
    However, when going the other way, it smoothly recognises that there is a server, and no restart is required to continue browsing
    I have automatic proxy settings enabled. I have tried selecting 'no proxy server', but I still need to restart firefox for this to work.
