Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

Reason is the moisture/humidity got into the screen internals through the crack and that is effecting the actual LCD in that area -
I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and I'm trying to connect to my router and my iPod says, 'Cannont find network.' I don't know what to do! No other networks come up on the list so I can't 'tag' along with thier wifi. Please help. I need advice.
What type network is yu router set up for? The 4G iPod can only connect and see 2.4 GHZ networl like B, G and the 2,4 GHz N. There is also a 5 GHz N but the iPod will not even seethat network.

i have the ipod touch 4th generation and the screen is white, i was going to charge it and it turned white. I have tried to reset it but the apple logo will not show up and it will not turn on! i just got it for christmas... can you please help?
The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. I have an iPod touch 4th generation and after sending emoji it no longer works. Every time I try to open iMessage it closes. I have already tried resetting and restarting my iPod and neither has worked.

I am updating the software on my daughters IPOD touch 4th generation and it is going on 4 hours now. I know this is not normal. What can I do? It synced just fine, but has been stuck on "updating ipod software" for 3 hours now!
She has had it for about 6 months and this is the first time we have plugged it into the computer since then. I can not exit out of itunes either.If you still have the problem after retoring the iPOd to factory defaults/new iPod then The iPod is likely defective and replacement is required. You can make an appoinment at the Genius Bar of an APple store or take it back to BestBuy if within warranty

I have an ipod touch 4th generation and have just recently downloaded the new update. I was wondering why the videos that I had added in my playlist won't show up. Is there anyway that I could get my videos to appear in my playlist? They are still in my ipod in the video section, but just won't appear in my playlist.
iOS6 problems aplenty ....not sure if the link I inserted is working or not, but the issue is a lot more prevalent - the issue being that what shows up & plays in iTunes after the iOS6 update is not what shows up (& plays) on the device itself. This may go beyond just the iPod Touch as well.
In my case I can see & play both audio & video files in my Playlist through iTunes, but can only see the Playlists on the iPod Touch with ALL of them being empty. Syncing numerous times no help. Contacting Apple Tech. Support no help - they suggested downloading my Purchases from the iTunes Store - waste of time, did not make a difference. It is clear Apple needs to release a fix to OS6.
Another problem I noticed on the device is that the Shuffle option is hidden on the built-in Songs Playlist, having to swipe the screen down to see it - dumb dumb dumb. -

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
