Somebody told me I should have let it discharged and then to fully charge, but I didn't do it, my iphone is working very well, the battery too but I'm worried if the battery lifespan is gonna get worsen soon if I didn't abide by the rules and procedures of battery charging.
I had problems on my previous iPhone 4s, it died because I didn't replaced the battery with a new one because my battery never worked well and I never knew it , the battery used to overheat my iPhone and it caused to damage my processor completely to death. Who does the replacement of the iphone processor? I need help how to maintain with the iphone battery. And also let me know if I did something wrong that I should get worried about or not ?!?!
Apple does not fix the iPhone 4S, they replace the phone. If not covered by warranty, called an out of warranty exchange. Cost is US $199. Make an appointment at any Apple store.
Be aware, Apple does not sell iPhone parts, thus there is no legitimate source for genuine parts.

Your MacBook Pro can be updated to run Mac OS X "Snow Leopard". Buy it. That will enable you to run the latest iTunes version.

Did you already try to reset the phone again by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

Hi just bought an iphone 4 today tried to activate the phone and it won't let me..I go through language ect and it says activateing iphone may take a few mins then just stops and message on screen says that the sim carrier is not supported and please use the sim which came with the phone(which i am..& have tried another sim and still not working)........It wont let me bypass have tried reseting phone and restarting it nothing helps????
Your iPhone is locked to the original carrier who sold it

You can't get the phone working without the correct password, because the previous owner activated Find My iPhone and Activation Lock. In order to unlock the phone you would have to ocntact the previos owner of the phone. Unfortunately, this is the only way to get it working again.

I've just bought an iPhone 5S in the UK, seems like a big mistake, but luckily by law we can return goods, which is exactly what is going to happen if I cant get this to work. This is my business phone, not having it functional can cost me money.
I have turned off sync to icloud from the phone for both my contacts and calendar, as told on itunes. However, iTunes still says they are synced from iCloud and wont sync to my PC, why and how do I fix it so that it doesnt go to iCloud for anything ?
The phone currently has no contacts or calendar information installed.

I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)

I just bought an iPhone 4 a few weeks back. I tried to delete their icloud account, and add mine but it's asking for a password to delete it. I have no way to get in contact with them. Is there any way around it?
There's no way around it. The former owner needs to erase the phone and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515. No one else can help with this, including Apple.

I have just bought an iphone in my lunch hour and thought I will charge it this afternoon at work so when I get home I can get on with activating it but it doesnt have a charger plug, just something that connects to the computer. Is this how you charge it?

Thanks.Loobs, your iPhone should have come with a wall charger that you plug that USB cord into. It can charge from the wall or your PC with the same cord. Also your iPhone has an internal Li-ion battery. These batteries do not develop a charge 'memory' like batteries of old. It is actually best to not let it run down all the way very often as this will deplete its life span much faster. I normally charge mine every night and the battery still works as good as it did in July '07. As others have mentioned there is a quick start guide in the box that should answer most of your questions. The entire activation process is done through itunes and really takes less than 10 minutes to get it working and guides you through every step with ease.

try general>settings>reset>reset all settings and start up as an new phone.

It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

I just bought a iphone 3g unlocked gsm. iOS 4.2.1 is the final version of iOS that an iPhone 3G will run, so you will not be able to use any apps that require iOS 4.3 or later. There is no way to get any later version of iOS onto your iPhone without serious hacking, something we cannot discuss here.
You do not get the option to update iOS directly from an iPhone until you have iOS 5 or later.

If you are using English as your language, then Siri should be available.

I just bought this iphone not even a month ago. It will not work unless it is plugged into the wall. It will not turn on plugged into a computer. Am I SOL? I do not have insurance.
You do not have insurance.
You do have a one year warranty on workmanship and materials.
Call Apple and set up an appointment to have them look at it.
They should fix it ot replace it for you.
